....so maybe a 1/1 comparison isn't valid then? Especially when it comes to temporal hax which is significantly different between the two, not like TP. You seem to contradict your own points a lot.
If you want to go down that road of reasoning then no, it's not valid at all. In fact it's an entirely pointless exercise like I previously mentioned. Therefore for the purpose of making a debate like this even worth having, you should try to find some way of making the logic of the two universes compatible with each other.
All I was saying is, it's a consistent theme among DB characters for them to become immune to more esoteric forms of combat the stronger they are, Beerus is even implied to be immune to toon force through sheer strength. Based on this pattern, given how strong Jiren is stated to be, I think if this fight were to actually happen, it's possible that any magic hax Odin tried would end up being ineffective. I don't see why that's such a controversial thing to say.
@professorrespect: How is it an invalid comparsion lol, it's literally the exact same thing. Hax can be out-stated in DB and it can't in Marvel, it just comes down to which you want to give priority to.
@thedailybagel: If that's the logic you're going with then what even is the point of debating anything. That's like saying you can't use Superman resisting Martian Manhunter's telepathy as evidence for him resisting Professor X's telepathy because it's a different kind of telepathy from a different universe so it works differently. I can't argue with that logic but it does sort of make the whole exercise pointless.
Odin has barrels full of hax but Dragon Ball characters tend to become immune to hax at high power levels which Jiren certainly qualifies for
*immune to hax that's drastically underpowered for the verse
It's just a quirk of the DB universe which makes it a bit distinct from Marvel. In Marvel your planet level characters are bricks who punch and kick real good, but the galaxy and universe level characters are reality warpers, magic users, matter manipulators etc. In Dragon Ball the universe level characters are also bricks who bunch and kick real good, just better than the planet level ones.
Jiren has a feat resisting time hax from Hit who is objectively > SSG Goku who is universe level, is that not enough for you to think he'd resist time hax from Odin?
Hit's powers explicitly lose effectiveness the bigger the gap in power is between himself and whoever he's using it on. The verse is obviously very heavy on the whole raw power >>>> anything.
There's no reason those limitations should apply to other verses and characters like Odin.
That's not just Hit, that's just how it works in the Dragon Ball universe. Buu escaped from a pocket dimension through sheer strength, Vegeta could resist Babidi's mind control through strength, it's a stat-based verse.

Blast is lacking in AP and durability feats. He might outspeed Gohan, but we've never seen anything suggesting he could inflict serious damage. Also Garou never landed a hit on him so his durability is unknown. The 15 minute time limit is kind of a non-factor since that will feel like a lifetime to characters of this speed.
