I like Jesus alright, but I don't think he was the son of God and I don't believe he came back from the dead.
I think a lot of the people who do believe that are pretty good people and lead pretty good lives. Some of them don't.
Hi, why don't you believe Him as the Son of God? But, do you believe in God though?
All the prayers and church services and Bible verses I have encountered never felt like anything but a bunch of folks trying to say the same thing over and over again with the intent that I would eventually agree with them. I just don't buy it.
I'm not really sure I believe in God, either. On a day-to-day basis, I'm casually open to the idea, but not interested enough to dwell on it. The more I get pushed on it, the more I am likely to push back.
Like I said, I think Jesus himself must have been a heckuva guy. I don't believe all the things attributed to him actually happened to him, but if even a fraction did, he was certainly a moral leader.
Okay, would you try to ask God to show Himself? Just pray to Him to show you the truth. You know, I'm a christian not because I just happened to choose this religion out of all the religions in the world, but because God has led me to the truth. I had doubts several times in my lifetime about His existence, about Jesus, etc., I asked Him to make my faith stronger in Him. And what happened after that, I was invited to join my church's ministry (which strengthened my faith in Him), it became easier to feel His presence while I was praying, I was healed from my mild depression, from masturbation addiction, and so on.
Man, it is okay to not believe what I said. But just let God lead you to the truth. Because let's say if christianity is the truth, if you just believe in God but not Jesus as your savior and God, then your sins have not been redeemed by the blood of Jesus and therefore, you will have to face God's judgment.
