I don't get the hype for Fiona Stables. Her art seems average and kind of bland at times. I understand that this is a favorite list, and favorite doesn't mean best, so I shouldn't complain. I just don't understand her popularity. This list seems to have mostly newer guys and a couple people from the 2000s and 90s. I'm not a fan of a lot of the newer art.

My favorite artists:

  • John Byrne. He is old school, but he still holds up surprisingly well when you look at his drawings.
  • Steve McNiven. Even though Death of Wolverine was bad, his art still made the book worth purchasing.
  • Andy Kubert. He was good in the 90s, but his best was in the 2000s. His run on Ultimate X-Men was his best work imo.
  • Adam Kubert he's not as good as his brother but I still like him.
  • Mark Bagley. I first grew to like him on Ultimate Spider-Man. The artists who replaced him after he left really made me miss him.
  • Marc Silvestri he had a magnificent three year run on X-Men.
  • Jim Lee. He was great on X-Men but his best work was drawing Superman in the 2000s.
  • John Romita Jr. He was amazing in the 70s and 80s. He failed to evolve with the times though. While time went on and better artists joined the industry, he stayed the same. Being a bronze age fan, I still gotta love him. His best work was on Iron Man: Demon in a Bottle imo.
  • Clayton Crain. One of the best artists in the industry who uses a realistic style. In general I prefer realism over cartooney.
  • Alex Maleev. He is amazing. I was introduced to him on Daredevil.
  • John Cassaday. I am not really a fan of Whedon's X-Men, but it did have pretty art. He was also on Uncanny Avengers, but X-Men was his best.
  • Bryan Hitch. Another artist who is great at realism.
  • Frank Miller. His best was on Daredevil.
  • Joe Quesada. Like Bagley, he is another artist who uses a cartooney style that I really like. He was great on X-Factor and Daredevil.
  • Brian Bolland. He was great on Judge Dredd.
  • Mike Mignola. Two words: Hellboy. Shit, that was one word.
  • Chris Bachalo. He was great on Ultimate X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, and Generation X.
  • Becky Cloonan. Her art is a bit of a acquired taste, but I like her dark and gritty style.
