@self-dceit: I am not sure if you believe you will change my opinion but you will not. I know that little girls don't care about these things because they are young and I want them to be provided with multiple options and when you hand them a website and say 'this is for you' and nothing else, it hardly seems fair.

However, this conversation will go nowhere for several reasons, One, neither of us is going to change the others mind, Two, this is a forum about discussion and it will never reach anyone from DC so neither of our opinions matter in the greater scheme of things, Three, I've said what I want to say and know that any girl or really any person will make their own choices and I simply hope that it is not one that perpetuates old stereotypes which are still being enforced these days which does bother me.

Wrongheaded, ill-informed opinions needn't be changed, only to be shown for their folly. Life tends to take care of the rest.

the only people who seem to have an issue with the show looking like its for little girls are older white guys who want to tell girls what to like.

Exactly.

Thank you for sharing your opinion :) It is how we all grow as people

You grow by learning, not by sharing opinions. Especially nonsensical ones about "reinforcing older female stereotypes" that little girls care not the least bit about, and have repeatedly and consistently proven to be beyond wrongheaded.

Young girls should be allowed to make their own decisions

Then let them, instead of pontificating about what companies should target them with and acting as if you know what girls actually want, need and like. Which, for the record, you demonstrably haven't the faintest idea about.
