Had bad news a few days ago. A friend who I'm keeping tabs on attempted suicide by overdosing herself with paracetamol. I just knew after she posted a pic of her already in the hospital...and it sucks how heavy I felt after seeing that. People like her are desperate to end it all, to find solace to their pain. We can't fully understand why they feel that way, but we can be present for them, make them feel they aren't alone. Sometimes I am at loss for words when they ask me what to do... *sigh* What a way to end the year, huh

Engaged ^_^

Really? Congrats!

I got things I really needed: a smol backpack (the only one I brought from my province now has a hole :<), a mug (for coffee sessions in the office), and a handkerchief (my set was lost in my uncle's house). Also some crossword and sudoku books to answer.

@bumpyboo: thanks! I'm willing to help /listen. Let's help break the stigma about mental illnesses. (Also probably why I got hooked to Moon Knight in the first place lmao)

If only they knew which quark to spin, maybe they could pull off reality warping. Too sophisticated work tho, maybe Pym could pull it off

@ccraft: Great thread m8. I have a few things for you and all the viners here:

1. Being in love romantically helps, sure, but trust me, it's not the only way. I think the more effective approach is looking for your purpose in life. Easy to say, hard to do, I know. I've been in love and out of it, and hell the falling out pumps your misery anew. Finding your purpose may take a while, but once you do find it, never let it go. :>

2. Maaaaan I only found this today when I've been here when this thread started, but come to think of it, maybe it's meant to be. Old me would've said things that could've offended or made things worse, glad I've learned about this issue before I got to say something about it here.

3. Having a small circle of dedicated friends helps. Those who know what you've been through, those who stayed true and stuck with you, those kind of friends. Of course do the same for them. Love and support, people. I have a circle of friends that I'm looking over, and also share some of the sad stuff I go through, and frankly I already consider them family.

4. If you guys want someone to listen, I'm all ears as much as possible. Being lonely sucks, keeping your thoughts, pain, and misery to yourself sucks even more. And to others who want to help, sometimes it gets overwhelming. I've been in that situation too, and it really is a grief to know how much suffering they've been through, much more if you're an empath. Take a break sometimes, to cleanse yourself and stabilize your emotional state.

5. Last, if you have been helping someone with all you have and he's sti showing no signs of improving/signs of regresssion, then it's okay to jump ship. That's already toxic, but before you leave em, explain why. Leave nothing to doubt. Experienced this once: this kid was using self-pity for attention and was repeating the same shit again and again that I realized I was wasting my effort. But then again, consult others first before doing this, alright?

Hold on guys, we can make it together. Let's make this place better :>
