I have to say that Light's Out, while definitely strong in the beginning, kind of fell flat for me in the end. I felt that taking the entities out of the equation was pretty unnecessary. It feels like Venditti is trying way too hard to separate himself from Geoff Johns and the mythology he created. Be careful, Robert. The reason this series was so successful was because of that mythology.

If that's the code, it wasn't very difficult.

As far as DC goes, I would've put Professor Pyg over Joker.

I hate butchers.

Companies don't care about what's socially acceptable. They care about their bottom line, and women's racy costumes are a big part of that. They sell.

This about sums up my opinion.

I'm highly anticipating this, actually. The constructs look a little pale, though.

And Chang would want to be a Star Sapphire; that's cute. Maybe they'll expand the violet light to men in the future!

I thought they said that those were just the picks the first year around.

And I am definitely picking this up.

I'm loving the art on the box! It reminds me of the Tekken series.

Though keep in mind that this is a quote used from a random encounter VS fight.

Given prep, Joker, as time has shown, has been known to do some actual damage. But because he stays in Gotham. If he were to try to pull something like this around Superman or Wonder Woman, especially in the New 52, he wouldn't stand a chance. There are plenty of other deserving villains that have proven to be contenders against stronger heroes than Batman.

I was worried at first about having yet another 'revelation in the GL universe,' but, having read it, I'm not as hesitant. I'm especially glad that we're getting a much needed new villain. GL issue twenty-four earned all five stars. Great issue.
