@thor_parker82: 8/10 is the same as 4/5, which is exactly what this review gives it. So I'd say that this review is pretty accurate to the general consensus right now.
@thor_parker82: User reviews from IMDB are usually always positive before release, but they take a bit of a dive after the general public sees it. Not saying that AoU isn't good, it probably is, but IMDB pre-release user reviews aren't usually the best source.

It wasn't. The removal of the gritty filter showed what a TRUE Superman should look like. Reminiscent of the Reeves Superman movies or the underrated Superman Returns. The bright campiness is one of the greatest things about Superman and Man of Steel destroyed that.

A movie simply being serious, like MoS was, is very different from a movie "ripping off Batman". And the color palette nothing to do with either.

@jaken7: Uh, yeah. That's exactly what I did. I get that you're being sarcastic, but reading a summary of a script is a pretty legit way to know what happens in that script. And the age of the script doesn't matter, because the guy had just read it just before writing the summary.
