Mia Heike Rondstrum (Under construction)

When you're born to a family with a tradition with both magic and business a lot is expected of you. In Mia's case, they at first got their hopes up, seeing how much power she really had, but as she grew, her inability to control their lineage magic, as well as a considerably less businesslike personality, made their hopes dwindle. In their eyes, she became much more akin to merely an...extra. She had to seek teaching elsewhere for her abilities, as the family was too naturally attuned to their gifts to understand what it's like to be out of control, and they were not particularly inclined on bringing someone from nothing to where they needed her. She felt excluded, and almost disowned. But she kept on, if she couldn't help the family, she would help everyone else. Her gifts were powerful, but were difficult to master. She began to research spells, conjurations, enchantments, things which were a bit easier to preform with words guiding her power instead of pure instinct and force.

At around fifteen Mia had an unfortunate accident, she lost her right arm while practicing her fire magic, accidentally sheering through it with ice. The experience was agonizing, and is a significant reason for why she avoids using her natural gifts of wide ranged effects unless she must. While the arm was replaced by one of the Rondstrums advanced prosthetics, Mia has not forgotten this incident, nor is she as capable in that arm as before with magic.

Armor of a vampire:

An enchantment that Mia actually learned from her older sister Beatrice, it is said to be designed by a hemokinetic vampire long ago. The enchantment requires only a single spoken word after it has been fully completed one time, which requires quite the number of resources, time, and power, as well as an unfortunately hefty portion of the users blood initially, which for a vampire was less of an issue, as they could simply consume more, but for Mia took a great deal of preparation. Once fully initiated, the blood forms around the users body like a full body suit. This suit is malleable to the users wishes, taking most any desired shape and becoming at their complete disposal while using minimal energy to do so. Without further enchantment, it's durability is around that of bone, however the armor is empowered by the existence of living things nearby and the speed and strength of their metabolism, alternatively it can be exponentially increased based on Mia allowing it to take some of her own blood.

The ability to control the armor also permits her to greatly increase her speed and strength, offers her a form of flight, and can allow her to use the blood in various forms offensively or defensively. It is also able to draw blood from others using tendrils or contact, increasing it in proportion to the power of those whom it draws from. The suit can also allow her to breathe without actually having to take in oxygen, storing it up and giving her hours worth to utilize in any conditions.

Advanced prosthetic:

From Mia's hand to her upper right arm, is a completely cybernetic arm designed by the Rondstrums. While Mia's mergance abilities are far inferior to the others, it does still give her arm a greater advantage then were it on another person, as she is able to fluently control its aspects and have a form of sense superior then the artificial one it already possesses. It also makes it almost impossible for it to be controlled by a technopath or telikinetic somehow.

The arm itself is made of a combination of carbon and various metals making it extremely hard to break, enough so that it is entirely bulletproof.

This arm is able to move unlike others, having a design that allows its pieces to seperate should the cognition, or in this case mergance, of the individual allow it, and thus creating a very heightened form of dexterity. The arm possesses somewhat heightened strength, allowing her enough to lift cars...if she is able to keep her back and legs planted.

Anima spells/enchantments:

Legend of a thousand spears:

A spell designed specifically for having a vast number of attacks at once. Taking around thirty seconds to say the spell, the last word is followed by a series of discs of light which release a literal thousand spears launched at around mach 1 which can be targeted on a specific enemy or a large force. However once the spell has been completed the spears will disappear in another thirty seconds.

Pull the curtain:

Thirty second verbal spell. This spell is a truth spell, by speaking it, if it is directed at a person or thing, the thing is release the truth without any other deceptions or trickery for any questions asked. This includes even documents and records. The other option is directing it in a location, opening up the truth much like opening up a window causing illusions to be dispersed.

The starbeam:

Single word spell, sends a blast of solar energy in a line. This spell is contained so as not to cause radiation damage or sheer spread heat to everyone present, rather it is focused even after hitting its target.

Energy swarm:

Three second spell. Energy swarm creates a "swarm" of energy target tracking collectives of thermal and electrical energy which go after a target with enough energy to burn through flesh, heat up metal, and disrupt electronic devices it makes contact with.

Shield of Lancelot:

Three word spell. This spell can create up to three shields of varying levels of durability that obey the orders of the caster. The weakest can deflect anything from sniper rounds to lightning. The second can halt most tank rounds. The third is capable of halting solar flares from close range.

OOC: Yes I am just too tired to write an entire thing right now but this needs to get up. Basically, similair powerset to CVU but without the Shadow Man, gonna elaborate more on her anima magic in this then I did in CVU, and gonna have a different history/family.

Mia Heike Rondstrum (Under construction)

Name: Mia Heike Rondstrum

Age: 18

Mia was perhaps not as capable as her brother, and sometimes even less coordinated then an average person. However Mia is an extremely powerful mage. Mia is one of the only members of the family to utilize multiple types of elemental magic along with conjuration. Unfortunately, once it comes to offensive magic, or movement magic, she is a bit uncontrolled.

However, because of her inability to be precise or in control, Mia mostly uses defensive magic and golems she took her time creating...or ends up breaking something because she was rushed.

Mia is a very cheerful individual, and a bit of an oddball of the family. She is a bit more easily persuaded then the others, but at the same time, is much more open to reasoning that contradicts the Rondstrum traditions then the others are. Because of this, she has mostly stayed quiet about it aside from her uncle.

Power/skills:

Mergence: Unlike the others in her family, Mia's skill with Mergence is almost nonexistent. She is somewhat capable, able to use it for very basic things such as helping prosthetics function properly, but otherwise is mostly useless in this area.

Natural Magic:

Mia's natural magical ability is phenomenal, the sheer power which she possesses is almost impossible to hide. With ease she can create walls of stone or flame, raise an army of golems, and generate magical shields. Unfortunately, this amount of magic is extremely difficult for Mia to control, a wall of flame might spread too quickly, or one of stone might grow so high and big that it would fall and collapse with devastating effects. It is because of this Mia usually will stick to things that she can control, golems, certain defensive abilities, simple moves, and certain anima magic. Because of just how powerful she truly is, Mia has never actually pushed herself in regards to how much she can output simply due to the fact trying to do so without some incredible form of containment would result in such destruction and possible lives lost that it would not be worth attempting.

Anima magic:

Mia is just about as strong with anima as she is with her hereditary magic. Exactly why Mia has so much power in this is not exactly clear. But whatever the reason, it is there. She uses anima magic to enchant things, create areas under her control, make talismans which usually possess a certain elemental aspect to them, and to conjure station-airy teleportation

The elemental lady:

Unlike most of her family, Mia actively utilizes multiple forms of elemental magic, the easiest being fire and stone, though she can most assuredly manipulate the majority of "elements", shadow, lightning, water, so on, they are not as common to be used. She typically utilizes this in the form of massive walls, surges of movement or generation, or to help her move around.

Teleportation methods:

Using Mia can attach Talismans to a location, allowing her to teleport to the set location (carrying the talisman with her), or from the location to the talisman. These talismans can be almost anything, and typically with either require greater preparation or using specialized symbols for quicker, but more noticeable, talismans. The stationairy location requires but a word to open, and appears as a portal, whereas the talisman can function with mere thought and only teleports the being and things directly in contact with it. Talisman magic uses anima.

She is actually quite capable of using her natural magic in order to create portals or teleport. However, her inability to control it usually means she may end up even thirty or so yards from her intended location. This allows her to use it to avoid an attack, but it also makes it far more difficult to actually get places.

Golems:

Mia's most used application for her abilities. This is mostly applied en mass. Like her brother, Mia is actually very skilled at creating them quickly, however unlike him she doesn't actually even need to touch them, on the other hand doing it quickly will almost always result in a simple being unless she used it on a taxidermy or something with existing structure such as statue or manican, etc. On the other hand, this means that with astonishingly little effort Mia can raise a hand and have an army of stone and flame at her side. While these beings may not be any form of superior golems, their numbers and ability to regenerate make them difficult to contend with.

If given time however, Mia is able to create Golems so complex just how human or sentient they are is almost questionable. This is in part due to golems being her main form of magic since she cannot control herself well enough to use many others.

The Shadow Man

The Shadow Man is one of Mia's most impressive feats of making things come to life. It was made using a mannequin wearing the clothing of another descendent of the Founder, Ryan Falar. Nicknamed The Shadow Man due to not only the cloak, but his choice of magic. Mia often simply refers to him by the name of who his clothing came from.

While visually almost identical to Ryan Falar, he is still in fact made of only wood and cloth, which like other golems is able to simply reconstruct if damaged.

The Shadow Man is extremely fast, this is due to two things, his magic, and how his mergence evolved.

Shadow magic: Ryan can manipulate shadows to create solid objects, teleport, sense what is in them, silence his movements, and to become semi-intangible and transparent.

Dimensional shifting:

The Shadow Man can slip through dimensions at will, allowing him a form of impossible travel, even going one dimensional and back denying reality and traveling an impossible distance in a moment in spite of anything in between.

Combativeness:

Ryan is extremely skilled in combat using powers, swordplay, and unarmed.

Competency:

As a highly complex golem, he possesses alarming intellect and behavior that is disturbingly close to actually being human.

The after-kill

It had been a little while since he had gone after someone calling himself Zero. The result was...more brutal then anticipated. He killed him. At least, physically. The fight was relatively short, a few words and just as few strikes. All in all, it had turned out easier then expected. The individual had the ability to obtain another persons powers and had begun on Joseph's, but due to his cybernetics and the design of his suit, he was able to cut him in half after an already failed attempt to do so. The man's last breath was still on his mind,

"I see now. I've only been the Fool. I know that was magic you just channeled there. I. . . .wielded it myself . . .before. I'll be seeing you next time, Magician. Death is no bar to my power,"

It was not something Joseph took lightly. It wasn't the first time he'd heard of mages who could seemingly come back with a different body. Only recently there was another instance during his "party" so to speak in which he'd met someone who didn't seem to stay dead for long.

It didn't help that the man had kept speaking of a voice inside his head that guided him. And that the last words were probably from that being, rather then him. This person was going to come back, perhaps not in the same way, but they'd return. It was a magic wielder, he was sure of that, it said as much after-all.

He flinched as he remembered cutting through him, the bone, the blood, the flesh as his blade sliced through it. Joseph clenched his fist on the desk in front of him, slowly splintering it. He was not expecting that. They were looking for a psychologist about it. His uncle told him it wasn't that surprising, even if he believed the person hadn't died, he'd gone through all the motions of what it would be like to kill someone even if they deserved it. He knew he was trying to kill the guy after he realized what he could do. But the action, just never occurred to him what the consequences would be. He let go and looked at the splinters, one of which had buried slightly into his hand. He pulled it out and looked at it mind going blank for a moment.

"What have I gotten myself into?" He said aloud. Too late to go back now. He might get called a hero for killing someone who had already slain a few meta's before. But he didn't feel any glory in it. Just uncertainty. What else could he have done. There wasn't much. But it might still haunt him.

Rondstrum Cybernetics (Company CVU) (Under construction)

Based mostly in Europe and various parts of asia, Rondstrum Cybernetics has grown greatly since it began. They have a few deals with medical matters in pieces of the americas.

Rondstrum Cybernetics, a family founded company that dated back many centuries in Origen, but was only made official under it's current name around 1930. However it had gone through quite a number of periods with varying names, many of which were unofficial.

Rondstrum Cybernetics is also a somewhat misleading term unfortunately, as the company has done things from cybernetic to prosthetics and even "exoskeletons" of sorts designed for people who still have their limbs but can't use them, but also do not want to alter them. It is also important to note many of Rondstrum's services are not cybernetic, but bionic.

Rondstrum Cybernetics is well known for their considerably cheaper expenses compared to others of the same quality service. And also are known for helping anyone in need, going so far as to specifically have a sub charity group they help sponsor for people not capable of paying for all of the expenses.

Rondstrum Cybernetics has done so well, because it's origins lie not just in the technology that the family and company have come to be experts in, but because of the family's ability called Mergance. The ability to merge non living things with living things without any of the usual conflicts, as well as even causing them to work together almost as if it came to life. In addition, many of the earlier prosthetics and cybernetics were enchanted in such a way to increase the persons ability to use them. Unfortunately, after becoming more mass productive, they ceased doing so except in express circumstances.

Cybernetic eye:

There are many people who lose blind-less for various reason, and while many do involve matters within the brain or the eyes connection to the brain, there are also plenty which are directly related to the eye itself. The cybernetic eye surgery can often assist with both eye injuries and the nerves and muscles that connect it to the head and brain. This eye not only can restore a persons vision to it's fullest, but increases it ten times what it was before. Allowing the person to see far better then they ever could. While there are advanced versions which have greater aspects, or additional features, it often requires more money, and would certainly not need to be standard as such an act could actually cause people to intentionally harm their own eyes to get a cybernetic one.

Prosthetic leg (wireless version):

A device specifically for those who have lost an entire, or most of, their leg. And do not have the muscles and nerves that the Rondstrum technology can attach the leg to. This prosthetic leg is one specifically for people who do not want it to be completely attached to them. Because of this, it has a harness of sorts that subtly wraps around some of the persons lower torso in order to go about their day without removing it.

If it is not an enchanted leg, then it relies upon changes in the persons weight, muscle movements in the torso and any pieces of the leg that may be there, and the various sensors on the leg, to decide just how it's supposed to move through an advanced programming system. One of the only real disadvantages of this leg is that it will not be able to be as dexterous in the toes, nor can it give the person a sense of what's going on except for through sight changes in pressure the leg is designed to give meant to be intuitive for the person to get an idea of what the leg is near or touching.

If it is enchanted, a bit more expensive as the Rondstrums do not mass produce these the same way. Then it is actually able to respond to how a persons conscious and unconscious decisions to move their leg, and can in fact over time allow them to sense the leg and what it can sense.

Cybernetic hand:

Lost a forearm or hand? Or perhaps the nerves are not functioning properly. There's an assortment of surgeries for that, conglomerated under cybernetics in the hand. Even Joseph Rondstrum has made use of an altered form of this, however in his case he used it to enhance himself.

The hands are designed to work with a persons nerves, fixing whatever their hand was failing at, if it was there at all. One of the most impressive matters of this is that the Rondstrums have figured out how to totally integrate it both ways.

Military cooperation:

The Rondstrum's have always been on good terms with military and law enforcement. However they do not typically sell them weapons.

There are a few strict rules that the Rondstrums follow when working with military. While they greatly support the idea of military, Ryth Rondstrum made the decision that making a significant profit on it was almost dishonorable considering they were already greatly profiting off of helping others. For this reason, most cooperation with official forces is for the victims, medical care packages, and discounts on services.

There have been various times where they were willing to make exceptions to this, supplying other forms of supplies or temporarily producing advanced weapons or exoskeletons, however they have requirements that must be followed for these procedures.

In spite of this, Rondstrum Cybernetics has numerous designs and advanced prototypes of weapons that are kept under "lock and key" so to speak, which were simply never mass produced. Some of which come from the Rondstrum's themselves.

Rondstrum armory

Engel:

The Engel is a suit of armor that Joseph designed and had produced. The design focused around cybernetics but was meant to be used in combination with his abilities and skill.

An important aspect of the suit is what it's made of, "Angelic stone" and vibranium weave.

The vibranium weave is what constructs the more flexible parts of the suit. As it is not purely vibranium, bearing other materials to allow for better fluidity, it isn't quite as durable and does bear less durability, but is certainly still extremely tough.

"Angelic stone" is merely the phrase the Rondstrums use for a rock that they create mostly out of various types of marble, plant based life, and merge together while being infused with magic which gives it fantastical properties. The exact properties of the stones vary from creator to creator, or if there is more then one. However in the case of the Engel it is smooth beyond reason, tough enough to hold up to adamantium blades, can take an extremely heavy impact, and have almost no reaction to changes in temperature. The angelic stone's placement and design, allows Joseph to also use his powers with increased effeciency, boosting his ability to use magic, and allowing him to merge the materials as well as merge things through them. As it was Joseph who took part in creating the stone, it is very resistant to outside manipulative magic or powers while he is in contact with it, making it more difficult to use things like telekinesis on it, or curse it in some way. This doesn't mean it's immune, a strong enough power or magic could still have significant effects on it, however weaker spells are most likely negligible.

The dragon:

A series of enchantments and magic were placed upon the armor which grant it the ability to create a dragon of lightning and fire that moves swiftly to obey his command before it must return to the suit or dissipate. The dragon is extremely powerful, fast, and moves with grace and fluidity. This does take it's toll on the suit however, causing it to heat up inside and will make its ability to increase magic much less useful. However, in a rush, the lightning and fiery dragon can make for a devestating tool.

Skeletal enhancement:

The suit is made with an exoskeleton design which speeds up and strengthens the users movements ten fold of what they were before by acting on slight internal movements. In combination with Josephs training and existing strength, this can make for a horrifying amount of strength and speed. It took time to learn how to properly use this without endangering himself but he figured it out eventually.

Vision:

The helmet uses technology to offer a 360ยบ view of what's going on, with thermal and electroceptive vision, along with a very useful aspect to it, the suit allows even non mages to be able to see magic and how it works. While this may not teach them how to use it, it would make invisibel magical or magically hidden things visible to them. It would also essentially allow them to see a sort of estimate of how powerful who they're looking at is.

Custodius:

Custodius is the sword that had great part in giving Joseph the idea of making Engel. It was made from Angels stone and he practiced and enchanted it in such a way that in his hands the two would become so extremely in sync that his ability to use it went beyond mere skill or physical prowess, he could mimic or learn any swordplay he saw used, at least while he was still holding the sword.

Name: Bernard Rillian Rondstrum "Bernie"

Age: 65

Height: 5'9"

AKA: Pyromaniac (formerly) "Crazy Bernie"

Bernard Rillian Rondstrum was a volunteer into the army in order to fight during the Vietnam war. He was one of his family's best elemental mages having absurd pyrokinetic magical skill and power, and was also considered the third greatest mind that they had had at the time. He was also a staunch believer in that they needed to outperform the Yggdmillenia family and after the way the Rondstrums were going to use him as a sort of leader of the family in order to further their company and appearances. His actions, however, eventually ended up with him being seriously injured. To the point of possibly dying, and in that time, it was the very people he considered rivals who saved his life. Since then he felt indebted to them, willing to help whenever he could, and was now very against the rivalry that they had had for so long. He became far more friendly, and his abilities were forgotten by his family even though he likely remains one of the most dangerous fighters they have.

Name: Beatrice Viara Rondstrum

Age: 35

Height: 5'7"

Although Beatrice went along with some of the family traditions, she was not so much into the healing part of the family. While extremely good at mergence, Beatrice enjoyed fighting to an extreme, she became rogue-like and ended up almost totally separating herself from the rest of them. Her combat skills were phenomenal, and her magical abilities were not dissimilar to those of her parents. Able to become invisible, phase through things, alter her age and age appearance at will, and could change her weight (though not so much gravities effect on that weight.) In addition Beatrice was able to manipulate the wind and air with magic, and would often create extremely small golems which she could use for a variety of purposes. Although she hangs around the family occasionally, she was totally cut out from the benefits of being a Rondstrum other then her abilities as she wouldn't listen to a word they said.

Name: Joseph Ikaru Rondstrum

Height: 5'10"

Joseph is the Rondstrum "Future champion" of sorts. Very powerful, skilled, knowledgable, determined, and a wielder of excellent lightning magic, he followed most any orders his parents would give him. He stuck in line with their traditions almost too much at first, until he was ordered by his father to "Tone down the anger and hot headed rashness" and did his best to do so. He went so far as to personally implant cybernetics into himself using his mergence abilities while he was still rather young. Making him extremely skilled at using them. While he is aware he has much to learn that could help him, he's still a considerably dangerous individual.

Son: Joseph Ikaru

Daughter: Beatrice Viara

Aka: "Ghost Commander"

Ryth Bigar Rondstrum didn't officially join the war like his brother, but he was very much involved in it. Although he stayed back with the company most of the time, supplying forces with their prosthetics and cybernetics, he had his moments of combat in which he was best known as the Ghost Commander. While Bernard was their greatest elemental mage of the time, Ryth was the best at golem's. His ability to create them seemingly out of thin air, created almost entirely out of semi transparent energy, as well being able to make himself invisible and almost totally immaterial, gave him the name Ghost Commander when he'd occasionally get involved. Exactly what his abilities were and their extent was never clarified as he'd rarely stay for long and only showed up in dire circumstances and left once the forces had things in control. Ryth took Bernards place as leader after the war and took the company on with excellent skill, he was also the main reason subterfuge was considered.

Aka: Eternal Maiden

Aryana married into the Rondstrum family to Ryth. She shared with him a particular oddity, and one of only two abilities she possessed, the ability to slow times effect on a their age. Why Aryana and Ryth were attracted to one another in the first place was kept between the two, but while Ryth is very reserved and controlled, Aryana is much more outgoing, though she was surprisingly accepting of the families traditions.

Aryana's second ability to introduce to the family was not so much magic as it was genetic, she was a mutant with the ability to alter gravity's effect on her without impairing her strength or other ill effects of it. In other words, she could be impossible for someone else to move, but would be able to walk completely fine on her own, or practically float without the discomfort of being weightless. Whether or not this ability could be passed on was not seen.

Age: Deceased

Marya was a wife into the family, but was also the reason elemental magic became incorporated. A german traveling mage who's ability with fire magic was spectacular. She began to teach the others how to use it, and was also the families origin of some of their Conjuring.

Bernard had been inspired by her abilities and focused his magical abilities off of hers. He did however manage to become more powerful then his family hero eventually.

Name: Mierr Rondstrum

AKA: The founder

Age: Deceased

Mier was born hundreds of years ago and was the start of the family's legacy. Whether or not he was the first mage of the line is unknown, but he was the one to market the Mergence ability due to his unbelievable power and skill with it. From the records the family has of his abilities, only Joseph Ikaru shows promise to match what he was capable of which sometimes verged on necromancy. He was the origen of golems for the family as well, passing down the talents through many generations. His skills were also said to have gone so far he could alter the very air itself and control or change a person just by touching them. Some claims believe he could change reality and time, but these are not able to be proven.

Mergence:

Mergence is the family ability which permits them to synchronize with whatever they touch, or cause it to synchronize with someone else. After Mierr, this ability weakened, mostly it became allowing them to merge a limb to a person, for instance made of wood or metal, which would often possess super-strength, and would feel akin to their real limb though clearly distinguishable. It would also take away the chances of infection and rot that would normally come with having a wooden prosthetic attached directly into the flesh of a person. There are still a number of occasions where this ability was used as simply a form of direct telekinesis on whatever they were touching, but it was not commonly used even if they were able. In it's later years, Mergence became the ability to perfectly synchronize with prosthetics and exoskeletons rather then using natural elements, as that was the common use for it when people began using more artificial replacements. It is for this reason that most Rondstrums have many of their clothes lined with wires and small electronic joints, as they can then greatly increase their strength and speed just by wearing their clothes. Some, such as Joseph and Beatrice, are able to even just use regular clothes to enhance their strength.
