Arkham Batman:
The Man:
The Myth:
The Legend:
Part One: Stats
Strength:
Lifting Strength:
Striking Power:
*Note that a weaker version of Croc was able to easily tank a sledgehammer strike to his face from Mr. Hammer:
As well as being strong enough to easily lift a huge steel girder:
Speed/Agility:
Reactions:
Travel Speed:
In the games, Batman is regularly shown as clearing tens of feet horizontally in a single jump, this could be chalked up to game-play mechanics, however, it is validated by the fact that Batman has been shown to be able to (even as a relative rookie) clear eighteen-feet in a single jump before an assailant could even fire a shot:
Combat Speed:
Durability:
Blunt-Force:
He can survive falls from extreme heights with little discomfort, though in the former gif his cape seems to slow him down to a degree.
As can be seen above, Batman can withstand extensive punishment from the massively superhuman Bane, being hurled through prison/asylum walls, punched repeatedly etc. and is always able to continue fighting, whether Bane is on Titan, Venom or TN-1.
Note that Bane's strength is so great that he can perform feats such as hurling cars/apcs and crushing boulders:
He consistently tanks enormous punishment from other extremely powerful tanks that extend well beyond low-metahuman tier, such as Titan Joker, Solomon Grundy and Killer Croc:
Explosive Damage:
Batman is able to withstand being locked in a metal room with high-powered explosives and survives with absolutely no damage to his person, though his suit (Arkham City) is completely destroyed.
Part Two: Skill
Training:
Not a great deal is known about the extent of Arkham Batman's training, but as with most incarnations of Batman, Arkham Batman is an extensively well-trained combatant and seemingly the best in his world, having already honed his skills for years before being trained by Grandmaster Kirigi.
Bruce bested all of Kirigi's students in both stealth and hand to hand combat, even defeating the legendary Lady Shiva before he could receive Kirigi's full tutelage.
Note that Lady Shiva's martial skill is so great that she is regarded as peerless and is shown as being capable of defeating seven far larger, stronger and armed thugs in seconds with utter ease:
Yet even during his training period, before he had received actual tutelage from Kirigi and over a decade from what would be considered his prime, Bruce was already her superior, as shown in the above video.
By the time of Arkham City, Batman would be an expert in most forms of martial arts. It should also be noted that Batman was responsible for the training of the entire Bat-family.Fodder:
Throughout the games, Batman is regularly depicted as being able to demolish large groups of men, be they rough, burly street-thugs, highly trained mercenaries, or elite ninja. Below are some examples:
Batman vs Swarm of thugs:
Batman is able to fight a literal swarm of thugs, only being forced to resort to the use of his taser when the freakishly strong, sledgehammer wielding "Mr Hammer" enters the fray.
Batman vs Joker Thugs:
He is able to easily defeat eight large thugs with a smile.
Bruce Wayne vs The League of Assassins:
Unarmed, unarmoured and unprepared, Bruce is able to dispatch many armed and highly trained members of the League of Shadows, easily defeating four at once before clearing an entire building of them with apparent ease.
Batman/Bruce Wayne vs Goons without looking:
Note that the second image takes place immediately after the aforementioned explosion.
Batman vs Tyger Soldiers:
Batman is consistently able to easily dismantle waves of Tyger troops, who are far from generic fodder, being well-equipped and having trained for a year with the sole purpose of defeating Batman, learning his tactics, skills, arsenal and so on:
Skilled-combatants:
As noted, Bruce was able to defeat Lady Shiva as an initiation trial, before his training was even complete, this in itself is incredible, but there are a number of other highly skilled combatants that Batman has fought. First I will give an overall rundown of the abilities of each character, then describe how they were almost all soundly defeated by Batman.
Deathstroke:
Linked is anon-canonical (as it doesn't fit within the Origins timeline) depiction of a fight between Deathstroke and Batman. While non-canon, I do believe it gives a sound depiction of both characters' extreme technical skill and overall abilities.
Deathstroke is a categorical metahuman and the world's greatest assassin. His skill and speed is such that he has been shown to easily run straight at a group of armed men and demolish them:
Is depicted as being considerably stronger than Batman, tearing off bolted vents with even greater ease:
And is able to easily defeat Tim Drake/Robin with little issue, and subsequently handle both Tim and Dick Grayson/Nightwing, seemingly without distress:
It must be noted that Robin is himself an extremely capable fighter, being able to demolish groups of fodder and defeat Harley Quinn:
Tank kicks to the face from Titan users:
And defeat multiple highly trained LoA Ninjas with contemptuous ease:
While little is seen of Nightwing outside of gameplay mechanics, it is reasonable to assume he is at least as capable as Tim, more than likely being superior due to years more service as a vigilante.
Despite Slade's metahuman stats and impressive skill, he is no match for Batman. Even subdued, surprised and hanging upside down Batman is able to quickly dismantle Deathstroke's attack and disarm him:
Most of the subsequent fight is then shown via gameplay, but it ends with Batman defeating Deathstroke decisively with little injury and continuing to fight for the rest of the night (this occurs early in the story). Batman, even this early in his career, is so astonishing that the world's greatest assassin can barely believe he is human:
Ra's Al Ghul:
Ra's Al Ghul is the leader of the League of Shadows and has nearly six-hundred years of experience in battle, being revered by his followers as a God, so capable that he considers only Bruce Wayne a worthy successor.
Yet Batman is able to defeat him even when Ra's (fresh from the pit) utilised potent illusions of unknown origin:
Ra's proved his skill when, fresh from the pit, he easily fodderised his daughter, Nyssa Al Ghul, the leader of a large faction of the League in a "Shadow War" against her father, yet he still proved no match for Batman, being almost instantly disarmed by the Caped Crusader:
Bane:
Batman fought Bane multiple times over the years, but Bane was by far at his most skilled in Arkham Origins, when he was able to fodderise three wrestlers of equal or greater size than himself:
Yet Batman, after already fighting for hours against the likes of Deathstroke, was able to force him to resort to using Titan to defeat him, yet Bane still couldn't best him:
Harley Quinn:
Harley Quinn is a highly skilled combatant, as shown before, she is able to give Robin trouble as well as having decimated fodder in impressive displays of skill, speed and agility:
Despite this, she is essentially a non-factor to Batman, being utterly fodderised each time they fight:
Part Three: Gear
Batsuit:
Batman's latest batsuit is more mechanised than his earlier suits, this armour provides superior protection. However, the V8.03 is also lightweight and allows Batman to move at incredible speeds. The Batsuit also includes a cape, which can be used for gliding, or as a defence against bullets:
The Batsuit also houses Batman's detective mode which has a variety of uses, whether it's fingerprint scanning, infra-red vision or temperature scanning:
The batsuit has also been shown to include:
Retractable Gauntlets:
Pulse Blasts:
Laser:
Light up Bat Symbol:
Grapnel Gun:
Batarangs:
Batman wields multiple types of Batarangs, including regular Batarangs, with which he has shown great skill, being able to take down up to four armoured individuals simultaneously:
Sonic Batarangs:
In addition, his sonic batarangs have been shown to render even highly trained combatants ineffective and in extreme pain:
Remote Controlled Batarangs:
Explosive Gel:
Batman uses his explosive gel in a variety of ways, whether it's to destroy weak walls:
Or use as a weapon against physically dominant foes:
Pulse Blast:
