If Marshall could smile he would. It was nice to have somebody he could call a friend.
"With that out of the way, let's look for a place to stay. If you don't have enough money at the moment, let me take care of this one. It is the least an older brother can do". Amy had done a lot for him, so Marshall thought it was time to repay the favor. "First we need an ATM machine. Preferably after sunset, yes?"
Marshall nodded to affirm his support for the cover story. He tried to get into character, to get the personality and voice right.
"Hi! I'm Martin Taris and this is my kid sister, Violet. We decided to travel across this great nation of ours and do some sight seeing. Boston is such a historic city and I consider myself quite the history snob". As Marshall was saying this, he was trying to imitate humans a bit more; he attempted to sound like a young human male, but it sounded more like an advertisement from the 1950s. "That sounds good, yes", said Marshall in his regular voice.
Marshall tried his best to put on the glasses, but it was a bit difficult to do without ears or a nose. The sunglasses eventually managed to stay on through the outer-layer of his proto-form 'bonding' with the glasses. Overall the glasses looked very nice and did not restrict Marshall's vision. The mechanical man liked his new look and thought it did a good job of his hiding his identity.
"Thank you very much, Vi. Thank you for all of this", Marshall said as he bowed his head a bit as a sign of appreciation. "I do think we need a sort of cover story, just in case somebody questions us".
