I don't see any reason in complaining about the actor for Jay being young-ish. Unlike Aunt May, who was always old from the start, when Jay got started he was a young man, not the old hero audiences of this generation are familiar with. If he can portray Jay well enough it'll be fantastic.
Jay isn't getting started.
I have no idea how you misunderstood me, so I'll address both. If you think I referred to "started" as in his own show, I was referring to his original comic book in the Golden Age. If you think "started" as in Jay isn't going to be in this show at all, then you should know they casted him for him to appear.

@saintwildcard: People said the same of GotG. And besides, once spoilers come out, people are bound to go, based on what people say about the two post credits scenes. Might just have something big enough to draw people. Besides, this movie is doing something different from the others and is bound to be great on its own.
I'm really looking forward to this. My last issue was the Future's End tie in which served as a good epilogue for Lemire's run. I stuck through the first teams for the book solely because I believed in it and I was not disappointed when we got Lemire and Sorrentino. One of the best teams ever and Sorrentino really earned my respect because I was a little put off at first by his unique art style, but by the second issue I really started to understand the depth of it and it went perfectly with Lemire's tone. The two were so good that once I heard they were leaving I was actually at unease about the next team. Sure, some teams will be better than other, but if they can keep up the quality and continue the story, I'm all for it. But once the previews came out and I saw that not only was Emiko not a part of it - but that they sent her away off screen - I decided to drop the book and end it on a high note. If ever things would start to look more like continuing the story I would come back, and the interviews and the 8 page preview and this make me glad to have Green Arrow back. I don't know if it'll be as good as Lemire and Sorrentino - I mean, come on, it's hard to live up to them - just the fact they are honoring their mythos is a win in my book. I really wish them the best of luck.
