@stahlflamme: Perhaps, but some people can still be friends for decades but continue to have one rift between them that lasts throughout all that time. Who knows? All that can be done is to trust in the team to make a good story and then judge them on whether or not they did. In the end, we'll decide if this story is worth considering being one of the best.
@stahlflamme: Future storylines can be great, though I get why you would worry seeing how comics are and different teams and editorials can change things. The best thing to do is enjoy it is the story is working in that angle. Sure, it might change, but that doesn't mean a future you did enjoy was great.
Each team has to go in with an end in mind no matter what other teams might have done or will do. Grant Morrison asked Scott Snyder how his Batman would end because what matters in the moment is the current team's story. They will craft a tale they feel fits with how they write the character and get to an end point with them.
It's best rather than to think of these futures as the true definitive, that they are what the team envisioned for their story and love or hate it depending on how well they did it for that story. For example, I loved Geoff Johns' ending of his long tenure on Green Lantern and we saw the future he envisioned for it, even though the team after him is now doing their own thing. I still accept that GJ future and end because that was the story I was following and where it was leading to.
Rather than worry about what the future will do I think it best to just sit back and enjoy the current work for what it is, But that's just my opinion.
@captainmarvel4ever:How do you know you won't enjoy it? We haven't even seen any of his dialogue and stuff yet. This is just preview art. Or is that the reason you say you're not enjoying it?
In which case, you can't exactly say you're not enjoying a Jeff Lemire book because even if you don't like the art, the story may still be fantastic. But if it's the solicitation that is making you not enjoy it, then why? A tiny thing like that can be misleading at times and you can't judge a full story based on it. A bad solicitation might be a great story and a great solicitation might be a terrible story.
Why do you think you won't enjoy it? Was it any of what I listed or something else?
its ray palmer's funeral its a flashback six months ago, and six months ago palmer industries had an explosion and there's a sign star city rename in memory of dr. ray palmer
Uh, it said six months later. It's a flashforward. Heck, Barry and Ollie even talked about Zoom, which was not happening at all six months ago - Barry just learned that name in the present day.
