I immensely enjoyed the first episode. It was fun and it sets the stakes right from the start. I just wish they had aired this as a two hour premiere; I want to see more!
I think the thing that disappoints me the most out of all of this is from what I can tell they erased Miles' 1610 history along with the rest of the 1610 Universe...it's gone...Peter, MJ, Gwen, Aunt May all gone like it never happened to the characters at all....Ultimate Peter was brought back to live his life just to be erased a few days later...he deserved better
While the fates of such characters are still unknown, if Bendis is to be believed, he claims that Miles' history still happened even with Miles changing universes.
I can't wait for this to come out! Miles is awesome and has some really great supporting characters. Plus, he should take over as the lead in the Ultimate Spider-Man tv series. Please.
I really enjoyed Linkara's reviews of the Marvel series and am disappointed they don't even have the rights to republish them; I really want to read them, they sound awesome! For now, I am definitely excited to read this new series and have high hopes.
Until They explain how foster became thor girl, how odin wasn't able to pick up a hammer he created, and how thor suddenly became unworthy, I will not read thor girl books. The writer is playing us like we are stupid.
hypothetical analogy..... It is the equivalent of: if the miles morales spider-man origin story did not tell us how peter died, how miles got his powers, and why didn't he use them earlier. He just appeared one day and was the new spiderman(THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED TO THOR)
Um, you may not intend to sound like it, or maybe you do, I don't know, I can't read your mind, but your comments sound very sexist. And also an oxymoron. So, until they explain how all that happened, you won't read them? However, when those are explained it will be in the Thor book. Oxymoron.
@the_stegman: Gah, can't read this until next week, probably shouldn't be reading the review and comics, oh well, but what did you dislike about her in this one? Is she so dramatically from how Wilson writes her?
It's less about how she's written and more that she's on the team at all. I know that there have been newbies on the Avengers before, but most have been heroes for some time or had training prior, she's been a hero for what? six months? And she's on the premiere team? I know she's popular, but geez. If I get powers and go beat up people in my neighborhood this Christmas, can I join??
Uh, you do realize eight months have passed since Secret Wars, yes? And that she has been a superhero for several months before that, while receiving training from the likes of Medusa, worked alongside other heroes like Logan, Spider-Man, Captain Marvel, and more. So, she has been a superhero for over a year at least, probably closer to two. So, there really is no validation to the complaint of her not having enough experience time wise when she does.
Y'know who was the original Space Knight? ROM. What ever happened to him?
If you want the full story, go to AT4W and check out Linkara's reviews of the series. They are awesome, funny, and explain all we need to know about what happened to him.
This is why Damian is awesome. He may come off as jerkish, but he has a good heart and continually tries to better himself. I mean, a lot of people may have killed those clones or at least released them to the wild, wanting to never see them again, but Damian not only goes back to see them, he calls them family.
