Cant Sundipped Supes create his own universes? Also, couldnt supes just freeze hulk and throw him into a black hole?

I'm just getting into comics and Ive been reading the battles posts. I cant wait until people start replying to this!!

I am new to comics and I just read The Dark Knight Returns. I am reading Batman Year One right now. I was wondering where I go from here? I am going to start with Batman then get further into the DC Universe. I'd like to start with a few of the graphic novels just to get into it then start with the weekly series. Would I be able to go to the local comic shop and buy the latest Batman? Or would I have to go and buy the first books to the series? From what I saw there are a few Batman series going on now, any recommendations on where to start? I have a bunch of old comics from when I was a kid but I never really collected so they arent series, just random books. Thanks in advance.
