  • A master scientist and the right-hand man of Mongul, The Key, unknown to Mongul, injects himself with "Psycho-Chemicals" which greatly enhance his agility and intellect but also takes a bit of his sanity. The Key is the games-master in Warworld and chooses who battles who in the Arena. The Key desires nothing more than the power he holds over the warriors and delights in the torture he puts them through.

  • Shiera Hall is the reincarnation of the Egyptian princess, Chay-Ara who was actually a hawk-person from Thanagar. Shiera and her husband, Carter were both heralded as gods for their use of Nth Metal. Shiera has died many times alongside Carter and the two are cursed to never share a love-filled life together. Shiera and Carter aid the League as the Hawks in overthrowing Mongul.

  • Carter Hall is the reincarnation of the Egyptian Prince, Khufu who was in fact a hawk-person from the planet Thanagar. Khufu was heralded as a god for his Nth Metal which could negate the effects of gravity and allowed him to fly. Carter and his wife Shiera have dead many times, all when their love for each other was greater. The two adopted the identities of the Hawks {Bearing Armour and wings} and protected Earth from threats. Thousands of years ago, when Mongul first came to Earth, Carter and Shiera won the freedom of Earth but had to fight for Mongul ever since as gladiators. Upon the arrival of the Justice League on Warworld, Carter and Shiera see their chance to overthrow Mongul and the two ally themselves with the League to destroy Mongul's Warworld and set free the imprisoned.

  • Kara joins the Justice League onto Warworld where she gains a fierce rivalry with Reign, culminating in a gladiatorial battle between the two. Despite being offered a place as a full-time member for the Justice League, Kara declines but becomes a reserve member instead - Wanting to mature herself by taking on threats alone.

  • After being unable to answer questions about his past {With Aquaman being especially persistent as he mistrusted J'onn}, the League had to drop J'onn from the team which resulted in a fist-fight between him and Aquaman. Following Lobo to Warworld, J'onn finds himself unable to stand by whilst his teammates are forced to fight each other. Knocking out Massacre and posing as him in order to get close to the League, J'onn fights with his allies to liberate Warworld. Despite befriending Hal Jordan once again, Aquaman still shuns J'onn and he leaves on bad terms.

  • Reign was originally from the planet Krypton but was kidnapped by The Key and brought to Warworld. There, The Key experimented on her attempting to make her the perfect gladiator. Reign became Warworld's chief gladiator but despises her "Father", the Key, and plans to kill him.

  • Mongul's personal bounty hunter, the crazed Lobo is feared throughout the universe - Even by Mongul himself. Sent to kidnap the members of the Justice League, Lobo has a tough task but manages to send each member to Warworld. Followed by the Martian Manhunter, Lobo secretly lets J'onn onboard the "planet" as he believes he'll provide an entertaining fight. When Warworld's revolution takes place, Lobo goes on a killing spree - Killing members of both sides but just delighting in the violence.

  • Draaga is Reign's rival as chief gladiator. When Superman defeats Draaga but refuses to kill him, Draaga develops a strong form of respect for Superman and he eventually becomes the new appointed leader of Warworld by the A.I. of the planet.

  • The son of Mongul the elder, Mongul idolises his father and desires to inherit Warworld for himself - Hoping to hold the power his father possesses.

  • The daughter of Mongul the elder, Mongal and her brother never get along even on the best of days - Often pitting their favourite gladiators against each other.

  • One of Mongul's top gladiators, Scorn desires to be free from this life and aids the League in taking on Mongul.

  • An alien mass murderer who enjoys the thrill of the hunt, Massacre now lives as one of Mongul's top gladiators.

  • Once a freedom fighter from the Vega System, Broot became a slave and gladiator for Mongul in order to save his system. A pacifist at heart, Broot is forced to use his immense strength for the entertainment of Mongul.

  • Mongul's other bounty hunter, Bolphunga despises Lobo due to his favour with Mongul. When he learns that Lobo let J'onn arrive, Bolphunga goes on a mission to track down the Martian and kill him. Later finding J'onzz, Bolphunga is killed by Lobo in order to settle their feud - Thus saving the Martian.

  • Alfred is growing concerned of Bruce's sudden interest in whether his teammates and friends could go rogue.
