Superman III : The Last City (DCCU)

The Justice League are down. This time it's Superman on his own against possibly the greatest threat yet to face Earth. However this new danger also brings with it great hope for restoring the now dead Planet for Krypton - As a forgotten face of Kal-El's past lands on Earth...

  • Credits Scene: The Eradicator forms the ice around itself as a great fortress rises in the Arctic around it...
  • Deaths: Brainiac {Killed by Supergirl} : Morgan Edge {Jumped out a window whilst taking a Brainiac Drone with him} : Mary Schott {Crushed by rubble} : Koko {Killed by the impact of Brainiac's skull ship crashing in the Arctic}

  • Superman believed himself to be the only surviving Kryptonian, but a new danger also brings with it great hope for restoring Krypton. However, Kal-El will not have the aid of the Justice League in the fight against this great threat as each member has been individually "preserved" for Brainiac's collection.

  • Brainiac is a techno-organic being from the planet Colu with an immense level of intelligence and the ability to transfer his intelligence into both organic and technological bodies. Brainiac views all life-forms as inferior to him, and is loyal to none. Brainiac believes that the only way to preserve the universe is by "Collecting" then on board his vast skull-ship. Foreseeing the destruction of Krypton, Brainiac travelled there and shrunk the city of Kandor, preserving it for his collection. After years of being under Brainiac's surveillance, one Kryptonian managed to escape and travel to Earth. Brainiac now travels to Earth, hoping to gain back the Kryptonian and take Earth for his collection.

  • Kara Zor-El is the cousin of Kal-El who lived in Kandor city with her parents. Shortly before Krypton's destruction, Kandor was attacked by Brainiac and shrunk. After years of being imprisoned by Brainiac, Kara managed to escape by being aided by the other Kryptonians. Kara travelled to the nearest inhabited-planet, Earth. There, she eventually met her cousin Kal-El who she told of the oncoming danger of Brainiac. Kal trained Kara how to use her powers, and she aids him against Brainiac as Supergirl.

  • Lois is at first very inquisitive towards Kara as she seeks to get as much information as she can out of her. Lois fends off against 3 Brainiac drones with the Planet staff and is forced to watch her mother die due to the ignorance of a Kryptonian from the bottled city.

  • Jimmy fends off 3 Brainiac drones with the rest of the Planet's staff as his life is saved by Morgan Edge - Sacrificing himself whilst taking out a drone.

  • Kara's father and brother of Jor-El, Zor-El was trapped in the bottle city of Kandor with his daughter and wife. The years inside the trapped city have started to take a toll on Zor-El's mind, although he hides it from his family.

  • Kara's mother and wife of Zor-El, Alura was trapped in Kandor with her husband and daughter.

  • Called back into Metropolis to deal with Brainiac's attack, Corben initially tries to settle his feud with Superman and attacks him. However, Corben is eventually convinced by Superman to put aside his hatred for the time being to help against Brainiac - Although he only agrees when Kara threatens his life.

  • Leading the army into Metropolis, General Lane gives the order to attack both the Kryptonians and the drones - Desiring to kill two birds with one stone. When he witnesses his wife's death due to one Kryptonian's incompetence, Lane orders the soldiers under his command to kill any Kryptonian they see.

  • Lucy has returned to Metropolis with her father to help against Brainiac's attack. Rekindling her love affair with Ron Troupe, Lucy begins to question her father. However when she witnesses her mother being crushed by a building during a fight between a Kryptonian and a Brainiac drone, Lucy's hatred of Kryptonians starts to rival her father's.

  • Emil Hamilton is incredibly fascinated with Brainiac as he desires to somehow transfer the alien's intelligence into a secret cloning project ran by Project CADMUS. Hamilton however is still loyal to Superman and attempts to help him in his efforts in defeating Brainiac by finding a way of destroying some of his drones.

  • Trapped with Dan Turpin in the Metropolis Police Precinct, Sawyer has to face it alone against several of Brainiac's drones.

  • Perry tries his best to avoid General Lane after originally getting off on bad footing due to Lois admitting Perry was a better father than her own. Later, Perry shows his true tough colours when he takes on 3 Brainiac drones with the rest of the Planet's staff.

  • Brainiac's attack on Metropolis brings out the even tougher side of Turpin as he fights to protect his loved ones - Even managing to single-handedly destroy three of Brainiac's drones.

  • A commander in the Kryptonian military under General Zod, Fer-Gor evacuated many civilians but was one of 600 soldiers who were trapped in the bottle city.

  • When Lucy Lane comes back to Metropolis, Ron restarts their love affair. Trying to dial down Lucy's anger, Ron is successful until the death of her mother starts it up again. Calling a "truce" with Steve Lombard, Ron fends off against a Brainiac Drone with the rest of the Daily Planet staff

  • Learning of Brainiac's coming from his "superior" Bruno Mannheim gives the order to move Intergang's operations out of Metropolis for the time being. However, Mannheim faces unseen complications in the form of Morgan Edge.

  • Steve faces off against 3 Brainiac drones along with the rest of the Daily Planet staff, with him and Ron Troupe calling a "truce" to their endless bickering.

  • Schott and his wife Mary have been running their store single-handedly due to their assistant John Nimball taking a previously unmentioned job interview in Maine. When Brainiac attacks Metropolis, Winslow tries desperately to save his wife after she is caught under rubble but his attempts are ultimately in vain.

  • An ancient artefact from Krypton, the Eradicator was originally used as a weapon to preserve the "purity" of Krypton. Later recovered from Brainiac's ship in the Arctic, the device alters the ice - Forming a vast fortress.

  • Roped into dirty dealings with Intergang, Morgan Edge has never been a fan of their brutal methods or ideas. When he is given the order to leave Metropolis immediately, Edge instead defies Mannheim and decides to stay with the Daily Planet despite the threat of Brainiac. Angered at his betrayal, Mannheim promises to kill Edge himself if he is not dead already by the time he comes back. However, Mannheim finds out he doesn't need to as Edge is killed when saving Jimmy Olsen's life.

  • The wife of Winslow Schott, Mary is killed during Brainiac's attack on Metropolis despite her husband's best attempts to save her.

  • Martha welcomes Kara with open arms and takes her in - Giving her the name Kara Kent.

  • Krypto is initially suspicious of Kara, and seeks to protect Kal from any harm.

  • Absorbing the energy from a member of Intergang - The Parasite learns of Brainiac's oncoming attack and decides to skip town until the "Big Blue sorts things out".

  • From his cell in Stryker's Island, Luthor watches Brainiac's attack on Metropolis. One day desiring to aid himself with the alien, Luthor really desires to capture Brainiac and perform genetic experiments on him in order to test the true capabilities of his intelligence.

  • Once a small, white alien monkey - Koko was experimented on by Brainiac and is now a large, ferocious beast.

  • Dru-Zod was a high-ranking general in the Kryptonian military who tried desperately to save the people of Kandor.

  • General Zod's chief lieutenant & suspected lover.
