  • A part of the "Flying Graysons" with his parents, Dick Grayson was a highly skilled trapeze artist and acrobat. After his parents fall to their deaths, Bruce Wayne {A patron of the circus} takes Dick in as his ward. Dick soon deduces that Bruce is Batman and asks Bruce that he be trained to become his partner and serve out the justice for his parents and others like him. After realising Dick's great training in acrobatics, Bruce puts him through extensive training. After completing the training, Dick becomes the Batman's new crime-fighting partner - Robin. But will the deadly Scarecrow be too much for the young Robin to handle...

  • Dr. Kirk Langstrom is one of the 3 new heads of the newly re-opened Arkham Asylum and was an aspiring geneticist who was developing a serum which would cure his deafness. At Gotham University, he met Hugo Strange a genius psychologist who had radical ideas and theories about genetic manipulation. Strange strived to obtain genetic perfection and worked with Kirk to improve his serum which would hopefully cure his deafness. At Gotham University, the pair also met Jonathan Crane who occasionally helped them in their research but was more interested with his own experiments on fear. Upon them re-opening the Asylum, Kirk was gentle and caring towards his patients, but was eventually drugged by Crane. Jonathan experimented on him and injected him with his own serum {Which Hugo Strange had tampered with and Crane had inserted Bat DNA into as Kirk feared Bats}. Kirk became the Man-Bat and was set loose on Gotham to stir up fear amongst the population...

  • Professor Hugo Strange is one of the 3 new heads of Arkham and is a genius psychologist who has radical {And highly controversial} theories about genetic manipulation and strives for genetic perfection for the Human race. Strange met Kirk Langstrom and the pair spent many years together trying to create a serum which would cure Kirk of his deafness. Strange has been working on a serum for many years, which he hopes will enhance a person's genes and create the perfect human specimen, which he dubs "Venom". A mysterious bidder from the remote island of Santa Prisca has shown interest in his serum and has ordered that he deliver the serum to him in person. However, the Batman has grown especially suspicious of Strange and has begun investigating Strange's actions. Hugo has also tampered with Kirk's own serum by inserting some of his venom serum into it. The appearances of the Batman and his interventions with Hugo have led him to study the mind of Batman and find out the man behind the cowl but Batman cracks on to what exactly Strange is planning, and he has to flee in a private plane to Santa Prisca with his "Venom" serum...

  • Alfred helps Bruce train Dick, although he is worried about how Dick will fare against Gotham despite being relieved that Master Bruce is willing to work with others...

  • Waylon Jones was born with a genetic mutation which resulted in scale-like skin and razor-sharp claws and teeth. Living with his neglectful aunt, he attempted to scrub the scales off but it caused him immense pain. Waylon was relentlessly bullied as a child and even physically abused by his aunt. However, Waylon was friends with a one-armed police officer called Hoolihan who saw great promise in Waylon and would help him build his self-confidence. Waylon later went on to wrestle crocodiles for Haley's Circus {Where he befriended the Graysons} as The Killer Croc but this career path provided no joy to him and he was severely underpaid and mistreated, resulting in him biting the arm of off the circus' owner. During the period, Waylon developed a more reptilian look but still his mutation was not finished. Croc then became a thug for Penguin but lands in Arkham where Kirk Langstrom studies the fractured psyche of the monster inside Waylon...

She fell in love with Roman Sionis who had recently been committed to Arkham. Crane later experimented on her which left her scarred and even more deranged, before leaving her to die. She somehow managed to survive and is now missing alongside the Black Mask...

  • The Penguin's chief lieutenant, Ignatius was one of few who had gained Penguin's trust. Ogilvy has planned to take Penguin's empire for himself but was found out. Sent to Crane as a test subject for punishment, Penguin expected Ogilvy to die within a few days. However, Hugo Strange swapped one of Crane's fear toxins for his experimental "Venom" serum & Ogilvy is transformed into a powerful blue-skinned monster of a man. Setting out to kill the Penguin, Ogilvy is apprehended by the Batman...

  • Found lying in the rubble of his lab by Hugo Strange, Fries can only survive in sub-zero temperatures. Taken to Arkham, Fries designs himself a special containment suit in order for him to survive. Believing Strange to have ceased his connections to the Court of Owls, Fries plans to design a freeze gun & take on the rest of the Court to get his wife back with the aid of Strange. However, Fries learns that noone leaves the Court as Strange experiments on him for the Owls. When Strange flees to Santa Prisca, Fries is left for dead in the Asylum but is discovered by the Batman who promises him his wife back...
