Well, with how this month has gone, I think some of you can understand the lateness of this, but now story fourteen of the Cale Storyline, Iron X, is up on Comic Vine. This particular story was another milestone for me, for a few reasons.

First off, Iron X was the first collaboration I had done with fellow Generation X fan, Richard 'Kuguro' Palmer. He had a series going on at the time called The Wild Ones. The main characters of the series, other than Generation X, were a cat girl known as Balam, a mutant with the power of resurrection named Sequel, and a villain known as Canon. We had gotten to know each other through AOL Instant Messenger, which led to cowriting this story. Scenes where his characters were the focal point he wrote, and where my characters were the focal point of the reader, I wrote. Dialogue between the characters were figured out when we spoke online.

Next, this story featured a few real life personalities, although the story never showed things from their point of view. This was because part of the plot of the story involved the Japanese show, Iron Chef. An American chef had earned their attention because of his swift mastery of other forms of cuisine. Thus, the story plot point is that the chef is going to compete in a special battle, pitting him against all the Iron Chefs, and Richard is acting as his sponsor/representative. To pull this off, I had to get a copy of the legendary Iron Chef battle that had Morimoto against Bobby Flay in New York to my co-writer.

On a down note, this was the first story that didn't get posted up on Kindred Spirits, and actually led to my initial posting of this story on FanFiction.net. After that, I put all my works up on that site, taking them down individually and then placing them in a massive story. Of course, the story is now chaptered out, and showing up here on Comic Vine.
