Sasuke: Rinnegan or Rinne Sharingan?

One great mystery in Naruto is why only Sasuke's "Rinnegan" has tomoe. According to Naruto Wiki, Sasuke's eye is a Rinnegan, not a Rinne Sharingan. However, in the Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Naruto Shippuden game, Sasukes rinnegan form was titled as Sasuke (Rinne Sharingan).
To resolve this confusion, let's look at all 4 possible variations of the eye.
- Red without Tomoe
- Purple without Tomoe
- Red with Tomoe
- Purple with Tomoe
At the start of Naruto Opening 16, Madara was seen with red Rinnegan. Momoshiki's original form also had a red Rinnegan. Red is thus not indication of the eye being a Rinne Sharingan, and that colour is irrelevant to what eye Sasuke has.
Madara seen with purple Rinnegan at the end of the opening. After absorbing Kinshiki, Momoshiki also had purple Rinnegan. Purple may thus indicate a matured Rinnegan, since we know that Rinnegan does take time to take its full form. Madara had Six Paths chakra for quite a while, but only managed to awaken Rinnegan right before his death. Even Hagoromo himself took a while to awaken it after his Sharingan awakening.
The number of Tomoe is also not an indication of the eye being Rinne Sharingan. After being released from the demonic statue, the depowered Ten Tails also only had 6 Tomoe, while Madara after absorbing the God Tree had 9 Tomoe in his Rinne Sharingan.
As stated by Sasuke, the more he uses his Rinnegan, the better he is at it. It is only until adulthood when he can also open portals to alternate dimensions, similar to the feat of Kaguya. However, he loses the Tomoe and his Rinne Sharingan abilities when he uses too much chakra.
