The Birth of a Monarch

Millions of light years away from Earth a planet dies. The planet, Cha'vak(Meaning First World in English) once a shining world full of life housing one of the most intelligent species in the universe. This superior intelligence proved to be the very thing that led to their doom. A scientist Cha'var No'vat engineered an entirely new species in a genetics lab. He made this species symbiotic in nature, requiring a living host to sustain itself. It was the scientists thought that this species could help his people increase their potential, and they did boosting the natives strength and intellect exponentially. Alas like every young species in the history of the universe these symbiotes aspired to greater things, seeing others as hindrances, as a result the planet of Cha'vak saw its first war in three billion years. As a species the Cha'vi had evolved so that no conflicts occurred, all the were able to talk peaceably about all things and live in a utopian way.

When the first death occurred it was to late to go back, Billions had symbiotes, half the planet. The hosts were no longer to live without their 'partners' Cha'var would later discover that the creatures release a toxin which exhibits addictive effects and ensures the host will not abandon the symbiote. This unintended trait was developed as a way for the creatures guard themselves against extermination, a part of their survival instinct. After months of looking for a solution and the body count entering the millions the remaining Cha'vi(First People) without symbiotes evacuated the planet, in an effort to exterminate these parasites the Cha'vi sent one of their reactor's into the planets sun causing it to go supernova. The explosion destroyed Cha'vak and all of the infected Cha'vi.

Pieces of the Cha'vak were thrown into all directs, meteors destined to soar endlessly through space or impact some unsuspecting planet. A single fragment of Cha'vak found its way to Earth impacting a park somewhere in California. The jarring impact stirred the creature hibernating within the crevices of the rock. It oozed out now taking the shape of one of the smaller species on Cha'vak long and cylinder like a snake of Earth. The parasite slither up out of the indent the meteor had left. High above there was a large star burning bright, this world had a sun as well, though it looked much younger then the red sun of Cha'vak.

Pain shot through the symbiote it had been without a host for far too long, its hibernation was the only thing that save it from the planets destruction and aloud it to survive until it reached a new planet, found a new host. You see this was not just any parasite it was THE parasite, the first, its host was Cha'var No'vat its creator. Their time together gave the symbiote a means to survive Cha'vak's destruction. It was most likely the last of its kind and it needed to find a new host quickly or everything it had endured would have been for nothing.

Not far from the crash site the symbiote came upon a strange being with large elegant orange wings. As the parasite watched the creature swooped down and latched onto some type of plant life it seemed to drain the plant then move onto the next. Without hesitating the parasite struck, latching onto the being as it struggle and tried in vein to escape. As their two consciousnesses merged the parasite drank in the things memories. It had lived for three seasons, beginning as a Earth crawler and after hibernating it became an air shaper, soaring through the sky. This would be the first season it would migrate south for the winter and winter was fast approaching, even now it was preparing, gathering nectar. It's host told the parasite very little of this planet other then glimpses of sentient possibly intelligent life.

The creatures mind was weak compared to the brilliance of Cha'var the symbiote will not submit to this being will as it had to the will of its creator, even going so far as to release Cha'var before the end so that he could escape the planet. No the parasite had its host it could survive indefinitely but it would be the one in control. Taking to the air the monarch butterfly glowed with a radiance that told the world it was not what it seemed.
