@w4nkdestroyer: Sidious smiles and laughs more than once, then feigns being tired to bait Maul into attacking him without Savage (something Maul wouldnt be stupid enough to do without being baited) So yes, Sidious was in control of the entire fight.
Rebels Vader can take rounds against Sidious, but those rounds also leave him permanently disabled most likely. Even if you get a character like SoD Maul on his team, its not really going to change the fact that Rebels Vader and SoD Maul would be in an incredibly difficult fight against Sidious, so its a High Diff fight.
Jinn is definitely a weak link here, but, IMO, Hes not SO weak a link as to where he gets fodderized by SoD Maul or Vader. First, I dont think that SoD Maul is >> TPM Maul. Definitely stronger, but its not so massive a difference that Jinn gets completely slaughtered. Also, Vader is a slow and methodical fighter, so Jinn isnt going down quickly to him, either. Jinn is competent enough that even stalling for 30 seconds to a minute COULD be enough for Sidious to kill or incap his opponent.
My argument is that the Mandalore duo had absolutely no chance against Sidious at all, and that even if you replace Savage with an appropriately competent fighter, that doesnt mean its a stomp for the duo. They probably win, but they are in a fight for their lives against an opponent who, if luck decides, could kill them at any moment.
