Tough call.

We don't really know much about All Might in his prime other than he was 60x stronger than when he fought Noumu.

Judging All Might from when we see him in the series, Meruem outclasses him in speed and, arguably durability, but All Might clearly throws harder punches.

Meruem had a hard time getting through Netero's prayers, and Netero could throw a thousand of them a minute while All Might could only throw 300 blows in a minute in the show.

Judging from what he says about his prime, we could say that Prime All Might could throw 18,000 hits a minute or 300 a second which would make him much faster than Meruem.

I don't really like doing this much guessing when it comes to fights so I will conclude my thoughts with All Might from the show and then expand on possibilities for Prime All Might.

Meruem is faster than All Might. This is a given since All Might can only throw 300 blows a minute and Meruem was almost outclassing Netero who could hit 3 times as fast.

All Might is stronger than Meruem. All Might has far better strength feats than Meruem has ever displayed. Even without being in his Prime, All Might is throwing blows that change the weather, create shock waves, destroy city blocks, etc. Even Uvogin, who focused virtually entirely on his strength, couldn't pack the punches All Might throws around.

Now durability is tricky. I think we can all agree All Might is far more durable than Netero. He takes hits from massive power houses and comes back for more. However, Meruem essentially needed a Nuke in order to finally slow him down. Everything Netero threw at Meruem, over the entire fight, barely slowed Meruem down for a moment. He also barely felt any pain when it came to being hit by Netero's prayers. I think Meruem takes durability because he has better feat showings and All Might basically spits up blood randomly as he moves.

Conclusion: Meruem would likely defeat the All Might we saw in the show. He is smart in battle, composed, and fast enough/durable enough to give him some time to figure All Might out. That being said....... it would be a much harder fight for Meruem than his fight with Netero was. All Might won't be standing around waiting to be attacked and he will hit MUCH harder than Netero did. All Might will likely earn far more respect from Meruem given All Might is not only strong but he embodies Meruem's new ideals of using strength to protect the weak.

However, Meruem stands as champion against show All Might.

That being said.......... I think there is more than enough reason to make an argument that All Might in his prime could stand a solid chance of beating Pre-Rose Meruem in a fight. If he really is 60x stronger than he is in the show, which I point to as he said in his prime it would only have taken 5 blows to beat Noumu, then I would wager that the victory would go to Prime All Might

@k4tzm4n: The OP didn't state any versions, which usually means current versions, but as the current version of All Might can only hold his form for a second and is technically dying; I just discussed them fighting at their peak in their respective Anime's.

@thewatcherking: There are shockwaves in those images. The first one of Superman punching, though they are mixed in with random gold coloring for some reason and Wonder Woman rushing to him is also creating shock waves.

Additionally, look at the debris everywhere. Do you have a panel where Doomsday gently pushed that car over? No. Because their fight itself is causing debris because of the impact of their attacks.

Although, since I am a fan of Gif's and a fan of Superman, I will use this opportunity to show how awesome Superman is as well :D

@chaos239: So all I have to do to prove you wrong is answer one question, point out how you made something up, and show that you are deceitful? Awesome.

Question: "Find me a bomb that can replicate Genos's feat (spoiler, there are none)"

The Feat being destroy a building and the mountainside behind it? Challenge Accepted!

The type of bomb that could easily do exactly that is: The W-53. Not only would it destroy that building and the mountain behind it, but it would destroy miles beyond it.

Now I know what you will say "The Mountain is too thick and goes more than a few miles". Which brings us to the next point.

"Don't downplay, the feat is impressive because he blasted through kilometres of rock that was miles away casually."

Prove that. Show me an image of how far back that mountain goes behind the house of evolution. The only image we see of Genos is one where he destroyed the HoE and the mountain behind it. While impressive, you through out some concrete numbers in terms of distance.

Allow me to set you up :)

First we see where Genos was facing when he attacked the HoE and where the Mountain was behind it and to what degree.

No Caption Provided

From what we can see the entire mountain is not behind the building, rather the side of the mountain.

However, we need to see how powerful Genos' attack was in order to calculate damage.

No Caption Provided

Woah, that is totally impressive. However, is he really a mountain buster? I mean he definitely destroyed the side of the Mountain but did he destroy all of it? I went to the site to investigate.

No Caption Provided

Well we can clearly see he only destroyed the side of the mountain, so not a Mountain Buster, and judging from the side of the mountain he failed to destroy; we can calculate distance. Thankfully, the photo contains two humans we can use for scale, and can calculate the distance as being a little more than two football fields in length.

This means his destructive blast went .17 miles.

Now you also claim, ludicrously, that Genos destroyed the top of the Mountain in the distance. The reason this is ludicrous is because you don't know what that distant mountain top looked like before the blast and you base it entirely off the fact that we know the beam got that far because of smoke.

The thing is you know what else is everywhere? Trees. You know what catches fire? Trees. So what happened when Genos' fire attack reached the trees in the distance? The caught fire.

So we can rule your statement of Genos's ability as being overstated. Once again the plague of fanboyism has cost us another mind!

Lastly, you show images of Genos' incredible power. Now since my entire context is All Might and Genos at their best in the Anime's; I am curious why you didn't show those images from the anime.

Could it be that those images do not come from the anime?

Could it be you went to the manga to find images because your fanboy mind could not find anime images to best express your arguments?

And that is check mate on my part.

I will leave you with the last word since, if you have to go out of the context of our discussion to try to "win", then it is clear you have tacitly admitted I am correct.

I wish you well in your future endeavors :D

@thewatcherking: "There is no contradiction, you simply can't comprehend the obvious. Toshinori Yagi is no longer all might currently, so if the OP says All Might then we go by his feats from when he was all might."

So we go with the last time he was All Might, meaning when he fought All For One, meaning when he was literally at his weakest possible?

Really doing better work than I, when it comes to proving yourself wrong.

"Yes, I am totally the biased one, and you (the one with an all might avatar) are the one being completely neutral. Thank you for showing me the light."

You are the only one biased here. I changed my pictures, literally for this discussion, because I thought it went better with the initial joke of my comment. Have no fear...... I AM HERE!

Granted, the joke may have gone over your head, but I enjoyed it which is what matters most ;)

"Well then I see no reason to address anything past this, we always go by the version of the character that's in the most canon material(in this case manga) unless the OP says otherwise."

You contradict yourself again. The OP didn't state versions, but you come out saying we cannot use the current version of All Might because he isn't even currently All Might. Therefore, we cannot be using current versions. Except you want to use the current version of Genos because he is strong, but you don't want to use Prime All Might because he is too strong.

So, at this point, you just want whatever you want and screw everyone else.

However, as with every broken clock, you are right in your original statement though you fail to live up the the principle. Without direct OP statement you do defer to the current versions of the character. In this case however, unless we just want a spite thread, that is impossible. As such I made very clear which exact versions of the characters I was using in my hypothetical. While fanboys pick/choose based on works out best for them, a true hero will always be consistent!!!!

;)

"Again, stupid. Superman has destroyed moons and created no shockwave, so I guess All Might can throw stronger punches right?"

And this is where I stop replying to you. I cannot be the one to teach you about physics nor do I feel comfortable mocking you for being upset at the lack of shock-waves on the moon.

You can have the last word in our discussion, as your emotional state needs it far more than I.

I wish you well in your future endeavors!!! :D

@k4tzm4n: Question: Do you factor in that All Might is the smarter fighter and, as stated by OP, has no time limit? I only ask because that was what caused me to go with All Might over Deep Sea King arc Genos.

Stealing your profile pic btw :p

@chaos239: "Let me put this in perspective, we have bombs that can level cities, but can't put a dent into a mountain."

This is factually absurd. Tell me the bomb that can destroy a city and I know, as a 100% fact, I can find a mountain on earth it could blast away.

The issue you have, is because you hear words like City and Mountain; and think they mean a specific thing.

They do not.

Mountain covers a wide spectrum of land masses that are higher than the general elevation of a given region. Similarly city, has an expansive meaning with regards to contexts. There are cities that would be leveled by earthquakes if they occurred there and others that would stand far more unscathed during to architecture.

So, give me the bomb that would level New York City and allow me to demonstrate your ignorance by pointing out how it would easily destroy Mount Wycheproof

I will wait. Spoiler Warning: (There isn't 1 bomb that could destroy New York City but plenty that could destroy Mount Wycheproof)

"We can see the mountain behind it's size, meaning Genos' blast went thought the HoE base, tons of rock and then incinerated through a mountain ways away."

False. We see the HoE and we see a piece of the mountain behind it, but we don't see it's range. The Mountain being HoE could have gone as far as 1,000 miles or it could have gone a few feet. If you have evidence to the contrary, please show it, but all I see we know for certain is that directly behind HoE is a thick mountainside of indeterminate expanse.

"Considering how Genos had 1 arm for most of the fight, was right next to the entire cities population and was concerned about damage then yes, I think so."

For a Genos fan, you know nothing about the character. He has the ability to scan the population of a city, which we know he did on his way to fight the Sea King, and thus would have known that the city was abandoned. As such, from his character, we know he would have attacked with his most powerful blast which, not only blasted into the city itself, but he was confident it outright destroyed the Sea King. Yet even with this best attack he could muster in a quick fight, he wasn't able to defeat the Sea King in his weakest form. The end result being a weakened Sea King was able to rip off his arm. All Might would have absolutely no trouble doing the same thing (based off what we know about his strength).

"That.Is.Not.Even.Close."

You're right. It shows just how weak Genos is by comparison.

"In the same way Genos did? No, he could use everything he has and he couldn't."

Thank you for confirming this. For future reference, this is called a bait question. It is a way of having someone reveal their prejudices in a conversation. You say All Might can't destroy a building with a punch and the part of the mountain behind it; not matter how hard he punched? The first half is already absurd and, since you can't quantify the scope of the mountain range behind it, to claim definitely it's impossible is simply a tacit admission of your being a fanboy.

Thank you for that.

@thewatcherking: "Ugh, why are you making all your post so long." Because you are incapable of paraphrasing your points.

"So what? The OP didn't say we go by Genos' feats from when he fought Sea King, meaning we go by how he is currently. Obviously the OP wanted this to be while All Might has his power, otherwise he wouldn't really be all might and there would be no fight." you do realize you contradicted yourself here, correct?

At first: The OP didn't say we go by Genos' feats from when he fought Sea King, meaning we go by how he is currently.

A few moments later......

And then: Obviously the OP wanted this to be while All Might has his power, otherwise he wouldn't really be all might and there would be no fight.

The OP didn't state anything with regards to versions. So which is it? Do we use current versions? Prime versions? Or is it whichever version gives Genos the edge? I know where you cast your vote ;)

With regards to me, because the OP was vague about versions but using current versions makes the fight just a spite thread, I decided to use best versions during their Anime's.

"We have no idea how much stronger he was, and it is just baseless to think it was that much, we go by the feats all might shown while he was still all might, and we go by all of the feats Genos has."

We actually do. It took 300 punches to take Nomu down, whereas in his prime he stated he could do it in 5 punches. Simple math leads us to the fact that All Might was 60x stronger in his prime. This is why I knew not to use prime versions because, fanboys, are hard enough to argue with using readily available facts. Didn't want to cause any more temper tantrums by bringing mathematics into the situation. Hence, why I went with their Anime Versions.

"That's so stupid, him taking hits that don't produce shockwaves doesn't mean All Might hits harder. Superman doesn't always create shockwaves when he fights people, is he weaker than All Might too?"

No, it simply means he is throwing weaker punches. Look at Superman when he fights someone like Doomsday and then look at the city around him. You scale your strength based on who your fighting and how hard you want to hit. Saitama is a good example of this. Sometimes he leaves people knocked out, other times he annihilates them.

However, the point I was making, was in both shows we see both All Might and Genos going all out against enemies. All Might vs Nomu and Genos vs Deep Sea King.

All Might going all out produces shockwaves from his punches that blast people away.

Genos does not.

So comparing the two, based on strength, All Might bulldozes him.

"No it isn't, All Might isn't capable of ripping apart Genos like you say he is."

People far weaker than All Might, and with little effort, have been shown capable of ripping Genos Apart.

"He isn't slower than All Might, and that is a feat for Sea King, not an anti feat for Genos."

It wasn't an anti-feat for Genos. I was pointing out that weaker characters than All Might, such as Deep Sea King, can be used to point out durability for All Might. As an example: If someone can one punch Saitama, it stands to reason they can one punch Genos. Even if the person never punches Genos, you can compare relative durability to know Genos would die.

I didn't say this definitively gave All Might the edge but that, in addition to how weak we know Genos is in terms of durability, puts the odds in All Might's favor. At least to everyone who isn't a fan boy.

"You realize Bakugou is TIERS below Genos is literally every possible way right? Like, to even compare the two is crazy."

I think the same of even trying to compare Genos, during the Deep Sea King fight to All Might, yet here you are.

@chaos239: "You do realise the massive difference in power between a City Block level and Mountain busting? Like... in all honestly come on." I understand fanboys are going to fanboy.

However, the situations are not comparable. Genos, with no opposition and at peak strength, is able to charge up at his best and destroy a building with the Mountain behind it. However, not all mountains are created equal and, unless you know an image I do not, you cannot know the size.

Not all mountains are created equal.

Another point: Are you suggesting that Genos, weaker than he was fighting the Deep Sea King, did a stronger attack on that building than he did when he blasted the Deep Sea King away? Seems unlikely given everything we know about Genos, but the Deep Sea King attack only destroyed some city blocks......

With regards to All Might he destroyed mid way into a city from a punch, while being in a weakened state, and holding back.

So, the question becomes, do you honestly think All Might at the beginning of the series would not be able to destroy the House of Evolution/Mountain behind it if he attacked it with no one stopping him?
