5 years ago? I was writing code for Comic Vine, while rocking my newborn daughter with my foot, from a dirty little office we were renting in Berkley. Seems forever ago.
The Stormwatch team page is in definite need of some work. What do we do about storylines on character's and team pages that are no longer in continuity with the New DCU?
I don't think we do anything different than we normally do. Put all the new content under Major Story Arcs. For now, don't rewrite origins, but do update the "Current Events" paragraph to reflect new changes. If we follow our wiki style guide we'll continue to have well written articles that explain the characters and changes to them over time... over decades.
This is horrible. I actually felt misty eyed for a second... So I'm guessing there is nothing that can be done to shut down a place like this because of the cultural angle involved? Or maybe there is hope still because some practitioners are denouncing the use of the bile?
Saw you post after I posted.... Check out my post above.
My sister works for a Non-Profit that called Animals Asia that is dedicated to saving these bile farm bears. They are called Moon Bears and their really pretty sweet. Her organization helps buy the bears from the farmers and in exchange help transition them into another line of work.
@Red L.A.M.P.: Most definitely great, being able to add people to different circles is fantastic and the simple drag and drop for organizing them is sexy as hell and letting us create our own circles is awesome and being able to post directly to specific circles instead of everyone is also fantastic. As a straight up people only social network it has a lot of potential and the built in multi-person voice/video chat is going to be a huge draw.
Yep, I also like how it's integrated into my Gmail, which I keep open in a tab all day long. And Google+ is way way better for carrying on a conversation than Facebook is. It's like a giant message board.
Typing + automatically opens a popup to search for the user you want to reply too. I love that.
