  • Thomas Foster followed in the footsteps of his uncle Bill Foster by becoming a well learned scholar while maintaining an athletic scholarship at MIT. When Tom replicated the work that his uncle and Hank had done at SHIELD for Project Goliath, he had developed a serum that would allow the user to grow to immense heights without experiencing overwhelming exhaustion after prolonged exposure. Tom has become the new Goliath and has accepted a position at Damage Control from Anne-Marie Hoag.

  • Dr. Michael Stockton was affiliated with AIM until Aldrich Killian's exposure and death brought about the company's downfall. Stockton took an interest in the newly resurrected Ant-Man and the tech that Hank Pym had in his mobile laboratory. Stockton contracted Sonny Burch to obtain the lab by any means necessary. When Burch was arrested, Stockton was contacted by Kurt Dagmarov who was under the influence of Pilai, an insect from the Quantum Realm with dreams of conquest.

  • Pilai is a Kosmosian insect who made contact with Dr. Vernon Van Dyne through the use of Dr. Janos Trovaya's EMP Communication Device. Pilai shared his knowledge with Van Dyne who in turn retrofitted everything he learned to the available scientific methods of his time. Pilai then convinced Van Dyne to create a quantum tunnel that would allow Pilai to enter Earth. Unfortunately, Van Dyne was arrested by the East German Stasi before he could finish. Pilai eventually escapes the Quantum Realm when he hitches a ride on Pym's specialized vehicle when Hank rescues Janet. Before half of Earth's population was snapped out of existence, Pilai managed to infiltrate Kurt's mind and Kurt became Pilai's reluctant host as Pilai made preparations to conquer Earth.

  • In 1961, Ninotchka "Nina" Tsiolkovsky and her cousin Maria Trovaya were given the task of delivering an EMP Communication Device to Dr. Vernon Van Dyne, a colleague of Maria's father Janos. Unfortunately, the girls were trapped in Berlin when the Berlin Wall was erected. In 1968, Hank Pym and Dr. Van Dyne started a correspondence. Maria became enamored by Hank and eventually they got married while Nina grew envious of her cousin's happiness. Nina sold out Dr. Van Dyne to the East German Stasi in the hopes that Maria and Hank would be captured as well. Dr. Van Dyne was arrested and Maria managed to escape with the help of smugglers. Hank got wind of the travesty but he couldn't find Maria. By 1978, Nina became a part of the Hungarian's People Security Force and discovered that Maria was living in Budapest. Nina creates a false encoded communique while posing as Maria and sends it to Hank Pym. Hank receives the message and finds Maria shopping at her favorite marketplace according to her message. Hank embraces Maria with a passionate kiss and they finally consummate their marriage. When Hank and Maria figure out that they have been set up, they are ambushed by the Hungarian People's Security Force led by Nina. During their imprisonment, Hank learns from Nina that she sent the encoded message in order to lure him out and that Maria is pregnant. Nina's superiors order her to allow Maria to carry her child until the baby is born. Nine months later, Hank is forced to watch as Nina holds his daughter Nadia in her arms while Maria is executed by firing squad.

  • Henry Jonathan Pym lived in the shadow of his revered father Dr. Henry Bradford Pym. Hank hated it when people would mention his nickname Junior or condescend by calling him "Big Man" for his achievements. Hank was a part of United States Army Intelligence Corps and was stationed in West Berlin where he made a contact in the East. Hank agrees to deliver Dr. Van Dyne's letters to his family in exchange for information. Van Dyne informs Hank that he has been corresponding with a being from across the galaxy. Vernon's detailed notes described how to utilize quantum energy such as developing particles that could shrink or enlarge anything. During that time, Hank got to know Van Dyne's assistant Maria Trovaya. The two of them fell in love and later got married. Hank lost contact with Van Dyne and Maria when the East German Stasi arrested Van Dyne and later executed him. After delivering the sad news to Janet Van Dyne about Vernon, Hank and Janet began a rocky relationship. When Hank was inducted into SHIELD, he perfected Van Dyne's subatomic formula and created the Pym Particles. Hank and Janet split up when he receives an encoded letter from Maria Trovaya. Janet knew Hank still had unresolved feelings for his wife and chose to let him go. Hank goes to Hungary and finds Maria where they finally consummate their marriage. Unfortunately, Hank learns from Maria that she never sent a letter to him and their reunion was a trap set up by Maria's cousin Nina. The two of them are ambushed by the Hungarian People's Security Force led by Nina Tsiolkovsky. During their imprisonment, Hank learns from Nina that she sent the encoded message in order to lure him out and that Maria is pregnant. Nina's superiors order her to allow Maria to carry her child until the baby is born. Nine months later, Hank is forced to watch as Nina holds his daughter in her arms while Maria faces a shooting squad. Hank and Hope are later rescued by Janet Van Dyne who found a Wasp suit that Hank had created for her. Janet's newfound love for Hope helped her forgive Hank for his shortcomings. In the present time, Hank's health is jeopardized by the Pym Particles.

  • Janet Van Dyne and her mother were blocked off from the Eastern sector of Berlin when the Berlin Wall was erected. Janet and her mother decided to leave Europe during this Communist turmoil while her father was trapped in East Berlin. When Dr. Van Dyne made a friend out of Hank Pym, Pym agreed to deliver Van Dyne's letters to his wife and daughter. Janet got to know who Hank was when Hank delivered the sad news about Dr. Van Dyne's capture by the East German Stasi. The relationship between Janet and Hank was rocky in the beginning due to Hank's obsession to find Maria Trovaya, his first wife that he met in Eastern Europe. Hank and Janet split up in 1978 when Hank received an encoded letter from Maria Trovaya. In 1979, Hank was rescued by Janet who found the Wasp suit that he made for her. Janet's newfound love for Hope is partly brought upon the fact that Janet is incapable of having children of her own. Janet forgives Hank for his shortcomings and asks that he promises not to keep anymore secrets from her. In the present time, Janet and Dr. Erica Sondheim work together in repairing Hank's heart which has been jeopardized by stress and exposure to the Pym Particles. Janet's evolution brought on by her stay in the Quantum Realm may provide the solution the women need in saving Hank's life before its too late.

  • Dr. Erica Sondheim is Hank Pym's cardiologist. It seems the stress that Hank has endured as well as his exposure to the Pym Particles have jeopardized his health. Erica and Janet Van Dyne work together in saving Hank when he goes into catatonic state.

Luis now works for his uncle Antonio at the cantina when Luis lost the trust of the clientele that X-Con Security had developed.

  • Maria Trovaya was the daughter of Dr. Janos Trovaya, a geneticist and entomologist. Maria and her cousin Nina Tsiolkovsky were given the task of delivering Janos' EMP Communication Device to Dr. Vernon Van Dyne, a colleague of Janos. Unfortunately, the girls were trapped in Berlin when the Berlin Wall was erected. News of Maria being stuck in East Berlin drove Janos to commit suicide by causing an explosion in his lab. When Hank Pym and Dr. Van Dyne started a correspondence in 1968, Maria became enamored by Hank. Hank and Maria eventually got married while Nina grew envious of her cousin's happiness. Nina sold out Dr. Van Dyne to the East German Stasi in the hopes that Maria and Hank would be captured as well. Dr. Van Dyne was arrested but Maria managed to escape with the help of smugglers. Maria led a reclusive lifestyle in Budapest knowing that if she made contact with Hank, it could endanger them both. In 1978, Hank receives an encoded communique from Maria stating she managed to get out of East Germany when she learned of Vernon's death. Hank finds Maria shopping at her favorite marketplace according to her message. Hank embraces Maria with a passionate kiss and they finally get to consummate their marriage. Maria asks Hank how he managed to find her and he refers to her encoded message. Maria professes that she never sent any message and the two of them are ambushed by the Hungarian People's Security Force led by Nina Tsiolkovsky. During their imprisonment, Hank learns from Nina that she sent the encoded message in order to lure him out and that Maria is pregnant. Van Dyne was an astrophysicist and he intended to use Janos' EMP Communication Device to correspond with extraterrestrial life. In 1968, Van Dyne made a contact in the West (Hank Pym) who agreed to deliver letters to his family in exchange for information. Van Dyne was communicating with a being that gave Vernon detailed notes on how to utilize quantum energy with the technology that was available to him at that time. With this knowledge, Vernon was asked to develop a miniature version of the Quantum Tunnel which allowed his alien benefactor to come to Earth but the completion of the tunnel was interrupted when the East German Stasi arrested Vernon and executed him.
