The Ladies for Thor Ragnarok (MCU topic)

My good friend DarkDetective 27 just brought me some developing news about Thor Raganrok. The casting director and writer are considering bringing in Valkyrie into the fold along with a lead female villain. I'm hoping the villainess is Karnilla, Queen of the Norns and lover of Balder whose death is the cause for Ragnarok. More than likely due to a huge demand from fans, the villainess will be Enchantress since her sister Lorelei has already appeared in Marvel's AoS.

At the same time, I think Sif should become Enchantress because she is jealous of Jane Foster if you notice the hints in Thor Dark World. Perhaps Sif discovers that Loki is masquerading as Odin but chooses not to do anything about it because she wants to learn Loki's magical talents of deception. She wants to win Thor's affections even if that means betraying the trust of Asgard and allowing Odin to continue rotting in a dungeon.

As for Valkyrie, my speculation is Jane Foster will inherit the power of Thor since Foster is the female Thor in Marvel Comics. In other words, Odin dies and Thor becomes the All Father thereby getting a huge power boost and Jane Foster becomes the new Thunder Goddess. It could work since Natalie Portman complained about the lack of development in her role for Thor Dark World.

There is also talk about Hela being introduced in Thor Ragnarok and maybe Cate Blanchett will play her but I'm hoping this isn't true because Hela would be better served as the personification of Death in the Infinity War movie and Thanos is trying to court Death by destroying the universe for her.

The Cast for Dr. Strange film just got bigger

Amy Landecker has just joined the cast for the upcoming Dr. Strange movie. Now while her role has not been officially confirmed yet its fairly obvious that the beautiful "Transparent" star is going to be playing Dormammu's sister and Clea's mother...the seductive Umar. As of right now, the confirmed cast consists of the following but I'm really waiting for Marvel Studios to confirm that Jackie Chan will be playing Wong, Dr. Strange's mentor and confidant.

Dr. Strange: Benedict Cumberbatch (Would have been a better villain and Edward Norton as Dr. Strange)

Baron Mordo: Chiwetel Ejiofor (Was hoping he would be a voodoo priest rather than a Buddhist gone bad)

Anicent One: Tilda Swinton (Its a real pity that they couldn't get Ken Watanabe or Chow Yun Fat)

Dormammu: Mads Mikkelsen (Great choice but I'm worried this maybe the actor's only stab in the MCU)

Clea (Umar's daughter): Rachel McAdams (Excellent choice. I was bummed when she died in Sherlock Holmes)

Wong: Jackie Chan (Chan would be an awesome addition to the MCU)

Dr. Nicodemus West: Michael Stuhlbarg (Nice casting choice. More than likely after he attempts to fix Dr. Strange's hands, he hears from Strange that he was approached by Wong or Scarlet Witch about going to Tibet. Nicodemus is unsettled by this because he is a failed student of the Ancient One. Nicodemus sees Strange's desperation as an opportunity so he finances his trip to Tibet. Nicodemus leeches off magic users and uses magic to destroy all remnants of magic because he feels its more dangerous than useful)

Scarlet Witch: Elizabeth Olsen (I'm hoping her involvement in the Civil War will lead to an ending credit scene with her entering the Sanctum Sanctorum)

Adam Warlock & Magus (possession of the Soul Gem): ? (Open to suggestions)

Who should be in Infinity War Movie? (MCU Topic)

The Infinity War movie is going to be a two parter with roughly 2hr and 30 minutes of screen time for each part. This should give our heroes and villains ample time to develop cohesion but the question is who should star in the Infinity War movie? Here is my speculation.

Villains Category

  1. Thanos: He has the Infinity Gauntlet and wants to destroy life itself throughout the universe.
  2. Red Skull: The Red Skull wants the Infinity Gauntlet for himself so he can become a god.
  3. Enchantress: Amora works with the Red Skull and keeps Thor distracted because he could be a big game changer in the Infinity War since he is the new All-Father.
  4. Grim Reaper: Simon Eric Williams is a servant of Hel, the Asgardian goddess of Death and works with Thanos in obtaining the Infinity Stones
  5. Hel: The Asgardian goddess of Death and Thanos' beloved.
  6. Executioner: Skurge keeps Thor's allies distracted while Amora works her charms on Thor All-Father.
  7. Akhenaten: Akhenaten is the guardian of the Heart of the Universe. Thanos intends to uses the Infinity Gauntlet to choke the life out of the HOTU and destroy the universe.
  8. Kree: The Kree armada serve the will of Thanos.

Avengers Category

  1. Iron Man/ Captain America/ Thor/ Hulk/ Black Widow/ Hawkeye/ Ant-Man/ Wasp/ Scarlet Witch/ Vision/ Falcon/ War Machine/ Quicksilver (if resurrected)
  2. Black Panther: T'Challa defends Wakanda from Thanos' forces.
  3. Captain Marvel: Carol takes on the Kree armada in the skies.
  4. Dr. Strange and other magic users: Defend the people of New York from the demonic forces of Hel.
  5. The Inhumans: The Inhumans fortify Attilan from the Kree armada.
  6. Asgardians: Defend Asgard from the Executioner's forces.
  7. SHIELD: Factions of SHIELD defend the people across the world.

Guardians of the Galaxy Category

  1. Star-Lord: Quill intends to put an end to his uncle's (Thanos) mad scheme to end the universe.
  2. Gamora & Drax: Both Guardians have a vendetta against Thanos.
  3. Groot, Rocket & Yondu: These cosmic misfits follow Quill into any battle.
  4. Moondragon: The Celestial Madonna known as Mantis must prevent Thanos from destroying all life in the universe.
  5. Adam Warlock: Adam is the guardian of the Soul Gem and will not allow Thanos to abuse the power of this particular Infinity Stone.

Sound off ur ideas and how everything could fit together or what isn't required.

Bane's Fate in Arkham Knight (Spoiler Alert)

For those of u that have been following the online comic series of Arkham Knight, it has been just confirmed that Bane has been rubbed out by the Arkham Knight. Before the events of the Arkham Knight game, Scarecrow held a meeting with some of Batman's premiere rogues like Poison Ivy, Riddler, Penguin, Two-Face and Harley. None of them believed that Scarecrow's new toxin could take down the Batman nor did they trust the Arkham Knight so the Arkham Knight demonstrated his resilience and the potency of Crane's toxin. Arkham Knight poisoned Bane with Crane's new toxin in order to unleash his full animosity and the Arkham Knight proved his abilities by going toe to toe with Bane.

As some of u may know, Rocksteady has left us gamers with a cliffhanger at the end of Arkham Knight. Someone dressed like the Batman has either used Crane's fear toxin to inflict fear into the hearts of criminals or has made a deal with the devil themselves to bring Gotham's Underworld to its knees. Sadly, Bane will not be joining us in the final installment of the Arkham Series when it does get made.

Could Lance Hunter be the villain Nitro? (AoS topic)

Lance Hunter is a former SAS who teamed up with Coulson's faction of SHIELD but there's one thing I'm curious about. Lance has an intimate knowledge of the dark underbelly of the world because he was a mercenary. However, I'm curious if Lance Hunter is Nitro, one of Captain Marvel's first rogues. Nitro's full name is Robert Lance Hunter. Could Joss Whedon merge both characters in order to establish a parallel between Agents of SHIELD and the upcoming Captain Marvel movie? It would be plausible because Hunter could be given the nickname "Nitro" because he specializes in demolition and explosives.

Audience Survey of Thor: Ragnarok

Many individuals were disappointed with the last two Thor installments for different reasons but now Thor is being accompanied by the green behemoth himself. What can we expect or even better question is: What should we expect?

  1. Prologue: Should Bruce Banner be given a trial to determine his fate while being defended by his cousin Jennifer Walters aka She-Hulk?
  2. Betty Ross: Should Betty Ross accompany the Hulk during his preeminent launch to the planet Sakaar or be killed off by the Abomination?
  3. Balder: Should Balder be the precursor to Ragnarok or a substitute king for Thor?
  4. Beta Ray Bill: Should Beta Ray Bill be given a hammer that has Odin's power?
  5. Karnilla: Should the Queen of the Norns be a rogue or an ally of Thor?
  6. Hulk's Rogue Gallery: Should the Hulk's remaining rogue gallery make a final appearance? Red Hulk, Leader, Abomination and the Red King.
  7. The Serpent: Odin's accursed brother is the God of Fear. In the Norse Legend, Thor is destined to take on the Midgard Serpent during the final days of Ragnarok. Should the Serpent be a key villain during the film or should he be reference for the Serpent Crown which can transform the bearer into the Midgard Serpent?
  8. Surtur: Surtur is the harbinger of Ragnarok. The Sword of Surtur is an infamous artifact that grants the wielder the power of the fire demon. Should someone like the Red King or Red Hulk become a vessel for Surtur?

Matthew McConaughey turned down GOTG 2 role?

Matthew McConaughey has just turned down the lead villain role for GOTG 2. I should have known that James Gunn was lying about only adding one new character to the his latest installment of GOTG. We all know about Pom is being casted for either Mantis, Moondragon or Phyla-Vell but what role do u think Matthew turned down?

Could Matthew be playing Magus (evil version of Adam Warlock) or J'Son? I know Gunn said that J'Son wasn't going to be Quill's father in GOTG 2 but seeing as how Gunn keeps feeding us false press, anything is possible.

News about Arkham Knight: Season of Infamy

If anyone has played Arkham Knight, they would be familiar with the latest DLCs like Batgirl's Matter of Family or Nightwing's Breakout. Sadly, most of these DLCs have fallen short of amazing or challenging. However, the newest DLC that is coming in December has been dubbed Season of Infamy. Arkham is bringing its own brand of holiday cheer to its players. There are four challenge maps with four rogues to contend with. The lead villain is recently resurrected Ra's al Ghul followed by Mad Hatter, Mr. Freeze and Killer Croc.

It is unfortunate because there was a rumor that Prometheus was going to make his debut in the Arkham series. Fortunately, Arkham Knight left us with a cliffhanger at the end of the game which leaves room for a sequel and a chance to see villains we have yet to encounter. There's also the possibility of another prequel to follow up with Arkham Origins.

The Fantastic Four will helm MCU's Phase 4

I know it hasn't been confirmed yet but the recent news about the Hellfire and Legion TV show indicates that Fox is doubling down on the Mutant franchise which includes television rights and is going to give up the Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer and all those who follow. Its plausible that the Fantastic Four will be one of the three mystery movies that Marvel Studios is planning for 2020.

However, my only concern is if Marvel Studios enters an agreement with Fox about FF and SS, will they establish terms so that Fox will share X-Men on occasion like Sony shares Spider-Man. At the same time, do u what this means: the Skrull Invasion, two more phases, Kang the Conqueror and the Secret Wars. So many endless possibilities are flashing through my head.

I understand there is a lot of negative stigma for FF right now but this will be Marvel's Fantastic Four and I feel confident that Kevin Feige and those at Marvel Studios will learn from the past failures and create an epic quadrilogy. Shout out to the heavens my friends this is a time to celebrate.

Hulk has been confirmed for Thor Ragnarok

Finally Marvel Studios is hearing me out. I am totally psyched out. I originally designed a list with Thor and Hulk teaming up to prevent Ragnarok and now Marvel Studios is gonna make it happen. However, with a few differences. The ultimate battle will take place on a planet that isn't Earth or Asgard. Speculations dictate that the prologue will be Hulk being transported to a desolate planet along with Abomination, Leader and possibly the Red Hulk.

This kinda blows my idea of the Time Stone being introduced out of the water. As for the Red King who was Hulk's foe on Planet Hulk, he may not appear since Sakkarans were introduced in GOTG and they looked nothing like the Red King. Perhaps the Leader, Red Hulk or even the Red Skull will substitute for the Red King instead. This could also mean Beta Ray Bill may make his cinematic debut as well.

I was hoping that if Captain America does dies in Civil War that he would go to Valhalla and then he gets resurrected in order to help Thor prevent Ragnarok. It may still happen. Sound off ur ideas. Maybe Marvel Studios will implement them. Check out the article on Superhero Hype. This is awesome news
