Can't help but notice that in Justice League vs the Fatal Five, Superman seemed pretty OP, at least toward the end. Now I can’t recall if this is official canon, but it’s based on the same cartoon, so I'm thinking it might?

Anyways we see some pretty good showings from Superman:

1. Chasing the Eye of Ekron to the Sun

Empress claims that in 3 minutes, the Earth will be no more (can’t recall exact lines but implication was it would blow up the Sun). This might be exaggerated, since if you check the time frame from when the eye leaves the Earth to when it's approaching the Sun, it's more on the lines of 5 minutes (still fast). Superman manages to catch up to it just before reaching the Sun, and he left the Earth about 3-4 minutes after the eye. Light takes about 8 minutes and 20 seconds to reach the Earth from the Sun. So Superman should be at least Speed of Light, given that he reaches the eye right before it hits the Sun despite leaving Earth a few minutes after the eye. (A little OP if you ask me, in comparison to what he's done in the cartoon)

2. Tanking the explosion of the Sun caused by the eye

No Caption Provided

This is not to say that he tanked a supernova, but the explosion was enough to crack the Sun (whatever the heck that means). But even low-balling it, he should be tanking at least a super massive planetary explosion. This seemed crazier than even the speed showing.

Anyways these are things I noticed from the film. Superman is my favorite comic character so seeing him do some crazy things in the animated universe was pretty cool, consider this is one of the weaker versions. Again I'm not sure if it's canon to the DCAU but I'm sure it's a story that takes place in some version of it. The other characters seemed much stronger in this movie than in the show, so I thought it would be interesting to point it out.

Thoughts?

I personally dont like the chainmail look; would love to see a suit with a smoother texture and maybe some panel separation, kinda like new 52 but w/o being armor

Maybe batman can provide since he'll probably provide a new costume for flash ?

It's kinda weird, but I do have a huge concern that they'll make him really big and we'll get another cgi monster/destruction porn fest that is doomsday lmao.

Im really hoping they stick to a stature resembling the pre-new 52 design, just so that the fight scenes can be more on a personal one on one level with each league member.

Just my thoughts...

AGAIN, SPOILER ALERT!!!

• Diana is sculpted from clay, brought to life by Zeus, created as a weapon ("Godkiller") to stand against Ares

• Ares has killed the other Olympian Gods. He influences WWI by providing suggestions to weapons (whispering to Dr. Poison a new formula for mustard gas)

• Antiope dies protecting Diana from German soldiers who raided the island beach in pursuit of Steve

• Steve steals a journal containing the formula for Dr. Poison's new gas.

• Diana believes that General Ludendorff is actually Ares. We later find out that he is not, and it is actually the British General, Sir Patrick.

• Steve dies by hijacking the plane containing the mustard gas bombs. He ignites the bombs, destroying the ship in midflight, killing himself.

• The fight between Ares and Diana starts off one-sided, with Ares knocking her down and brushing off her attacks everytime. Ares shows flight, telekinesis, weapon construction out of metals, and lightning manipulation. However, after witnessing Steve's selfless act, she declares that she will fight for humanity, stating that love trumps the hatred in mankind (not exactly what she stated, just how I interpreted it). Ares channels lightning at her, but she absorbs it and redirects it into him, destroying him for good.

I thought this was the best film in the DCEU thus far. It had such an intense and well-thought out story. I was a bit heartbroken when Steve died :( , but I felt that it added a dramatic element to the story; his act of selflessness gave Diana the inspiration to fight for mankind. Awesome film!! Definitely go check it out!!

@spockoclock:

That would actually be perfect. It's so similar to the game design. Just make him an 8 ft motion capture character and bam, the perfect darkseid :)

Hopefully, pretty much his design in injustice 2. Large but not monstrously tall, armored but not fully covered by metal plates. Simple as that.

SPOILERS!!!!!

I'd say it could go either way, maybe leaning towards superman. From what was displayed in the movie, ares seems to have a greater array of skills and powers (telekinesis, weapon creation, magic lightning), but supes has an overall greater destructive capacity (relative to what was shown of both characters). So I'd say supes 5.5/10.

I felt like ares couldve been given some better combat feats (still impressive tho). Hopefully steppenwolf and darkseid show a better display of power and feats in the upcoming jl films. WW was great overall!! 9/10!!
