Respect Amazo, One Man Justice League (Complete Respect Thread)

No Caption Provided

My first costume sux tbh

Introduction

Amazo's powers are relatively simple: he was a robot designed to copy and mimic the metahuman powers of those around it. Originally Amazo had the powers of the seven core members of the Justice League, but due to the nature of the robot, it has developed and mimicked the powers of more superheroes, like the Atom and Firestorm.

Amazo's capabilities as a legit teambuster aren't the best recorded, so I wanted to go over his feats in detail. This will also go over his amped "Timazo" form, as well as some of his N52 stuff (through he doesn't actually have much at all, so keep that in mind)

Amazo Virus

No Caption Provided

Lex Luthor creates a anti metahuman virus from the insides of the Amazo unit. Of course, this virus gets out of control and starts to infect everyone, not just metahumans. (Justice League #36)

Scan 1- The Amazo Virus leaves the JLA in poor condition. Even the Flash's hyper enhanced metabolism (which has burned off viruses from Poison Ivy) can't deal with it (Justice League #36)

Scan 2- The Amazo Virus will kill anyone infected within 24 hours, through they will be badly damaged and incapable of moving of their own accord long before that.

Scan 1/2- The first infected with it (the second Amazo) could control anyone effected with the Virus and use them as his own army (Justice League #38)

Durability

Scan 1/2/3- It takes the full League working together in unison to take down a confused and memory wiped Amazo unit. Even when, the robot eventually breaks out and repairs from the damage it took. (Justice League of America #6)

Scan 1/2- Rebuilds quickly after losing its head and hits a massive AOE using Firestorm's powers. (Justice League of America #24)

No Caption Provided

Takes blows from Superman (Superman Special #3)

No Caption Provided

Tanks a blow from Kid Amazo while damaged and not at full power. Kid Amazo also has the same powers he does. (JLA Classified #37)

No Caption Provided

Tanks a hit from Hawkgirl's mace by using Elongated Man's elastic powers while catching multiple arrows not looking at them (it even states that Amazo let her tag him on propose to get her close to his range) (Justice League of America #6)

Scan 1/2- Tanks a full force strike from Sliver Age Superman's Supermobile, forged out of Supermanium, the most powerful metal in Pre Crisis, easily getting up after a spilt second of being stunned. (Action Comics #481)

No Caption Provided

Tanks multiple heroes at once, like Power Girl, Booster Gold, Captain Atom, etc. (JLA #27)

No Caption Provided

Uses the Elongated Man's powers to tank a bullrush by Superman and sends him flying by rebounding his blows back at him (Superman Special #3)

Energy Projection

No Caption Provided

Amazo banishes the JLA minus Superman to a different dimension using the powers of Green Lantern and Superman (Action Comics #480)

No Caption Provided

Amazo beats Hal Jordan in a battle of will using the composite willpower of the JLA on top of Hal's own. (Justice League of America #112)

No Caption Provided

Amazo can also repair major damage using Green Lantern's powers, using his natural speed to do so quickly. (Action Comics #483)

Scan 1- Amazo covers the entire moon with a green construct. Manhunter states that Amazo's willpower is the combined JLA and that none of them can break through the construct. (Aztek-The Ultimate Man #10)

Scan 2- This is confirmed when Krle Rayner tries to bust through the shield with his own construct, and fails to do so.

No Caption Provided

Amazo takes down Superman with Firestorm's powers while moving at super speed (Justice League of America #23)

No Caption Provided

Keeps Flash moving at lightspeed inside a Green Lantern barrier. Barry even states that his speed will not be enough to get through it. (The Brave and the Bold #30)

No Caption Provided

Slaps away Steel, Wonder Woman, Huntress, Flash, and Kyle Rayner with a energy blast. (JLA #27)

Scan 1/2- Summons a Doomsday construct powerful enough to one shot the metal Superman (he was the same stat wise, just converted into a robot and stripped of his humanity) (Hourman #6)

No Caption Provided

Takes out Green Lantern with Firestorm's powers, overpowers multiple JLA members by spamming out multiple energy based attacks. (Justice League of America #24)

No Caption Provided

Traps multiple robot JLA members inside a energy construct, including Wonder Woman, Superman, and Kyle Rayner. (Hourman #7)

Gear

No Caption Provided

Amazo can also mimic the gear of those he copies, like Wonder Woman's lasso. Through this is mostly the only piece of gear we see from him, he has also used Green Lantern's ring, as well as Hawkgirl's mace. (Action Comics #481)

Intangibility

Scan 1/2- Goes intangible in response to major damage (Justice League of America #23)

Invisibility

No Caption Provided

Like Martian Manhunter, Amazo can turn invisible to the eyesight of others. (Justice League of America #242)

Machine Conversion

Scan 1- Amazo can not only copy the powers of others, but can also convert humans into robots, stealing their emotions and feelings in the exchange. (Hourman #6)

Scan 2- Amazo uses this to turn the JLA into inhuman robots.

No Caption Provided

This can be done with just a touch, through human emotions overwhelm Amazo after a while and make him distracted. (Hourman #7)

Magical Capabilities

No Caption Provided

Uses Zatanna's magic to trap her and Atom in a rug. (Justice League of America #191)

No Caption Provided

Uses Hawkman's mystical powers to summon a eagle and enlarges it with Zatanna's magic (Superman Special #3)

Power Duplication

No Caption Provided

Amazo's only original power comes from his special genes, which can copy and imitate the traits of those around it (Secret Origins of Super-Villains 80-Page Giant)

No Caption Provided

As described by the Atom, Amazo's copying is molecular in nature (Justice League of America #112)

No Caption Provided

Base Amazo has the standard stats of the JLA due to their powers retaining in his genetic structure (Superman Special #3)

No Caption Provided

Uses Parasite's powers to drain the JLA of their powers in seconds, through this was only done by having a physical article of Parasite's arm attached to Amazo's body. (Justice League of America #6)

Scan 1/2- Amazo quickly gains the powers of multiple new superheroes within moments of fighting them, mastering Firestorm's molecular powers enough to trap multiple of them as well as Black Lightning's electrical powers. (JLA #27)

Scan 3- Amazo then becomes strong enough to casually backhand the likes of Captain Atom, Superboy, and Obsidian, showcasing how powerful he became through this process. Should be noted here that Amazo's powers stack, so willpower, strength, etc gets more powerful the more people he is exposed to.

Shrinking

No Caption Provided

Can shrink as easily as the Atom, using it with Flash's speed (Justice League of America #191)

Sonic Projection

No Caption Provided

Uses the Canary Cry to knock out Steel. (Justice League of America #242)

Scan 2- What makes this even more impressive is that this all occurred in the space of less than a second. Wally even states that Amazo would kill all of his Justice League members in another second as well.

Scan 1/2- Blitzes Green Lantern, Red Arrow, and Black Canary all at once. Green Lantern even states that Amazo was able to strike him multiple times in the leg to paralyse him while this blitz occurred. (Justice League of America #4)

No Caption Provided

No Caption Provided

Blitzes Zatanna along with Vibe and Vixen even when Zatanna was looking directly at him. (Justice League of America #242)

No Caption Provided

Scan 1- Can speed and match Barry Allen's speeds, beating him down by himself (Justice League of America #65)

Scan 2- This battle later led Flash to his death, and no, this wasn't a alternative universe nor a dream sequence, Amazo did actually kill the guy.

No Caption Provided

No Caption Provided

Gathers enough gold particles to cover himself completely by it in the space of one panel. (The Brave and the Bold #30)

No Caption Provided

Tags Flash mid run with a energy blast while backhanding Kyle Rayner and Huntress. (JLA #27)

Scan 2- It also warped through time as well, sending it a full five days in the future with the force of his strike.

No Caption Provided

Takes out metal Wonder Woman and Kyle Rayner (who were the same stat wise, just converted into machines) by throwing her into him. (Hourman #6)

Scan 1/2- Uses Superman's strength and heat vision to throw a meteor at Superman with 50% of his power, knocking him out from orbit and sending him crashing to Earth. (Action Comics #480)

No Caption Provided

Uses his powers to scan Martian Manhunter's mind mid attack using his own telepathy. (JLA #27)

Time Manipulation ("Timazo")

No Caption Provided

Turns some chick into a kid by reversing her biological time (Hourman #1)

No Caption Provided

He can open up pockets of time, allowing him to restore and revert death itself after it has occurred. This is something that is stated to be impossible to do by the Hourman himself. (Hourman #21)

Scan 1- Timazo casually accesses and rips out the second Hourman from the Timepoint (The Timepoint was completely inaccessible to anyone, even Hourman himself, and is located in the 4th dimension, a extremely high concept in DC's cosmology) despite it being stated to perhaps take years to find a way inside of the dimension. (Hourman #19)

Scan 2- When the current Hourman proves too hostile, Timazo reverts him to a younger version.

No Caption Provided

Timazo summons other Amazo's from his timestream from both the past and future. (Hourman #1)

No Caption Provided

Traps Snapper Curr in the past, leaving his body in the present while his soul travels backwards in time in a timeloop. (Hourman #21)

No Caption Provided

Timazo was so powerful that Hourman needed to completely remove all traces of him from the entire future ahead, even then he still came back due to his immense power. (Hourman #1)

Conclusion

All in all, Amazo is a extremely dangerous robot, capable of tearing through teams using inventive and powerful methods of extermination, as well as the capability to do so before a single second has past in real time. As well as this, Amazo can also take in more powers on top of his existing set, and become even more lethal in the process, having the intellect to use these powers to their full effect from first exposure, to say nothing of his even more powerful versions like Timazo. The JLA usually get very lucky with him, or have to directly nerf the guy by either stealing his speed, or having him usually get taken out by random circumstance.
