That is not my conclusion actually - the eye in question actually looks different than a normal eye, and is shown to greed the moment he explains he has the ultimate eye.
We actually see his patched eye is unlike a normal eye, and that's what he shows greed - explicit about it being the ultimate eye. Notably, that's the one greed destroys.
The magic eye in question is explicitly shown to be patched up. Performing the feat is not about the magic eye, his body capacity in general has explicitly surpassed human limits, including his eyesight. I have actually checked if there's a panel that mentions his unpatched eye is enhanced, and there isn't. That's why I was so sure about it lol
@kingcrimson: I have read the manga and seen the episode - can screenshot it for if you want, nowhere in the conversation does he mention the ultimate eye, just that his eyesight is keen. He does not even hint of using the ultimate eye itself, nor does it come up in the conversation - even in the direct flashback it is shown to be fully patched.
As for arguments, there should be something solid to go up against. Without even a single panel that says his unpatched eye has special properties, this is thin air, nothing to actually counter.
@marty2187: the canon is pretty clear on his eye - not his eyes - being his special ability, both of his eyes being special is completely baseless fan speculation without a single panel supporting it. Interesting to it's credit, but in terms of proof? about as proven as the "moon landing is fake" theory.
