@just_banter: Rayleigh snickered again at Alex's comments. He did not like how Alex inhaled the drink like a fish, but he was not going to quit now.
"I wasn't there with the rest of you unfortunately. I got there late due to some incident with a golem and a gimp. Instead my examination involved fighting this swordsman who was way too serious. You saw him right? The big lummox in the leather jacket. He only stood there most of the time although he seemed to almost take my head off whenever I tried to attack. I know he was holding back, but he could've been more gentle. I did not exactly sign up to get shanked."
Rayleigh mindlessly tapped his drink before downing the drink once again. This time his face began to redden a bit. He got to thinking remembering how Alex downed his drink.
"Sad thing is I'd probably do it again. If nothing else but to get a shot at the satisfaction of actually landing a punch."
@just_banter: Rayleigh threw the majority of his remaining money on the table.
"That was an awfully long way of saying you like being a bottom," Rayleigh said with a snicker. He was enjoying the buzz, "Although I guess I can understand. Responsibilities suck. Full stop. I myself just get excited at the thought of surpassing my current abilities and the satisfaction of beating that examiner."
Rayleigh quickly gulped down his mug, finishing with a satisfied sigh.
"Where are you from? I've never seen the likes of you up North."
@just_banter: Rayleigh had been sipping a mug of beer and speaking to the bartender when he saw a white haired guy sitting opposite a man passed out from him. Rayleigh shrugged, downed his drink, and sauntered over to the man now yelling out a challenge to the rest of the bar. With a single tap Rayleigh pushed over the big unconscious guy and took his seat. He did not worry about the assortment of people in drunken stupors nor mugs that had now completely covered the table. With a gust of wind, Rayleigh swept them off the table. He then motioned for the bartender to refill his own mug.
"You were there at the Alpha examination right? How'd you do? I heard your batch did well. Although y'all were a bit weaker than expect?" Rayleigh asked with a infectious smile plastered on his face.
@menos_kegare: (I have no idea who you'd want to have test Rayleigh so I'm just leaving that open till you tell me.)
Rayleigh's nerves were shot. The entrance examination had been tougher than he thought. He had often sparred with his family using their clan's martial arts and magic and he fought a few boys with earth magic before. His examiner had been an entirely different. The examiner had completely overwhelmed Rayleigh with such a ferocity that he thought he would be met with a killed blow at any moment. While listening to the squad captains debrief the new members of Alpha, Rayleigh thought back to the rhythm of the fight. A mischievous smirk escaped his notice. I might try to have a rematch with that examiner. That was fun.
After the squad captains left, Rayleigh yawned. He did not care whether he caught one of their eye now or later. Neither did he worry about which squad he would choose. The right answer would reveal itself when the time was right. For now he decided to do what he had always promised himself when he passed the Alpha entrance examination; he made a fast stride to the nearest bar. What better way was there to celebrate his newfound position?
@menos_kegare: I'll ask this just in case...you know who Hayato Shingu is right? I've been allowed him in every other scenario, but I don't want to feel like I'm sneaking him in.
Rayleigh Barbados
Bio: The Barbados family used to belong to one of the many air tribes wandering around the Northern border of the Unified Earth Republic until one day they were all violently thrown out. Their clan had been a cruel harsh one. Each member of the family left a piece of themselves with the clan: a hand, a nose, a tongue, and an eye. David and Sarai Barbados did their best to take care of their two kids, Danil and Rayleigh. They never told their children why the clan had banished them, yet Danil and Rayleigh remained confident their parents were in the right. Months of trying to continue their earlier nomadic lifestyle left them impoverished due to only living off the land where it was close to impossible without a larger group. Eventually when the parents buckled, the family moved into the closest city. There they finally attained a stable situation. Sarai raised and taught the kids of their clan's traditions, magic, and skills while David worked job after job to provide for his family. Rayleigh growing up was known for having three things: humor in droves, a daring attitude, and a sense of adventure. These attributes caused him to get himself into and out of trouble quite a bit. He only acted responsible when looking out for his mute little sister. As soon as he came of age, he struck out for the headquarters of Alpha with only the reluctant permission of his parents and a dispirited sister. Rayleigh wanted to join Alpha for the promise of adventure and the ability to do good. His family could not hold him back any longer. They only requested he come back to visit every once in a while, which Rayleigh happily agreed to do.
@menos_kegare: It's pretty hard find someone with wind/air manipulation who exactly fits house busting without stepping even slightly into building busting territory. Hmm...I guess Avatar state Aang is good unless he is also above house busting. Either way I'm also good just upscaling my regular power to house-busting.
Anime Kazuma doesn't have any respect threads, but I can show his best feats.

Here he blasts a giant hole from underground, which admittedly straddles the limits pretty hard. Later at 16:20 he lifts a giant behemoth into the air although it took him some charge up and isn't easily repeated.
