@donfelipe: you get used to it lol, if it happens just delete anything creator related in the HUD on the left and you should be able to submit the rest of the submission and then edit again to add the creators.
@donfelipe: that specific "behavior" was fixed, that's what I meant by it being random now, they changed the way stuff got saved for that. Now it is purely creator/role related, probably something about how it gets saved. I'm not sure how the database is set up but the relation between the two things is probably tricky to save and easily confused, like if you look at approved submissions sometimes you'll see multiple creators but all the roles will be "linked" to just one of the creators, it doesn't get saved that way it just displays them like that, makes it hard to moderate some submissions but I've always just assumed it is that relation that still causes that particular bug. I've even had it happen with just one creator added but usually it is like creator A, creator B, etc. and then like I add a role to A then a role to B but forgot to add another role to A and I go back and add it then it gets confused, even then though it doesn't always happen, just something happening behind the scenes that causes it.
@donfelipe: you are lucky then, they fixed it back then kinda, now it just happens randomly but way less often. I still get it at least a couple times a week but it is usually on smaller pages like Friday so not nearly as big an annoyance. Back in those days it was happening all the time when I was filling in Marvel collections with a 100+ creators...
@breakofdawn: we are one of many sites owned by a big company, that company most likely has a bunch of engineers, some probably work on whatever site(s) needs work and some are probably assigned to a specific site(s), we don't have any to my knowledge, if we did they would have created user accounts here so they could work on and test things.
After the Gamespot network merge we lost all dedicated staff members and engineers, somehow Rorie is the last man standing, where Gamespot goes he goes so he is the sole staff member that looks in on us and is some kind of middle man between CV and everyone else but he is mainly with GB where he has a bigger role I think. inferiorego might still technically be CV editorial staff but if he is still around he's been focused on entertainment news at GS.
@adamtrmm: you know we were bought again about eight months ago ya? as far as I know nobody from the new owners has been here or is here, we just have Rorie kinda. I've been able to get things worked on that already exist and break down but the extent of that is usually just some unknown engineer restarting a service or server somewhere, nothing more, and that has only been for the past couple months, before that I was ignored.
