@cbishop: hmm not a lot of that stuff lately and space opera type stuff tends to have a high episode count, you might like Drifters and One-Punch Man (also available on DVD/Blu-Ray).
@cbishop: The biggest mistake most people make when trying out anime is that they start with big popular shows, franchise stuff is just too big for a beginner. The easiest way is to pick something newish and short and self-contained from a genre you like, most modern anime tends to be shorter as they don't have the budgets so 12-13 episodes for an entire series, much better place to start. What are some of your favorites comics right now?
Based off that list doesn't look like much from the current season will appeal too you, maybe Aho-Girl, Youkai Apartment no Yuuga na Nichijou and Tenshi no 3P!.
You should check out Sakura Quest, it started last season and the second cour is going on right now. From last season you might also like Alice to Zouroku.
@venom_mouse: I will just say I knew the comicvine cast personally behind the closed doors for a little while.
I met you once, maybe twice, at conventions, for a total of maybe 30 minutes. I'm 99% sure Tony would say the same thing since we were attached at the hip.
So what you're saying is incredibly misleading.
lol, I think we are going to get along pretty well.
