@claymore1998: This year? 18,106.

Or since I started? About 1/3rd of the 571,474 issues in the wiki.

@jedixman: even more absurd for them to have separate continuities, everyone these days expects a shared universe thanks to Marvel (and it works better anyways), creating a new branch outside the DCEU is just going to confuse the general audience even more then they are now with all the different versions of characters from tv, cartoons, movies, video games, merch and comics.

I have low expectations for the Justice League movie, the solo movies are either really bad or really good, rarely inbetween but now something the size of JL with so many characters I can't see them handling it very well especially in a single two-three hour movie, they barely pulled off the Trinity in BvS and then there wasn't really a "team" in SS.

@cloudguy: that's what I read yesterday when I found out about the Joker movie by Scorsese.

I'm surprised they are doing a SS sequel and a Joker movie, less of that Joker would be much better. Even the Gotham tv show "Joker" is far superior to Leto.

@wildvine: Next seasons going to be worse, very long and drawn out and political, entire episodes without Titans.

@cbishop: hmm not a lot of that stuff lately and space opera type stuff tends to have a high episode count, you might like Drifters and One-Punch Man (also available on DVD/Blu-Ray).

@cbishop: The biggest mistake most people make when trying out anime is that they start with big popular shows, franchise stuff is just too big for a beginner. The easiest way is to pick something newish and short and self-contained from a genre you like, most modern anime tends to be shorter as they don't have the budgets so 12-13 episodes for an entire series, much better place to start. What are some of your favorites comics right now?

Based off that list doesn't look like much from the current season will appeal too you, maybe Aho-Girl, Youkai Apartment no Yuuga na Nichijou and Tenshi no 3P!.

You should check out Sakura Quest, it started last season and the second cour is going on right now. From last season you might also like Alice to Zouroku.
