Re-bandaging his legs, the distant voices of daytime talk show personalities echoed through the backdrop of the abandoned factory. It had been months, possibly years since a story had had enough headwind to overcome the daily political wars wrapped around the recent Presidential shift.
But in Delaware of all places, a former senator had managed to snatch headlines with his open campaign to bring back some form of superhero registration. The Secret Strix took a long pull off the cigarette loosely hanging from the corner of his lip with defied gravity.
He had heard this sales pitch before. Back when his brother, Absalom Strix had implemented similar legislation in Gothic. The powers that be destroyed the city, and the Strix family dynasty, shortly after.
Yet there was a cloak of charismatic resolve swirling around the promising candidate. Unafraid to toss around the Stark name in order to invoke the nostalgic sense of hardened fortitude the country experienced during the Iron Patriot's tumultuous term.

@doctor_plague: You put alot...alot of depth into your big alien/sci-fi concepts but my favorite stuff of yours has always been the street level type stuff. You just did a mix of No Country for Old Men and a Batman Doctor Hugo Strange, Scarecrow vibe. Pretty cool.

See Ishmael had a theory about Gothic money and its exclusive partnership with the city's....uniquely themed vigilantes. The Rooks....The Knightfalls....the Strix....all from wealth. All from money. And all had utilized this position of monetary affluence to compartmentalize dual persona's. Business suit during the day, cape and cowl during the night....Was Dmitriev the exception? Surely Gothic had numerous millionaires absent the late night building hops and criminal bashing. Surely.......
