You're looking for sense in a video game. If that's the case, then people should die in one shot in Call of Duty. But it wouldn't be as fun. You should get killed by one sword swing in Assassin's creed. But it wouldn't be as fun. One shot in Watch Dogs should kill you. But it wouldn't be as fun. Half of things you're capable of doing in Grand Theft Auto V should be taken out. But it wouldn't be as fun.

The point of a video game is to be fun and offer the player a sense of choice by controlling and deciding what the characters do. You can't look for sense in a game where there's a talking crocodile and a walking clayman

I almost was gonna just let your reply slide... but you are way off base with your assumption here.

The point is not that it would make realistic sense as it would make sense relative what the character is capable of. Your analogies about Call of Duty fails hard because shooting games tend to have mechanics where the player can get shot several times and not die... same as Assassin's Creed. The thing is the games themselves have their own characters with their own abilities within the gameplay itself. The thing about Batman on the other hand is, we know in comparison to a regular goon is way too skilled and too strong for them and easily able to take them down in 1 or 2 strikes... not several strikes as these Arkham games have it.

You misinterpret the whole premise of what I say and ran with it like Barry Sanders on a Football Field... Nice Job.

They weren't direct analogies. I was just showing you that by doing certain things to a game, it makes it less fun. At the end of the day, it's supposed to be a GAME and be fun while offering a challenge to the player. That isn't offered if you have your character one shotting all of it's enemies. It also definitely isn't as fun. They can portray the character correctly up to a certain extent, and then have the gameplay still fun for players.

@king_saturn: If you want, though I'll inform you that you're arguing against some game designs basics.

I don't care... it doesn't look right that Batman has to fight goons like damn near equals having to strike them multiple times a piece... whether it's game design basics or not. It's bullsh!t, just like flopping fouls in the NBA.

...It's a game. If you really want to see Batman one shotting Goons, then go read the comics. And even then, I'm pretty sure there are variations that don't. The Arkham series is it's own Universe tailored in a way to let the player have fun.

comics are not as interactive as video games...

It definitely wouldn't be interactive if you were one shotting the goons

Sure it would... and it would actually make sense too.
