Nemesis

When Paragon was flung through time on one of her adventures, she accidentally caused the accident that nearly killed Monica Sharr, which resulted in her father, Lionel Sharr, to transform his own daughter into a highly advanced cyborg.

Seeking revenge, Monica took the name of Nemesis and planned an elaborate plot to destroy her archenemy of Paragon. It nearly worked...

Paragon would eventually defeat Nemesis, but that was not the end of the Cyborg menace. She now plots and plans her next scheme to destroy her greatest enemy.

Nemesis possesses very similar powers as Paragon herself, plus the ability to analyze any opponent and create a weapon to defeat them. As Nemesis, Monica also possesses the power to control almost any technology near her and become one with it. She even has the ability to possess other machines, re-create new bodies for herself and build almost any technological wonder her mind can conceive of. Kalika

Kalika named herself after the Hindu Goddess of Destruction, which means "she who destroys". Who she was before, as well as her origins, remain lost to the many myths and legends written about her.

Centuries ago, Kalika became a powerful warrior with legendary power in the arcane arts. She went on to conquer many dimensions and destroyed many more for daring to defy her.

Kalika's reign was was finaly challenged by the Sorcerer Supreme centuries before the modern age. The battle, it was said, took days. When it was over, Kalika had lost. As punishment for her many crimes, the Sorcerer Supreme trapped Kalika in a book of black magic where she would remain until the modern era of super-heroes.

Kalika was finally freed, by accident, by the new Sorcerer Supreme, Jean Knightfall, when the hero known as Paragon brought the book to Jean in order for it to be destroyed. How Paragon gained possession of such a book remains a mystery. In either case, Jean and Paragon were able to defeat Kalika and the evil mage's soul now resides in the dagger she carried. This fact remains unknown to both Jean Knightfall and Paragon as Kalika seeks to regain her diminished strength and power before seeking her revenge.

Kalika's power, when at her peak, is a match even for the most powerful of mages. Oddly enough, she doesn't rely on spells or incantations, but instead raw magical power. There seems to be very little limit to what Kalika can achieve with her power and this makes her one of Paragon's most dangerous enemies.

Tarana Rain

A beautiful Native American, Tarana became Paragon's sidekick for all of a month before she was believed to be killed by Nemesis on live TV when Keira Hawke was offered a choice to save he mother or save Tarana. When Keira chose to save her mother, she watched in horror as Tarana was apparently killed by Nemesis. The death was faked and Nemesis tortured Tarana for months, planting seeds of hatred for Paragon until Ms. Rain finally broke.

Tarana Rain has a deep hatred towards Paragon for letting her nearly die at Nemesis's hands, tortured for months on end and left to rot. Because of the work Nemesis did with Tarana, the Indian girl has very little good left in her. She is a creature of hurt, rage and pain whose only goal is to force Paragon to feel everything she went through before putting Keira out of her misery.

Tarana is a very powerful mutant who can control the weather, shoot lightning from her hands and fly. Her power is augmented by her rage, allowing her to create any weather effects instantly and at her desired level of power. This makes Tarana all the more the dangerous when engaged in battle.

--Keira goes on a soul searching road trip after losing her powers.

--After a month of soul searching, Paragon returns to New York City after her powers finally return and is recruited in a secret organization known as Blackcat as a part time agent. She receives training by Aleron and is allowed access to Heimdall Space Station.

--Paragon deeply regrets not being there to help save Gothic City. After it's destruction, she helps find the few civilians that survived and helps retrieve the many that were lost. Taking a break from Gothic City, she flies into Japan on accident. There, Paragon meets Yoshi Senju and learns a terrible truth. The destruction of Gothic City was not an act of terrorism but rather an alien ship. Although the date is cut short, Paragon is given the device that holds the evidence and gains an ally.

--Paragon helps defend the Ukraine from an invasion.

--Paragon acts as an unofficial bodyguard to the President of the United States (albeit, from a few hundred miles away) during his meeting with the CEO's to discuss who will help rebuild Gothic City. To her regret and disgust, the meeting is a farce and she sees what kind of weak, corrupt and paranoid the President truly is. After the meeting, Keira updates her suit and installs anti-power damping technology. Silently, she makes plans to one day, if necessary, take down President Donn and expose him for the corrupt, and very criminal, man he is.

--Keira moves to Metro City and given leadership of the subsidiary of Hawke Industries as a test by her mother. Shortly afterward, she has a meeting with Vai and agrees to join forces and build Jurassic Tower in Suicide Slum to help the neighborhood.

--After the election of Brutus Metallo Dagaal-Ares, Keira chooses to retire as Paragon and allow the American people to see who they elected when Brutus eventually shows his true colors. If, and when, that day comes, Paragon will come out of retirement and throw Brutus in a prison in which there is no escape.

--Keira helps Hal solve a problem with his mysterious transformation into a being of willpower.

--Keira has a secret meeting with Luna Hawk to discuss ways to monitor the newly elected President Brutus Ares and to take him down the moment he steps out of line.

--Keira meets the Silver Spider and they become allies. The Spider themed hero also convinces Keira to remain as Paragon and a beacon of hope, as well as inspiration, for the people all over the world.

--Paragon gets her first Blackcat mission and she is ordered to see Lord Regent's intentions for Earth. The meeting goes well and Keira reports her findings.

--Hawke Industries absorbs Knightfall Industries after the mysterious disappearance of Jean Knightfall.

--Paragon and Nemesis switch bodies in Monica's latest revenge scheme. But the villain is defeated with Superion's help and his dog. Keira regains her original body as well.

--Paragon joins L.O.V.E. and befriends Maya Summers.

--Paragon helps Maya Summers on L.O.V.E.'s first mission and fights Cassius Knightfall to a stalemate.
