"Come on, come get me. I'm waiting."

Keira explains away the damage done to her office and it's repaired, but ever since that day she's had a stalker. Someone is watching her from every shadow and every corner. Invisible. Hunting her. Keira can still hardly believe it's her own mother. Every time Keira tries to get a look at her, she phases through a wall where lead is conveniently blocking her vision.

Paragon decides to set a trap with herself as the bait since this stalker wants her so badly, she's going to make herself an irresistible target. So she does, but this time switching to her identity as Paragon herself and not the CEO of Hawke Industries.

As Paragon waits, she whispers, "Come on, come get me. I'm waiting."

Paragon cannot rely on any hero, including her own brother, to help her with this since they are busy rescuing people after the recent terrorist attacks on NYC and other places. Which means that this virtuous hero is on her own.

Paragon doesn't have to wait for very long before the Crimson Death shows up in all her corrupted glory. The moment she does, she smiles wickedly, "Do you not think I know this is a trap?"

"I was counting on that." Paragon says in reply.

"Then why bother?" Crimson Death asks, walking towards her with a distinctive hip sway.

"Because I want to save you." Paragon says with hope in her voice.

A laugh breaks the air, it sends chills down Keira's spine as the Crimson Death stops just a foot away from her adopted daughter, "Darling, there's nothing you can do that can save me. Darkchild has corrupted me utterly and completely. There's nothing you can do...BUT DIE!" She hisses, attacking Keira with a hand trying to phase through that chest and grab that beating heart like she did before.

Paragon grabs her chest in pain, beginning to sweat before falling to her knees. "Please...Mom...don't..."

"Begging? That is so beneath you." Crimson smirks, then suddenly Paragon melts and the villain gasps in surprise, "What? AHHHHHHH!" Screaming in pain, the REAL Paragon springs her trap by hitting her mother with an electric jolt to her system with a hand held device, using super-speed to deliver it from her hiding spot before injecting her with an extremely powerful sedative and the Crimson Death's eyes roll up in the back of her head as she falls to the ground unconscious.

Paragon glances at the melted android duplicate of herself, glad her trick worked. Now to work on saving her mother but this is NOT going to be easy, but Keira has a plan. She only hopes it'll work...

Pathway to Redemption...Part 1

Keira is sitting alone in her office late at night when she suddenly feels a pain in her chest, almost as if something is squeezing her heart. She sucks in a gasp, both hands clutching her chest as she feels her heart seizing, struggling to keep beating but cannot. Suddenly she finds it hard to breathe and as the seconds tick by, Keira begins to sweat. She knows death is imminent. She knows this is cannot be something related to bad health, so it must be an attack of some kind by one of her enemies.

Out of desperation, Keira glances around but sees nothing. It's the mirror that makes her catch sight of the briefest of glimpses at spectral figure. The CEO of Hawke Industries falls out of her chair, still clutching her chest. The darkness on the edges of her vision is closing in. She is beginning to lose consciousness, it's getting harder to move but the hero thinks of a desperate plan of action. Twin beams of heat shoot out and catches her entire room on fire. She hears a scream, the pain in her chest being relieved somewhat and it's just enough for Keira to take small breath. It's all she needs before the sprinkler system turns on and she freezes the water, expanding the ice all around her.

The ice freezes her opponent enough for Keira to break away and the pain in her chest immediately goes away as she draws in gulp after gulp of air as her heart begins beating again. She turns around only to see a very painful sight. She sees the Crimson Death. This woman may not be Keira's biological mother, but she is the one that raised her. The Crimson Death was once a great hero, but died some months ago before being resurrected by a malevolent being known as Darkchild. And now the Crimson Death is a villain, using her power to cause death and destruction wherever she goes.

A tear slips down Keira's cheek, "Mom!" She cannot believe her mother has tried to kill her. The pain of that knowledge nearly breaks Keira's heart. She hates herself for this, but she must end this now. She slams a face into the ice, shattering it and knocking her mother unconscious before the woman can break free. Then Keira picks up the woman who is the only mother she has ever known, placing her in a cell deep beneath Hawke Industries Tower. She will not rest until her mother free of this evil.

The Shocking Truth Revealed!

February, 20th, 2019...

"What?!"

Even though her mother died, she has left recorded messages for her children. On this particular day, Paragon receives one. The image of Keira's mother appears on the screen and she reveals some shocking truths.

"My darling daughter and my son." Keira pauses the video. This is for them both, so she gets her brother Lucas and he comes to her office. He shuts the doors on his way in and now that both of them are here they can watch the video together.

The video starts at the beginning, "My darling daughter and my son. I left you both this recording in the event I'm no longer around. I truly sorry about that." Nora says, looking remorseful.

Nora continues, "The truth is, your not my biological son and daughter."

Both Lucas and Keira say in perfect unison, "What?!"

Nora continues, "Your biological mother divorced your father and then married me, but I helped him raise you both as if you were truly mine. Your mother's name is Lois Stark and she's a spy."

Keira and Lucas both look at each other in surprise, "A spy?!" They ask each other before looking at the recording again.

"She left to protect you both and chose to stay away because of her enemies. I believe you both are smart enough to figure out where she is. And since I know you both have powers, I think you'll be fine. Still, be careful. I love you." The recording stops and both siblings have to sit down as the revelation hits them.

Lucas and Keira were able to deduce they were half human and half alien. But this revelation destroys that idea. Now they both realize they are in fact mutants and that their biological mother is alive out there somewhere. Both determine to find her and it takes days, but two heads are better than one. Soon enough, they knock on the door to their biological mother's house. The door opens to reveal a middle aged woman who still looks like she's in her early 30's. She has brown hair and she looks at them quizzically, "Yes? May I help you?"

Both Lucas and Keira say, "Hi...Mom. Can we come in?"

Lois's eyebrows shoot up and the screen fades to black.

  • POWERS & ABILITIES

Solar Energy Absorption: Paragon's cells basically photosynthesize, much like Earth based plants. She doesn’t use the yellow Sun of the Earth precisely like a plant, but more like a photovoltaic cell. In such a cell, the Sun’s rays hit semi-conductors made of some material like silicon and their interaction releases electrons. These flowing electrons create electricity which cause her cells to function like a super battery, hyper metabolizing specific wavelengths of radiation as fuel to enable living functions and/or super-human abilities. Different wavelengths of radiation have different effects on Paragon's physiology and well being, but her cells cannot absorb or utilize all types of radiation. The wavelength of a red sun enables his body to function on an identical level of a healthy human while the Earth's solar radiation in both it’s raw and filtered state through the Earth's atmosphere acts as fuel to enable him to use all of his powers.

Every time Paragon uses any of her super-human abilities, her body expends absorbed sunlight and she is capable of utilizing any of them to various degrees through controlled circumstances. The solar-based radiation of a foreign blue star proved to increase Paragon's known abilities under a yellow sun to a higher degree and enabled additional powers. The existence and constant exposure to proven "healthy" radiation sources is not required for her to live and utilize her powers, but prolonged periods without exposure to them and/or utilizing her powers will require Paragon to recharge in order to live and continue using her powers.

Like most life forms, Paragon can also store excess energy for later use. However, the hero’s solar-powered abilities also come with drawbacks. Should Paragon over-use her super powers, without a chance to recharge, she can exhaust all of her reserve energy, becoming weakened and even vulnerable to injury. Red sunlight has a similar effect; blocking Paragon’s ability to absorb yellow sun energy and, consequently, suppressing her super-human abilities. Of course, the opposite can be true as well. In certain situations, Paragon can even choose to over-charge her cells with solar energy, granting her enhanced healing and additional abilities.

Solar Flare: In times of extreme desperation, Paragon can spontaneously release all her stored up solar energy in an explosive-like manner up to a radius of a mile. The heat of this explosion rivals the core temperature of the Sun itself and will destroy almost anything in it’s path. Since this power depletes all of Paragon’s stored up solar energy, she loses all of her super-human powers until she can recharge again. To a lesser extreme, Paragon can release a portion of her stored solar energy for a less powerful explosion. Doing this will not de-power her, but it will weaken her depending on how much stored solar energy she uses to activate this power. To a lesser extent, Paragon can make her skin heat up or even glow white hot. She has gotten to the point where she can easily cause her entire body, or a portion of it, to glow so bright as to cause temporary blindness to her enemies.

Enhanced Senses: Paragon possesses a number of enhanced senses, which include:

  • Electromagnetic Spectrum Vision: Paragon can see the entire electromagnetic spectrum. She can also see and identify radio/television and any and all broadcast/transmitted frequencies, allowing her to avoid detection through radar or satellite monitoring methods.
  • Enhanced Sense of Smell: Paragon has an enhanced sense of smell, capable of detecting scents from miles away even if the scents have been degraded over by time and weather factors.
  • Microscopic Vision: Paragon has the ability to see extremely small objects and images down to the sub atomic level or more.
  • Night Vision: Paragon can see perfectly at night, even in the absence of any, and all, light.
  • Super Hearing: Paragon has incredible hearing that can detect extreme variances of sound and pitch frequency, allowing her to pick up noises from hundreds of miles away. She has shown enough control to block out ambient sounds to focus on a specific source/frequency. Part of this is believed to be physical and part of it is believed to be psionic in nature. How else can one explain the fact Paragon can hear a sound from hundreds of miles away in an instant when sound does not travel that fast? Thus, some scientists theorize that Paragon's Super Hearing must be at least be partially clairvoyant.
  • Telescopic Vision: Paragon has the ability to focus her vision to see something at a great distance without violating the laws of physics even from light years away.
  • Thermal Vision: Paragon has the ability to see objects, or people, as blobs of heat in various degrees of temperature. She can even see the heat left behind by a warm object or person who has recently moved.
  • X-Ray Vision: Even though Paragon can ‘see through’ walls with this power, this is not true X-Ray Vision. Instead, Keira manipulates the electromagnetic radiation around an object in order to form a mental ‘image’ inside her mind, which allows her to ‘see’ through walls as if she actually had true X-Ray Vision. Since this power is passive, this ability does not generate harmful radiation in the same manner as a focused projection of hard X-rays.

Heat Vision: Paragon's heat vision allows the hero to emit stored solar energy as directed beams of focused heat through her eyes. Typically, the power is seen as two beams of red light emanating from her eyes. These beams can be made invisible, allowing her to work undetected. Paragon can also consciously determine the area affected, including down to the microscopic level. The maximum temperature of her heat vision is said to rival the surface temperature of Earth’s sun. Over the course of time, and practice, Paragon is now able to manifest Heat Energy from her hands and direct the energy where she desires.

Mutant Legacy: Paragon is a unique mutant with a rare, and mysterious, power that allows her to pass on all of her powers to any of her children should she have any. In turn, those children can empower their own with the same powers and abilities. No one knows why or how this is possible. It has even stumped Paragon herself, despite her numerous attempts to unlock the mysteries of her mutant genes.

Nigh-Invulnerability: Paragon’s body is Nigh-Invulnerable due to her super-human dense cellular and anatomical structure as well as her radiating bio-electrical aura. The solar energy she absorbs grants her an extremely dense molecular structure, including near-unbreakable cellular bonds. Though, absorbing yellow solar energy is necessary for Paragon to maintain this Nigh-Invulnerability as metabolized solar energy fuel that strengthens those near-unbreakable cellular bonds. For that reason, the Woman of Steel is resistant or invulnerable to various forms of injury on Earth, be it piercing, puncture, impact, incineration, lacerations, blunt force trauma, ballistic weaponry, energy-based assaults, bladed weaponry, falls from great heights, explosions, the cold void of space, toxins, gases and all known diseases on Earth. Paragon can also survive the blast of a nuclear warhead up to 50 megatons as well as entering the Earth's sun and emerging unharmed. If Paragon depletes her solar energy reserves, she becomes increasingly vulnerable to attack and injury as well.

  • Bio-Electric Aura: Paragon’s supercharged bio-electric "aura" acts as an invisible "force field" radiating within an inch from her skin. She can willfully utilize his aura strengthening it's power to a greater degree to provide an additional defense against certain levels of physical and energy attacks for a considerably short period of time, but doing so can endanger her should the attempted feat prove inefficient for any reason. Paragon utilizes her aura by expanding it around a person or object(s) to enable their structural stability when lifting or traveling with them. She can even extend her bio-electric aura around other people in order to protect them from gunfire and other forms of harm.
  • Tactile Telekinesis: Paragon has only been shown to possess telekinetic abilities on a few isolated occasions; however, it is largely accepted that Paragon’s store of solar energy also affords her a bio-electric aura that allows her to manipulate electromagnetic fields, an ability that has come to be known as “Tactile-Telekinesis.” Tactile-Telekinesis attempts to explain why Paragon can pick up a jetliner by the nose without the entire airplane buckling from the pull of gravity on the tail-end (for example), asserting that the hero was surrounded by a solar powered telekinetic aura that engulfed anything she touched, resulting in both physical and electromagnetic field manipulation to evenly distribute force across an object through only one point of contact.

Super Breath: Paragon can create hurricane force winds by blowing the air from her lungs. She can also breathe in large amounts of air to dispel clouds of gas by exhaling it.

  • Freeze Breath: Paragon's freeze breath might seem like an exception to her solar-powered power set; yet, super breath is actually an extension of the hero’s strength thanks to the real-life Joule–Thomson effect. The effect shows that compressed air, speedily pushed through a restricted opening rapidly reduces the overall temperature of the burst. This means Paragon, who can forcefully exhale at high velocity and pressure, could turn the burst into an arctic blast by intentionally directing the air through pursed lips.

Super-Human Physiology: Paragon's cellular structure is much more dense, resilient, and biologically more effective than human tissue. She does not possess super-human strength levels despite her enhanced cellular ability without her cellular structure charged with yellow solar energy. Without such charging, Paragon's physical capabilities are identical to a human of her height and weight who engages in regular physical activity. As a mutant, she possesses several organs whose functions are not yet disclosed or understood, but are believed to be part of, or the source of, her bio-electric force field and reclamation aura. Paragon's body also stores energy actively within her bio-cellular matrix as an energy pattern that is linked to her body's electromagnetic field. This energy powers most of her electromagnetic capabilities such as flight, heat vision and other "sight" based abilities while supplementing her physical abilities to super-human levels.

  • Accelerated Healing: Despite Paragon's Nigh-Invulnerability to injury, it is possible to hurt her. If injured, her body is capable of quickly repairing damaged tissue with much greater speed and efficiency than the normal human body. Minor cuts and bruises heal within seconds, a broken arm would heal within minutes and more extreme injuries would heal within hours or days. Paragon's ability to heal so quickly also renders her immune to all known Earthly diseases, toxins, acids, biological weapons, etc.
  • Longevity: Paragon ages much slower and lives much longer than normal human beings, so long as she continuously retains enough yellow solar radiation in her body. Precisely how long she will live is unknown.
  • Super Strength: Different periods and intensities of exposure to Earth's solar radiation can cause Paragon’s strength to fluctuate over time. She is fully capable of lifting an enormous pyramid and flying it to Mars without any strain and having the strength necessary to shatter small moons with repeated blows. Unhealthy levels of high exposure to solar radiation can exceed Paragon's "normal" strength level, however, but this rarely happens.
  • Super-Human Stamina: Paragon has the ability to maintain continuous physical actions for at least an entire day before showing signs of fatigue.
  • Self-Sustenance: Paragon does not need to eat or sleep (but is still capable of doing so) and can travel in space as well as underwater unprotected. However, she still needs to breathe and can only hold her breath for up to 3hrs at a time.

Flight: When Paragon first learned to fly, she lifted ice particles and caused them to spin before erupting into the sky, implying that she wasn't just pushing off or jumping, she's consciously using her bio-electric aura to manipulate surrounding gravitational forces (Tactile Telekinesis in practice). On another occasion, Paragon levitated debris and other items when she took off in flight indicating that when she takes off, her flight unleashes energy onto the surrounding area and objects. As a result, this is an example of a complex gravitational field manipulation that allows Paragon to outright defy gravity, hover above the ground and even lift heavy objects into the sky, all thanks to the re-purposing of solar energy.

Super-Speed, Agility & Reflexes: Paragon's speed is derived from stored solar energy, providing fuel to her inherently dense molecular structure, allowing Keira to move with super-human speed that is far in excess of the speed of sound (all without injury to herself). That energy also affords the Woman of Steel enhanced reflexes and a relative perception of time, making her a dangerous hand-to-hand combatant. This means that Paragon can quickly react to the actions of others as well as assess her environment much quicker than humans. This isn't to say that Paragon necessarily slows time or perceives normal time differently than humans by default but, at the very least, the hero is capable of heightened in-the-moment focus, allowing her to rapidly process and react to external stimuli as if the world around her was moving in slow motion.

  • SKILLS/OTHER ABILITIES

Secret Agent Training: As an Agent of Blackcat, Paragon has been trained to adapt to most situations, and opponents, in order to defeat them. Because of this training, Keira is able to make the most effective use of her powers combined with her brain and brawn to take down the more powerful enemies.

Boxing: Keira is highly skilled in the fighting style of boxing, blocking, dodging and weaving. This skill was taught to her by her father who was the former Heavyweight Champion of the World. Due to her photographic memory and the ability to train at super-speed, Keira has mastered every known boxing style, but prefers to fight as a Boxer-Puncher.

As a Boxer-Puncher, Keira possesses many of the qualities of the out-boxer; great hand speed, an outstanding jab, combination and counter-punching skills, better defense and accuracy than a slugger, while possessing slugger type power. Sometimes, depending on her opponent, Keira is also more willing to fight in an aggressive swarmer-style than an out-boxer. In general Boxer-Punchers tend to lack the mobility and defensive expertise of the pure boxer (exceptions include the Sugar Rays, Freddie Steele, and Joe Gans). However, due to her super-speed and durability, Keira is quick and mobile on her feet with a great chin that enables her to take a tremendous amount of punishment. As an added bonus, she also worked on building up great defense just in case she needed it for certain opponents. As a Boxer-Puncher, Keira usually does well against out-boxers, especially if she can match their speed and mobility. She also tends to match up well against swarmers because the extra power often discourages the swarmer's aggression. Normally, a Boxer-Punchers only downfall is the big sluggers because once again, it only takes one punch and the lights are out. However, due to Keira's power set, she has great defense, chin and mobility against sluggers. This makes her incredibly hard to put down even by the hardest hitting sluggers.

Counterpuncher: Keira trained heavily until she mastered the ability to be a highly skilled counterpuncher. This style utilizes a technique that requires the opposing boxer to make a mistake and then capitalizing on that mistake. Keira can utilize such techniques as winning a fight with the jab or psychological tactics to entice an opponent to fall into an aggressive style that will exhaust him and leave him open for counterpunches. Lone jabs of the opposing fighter that miss are often met with swift jabs or quick combinations. For these reasons this form of boxing balances defense and offense. When other tactics fail, Keira often falls back on counterpunching either when she is facing someone more skilled than she is or someone who is physically stronger.

Out-Boxer Style: Paragon usually switches to this style when facing an opponent who is shorter than her, when she is not taking the fight very seriously or when she is holding back and wants to test the limits of her opponent before switching to a more aggressive style. With this style, Keira seeks to maintain a gap from her opponent and fight with faster, longer range punches. Fighting as an Out-Boxer, Paragon is extremely quick on her feet, which often makes up for the lack of her power punching. Since Keira relies on the weaker jabs and straights (as opposed to hooks and uppercuts), she tends to win fights by slowly wearing down her opponent rather than win by knockout.

The out‐boxer tends to be most successful against the slugger, whose slow speed (both hand and foot) and poor technique make them an easy target to hit for the faster out‐fighter. The out‐boxer's main key is to stay alert, as the slugger only needs to land one good punch to finish the fight. If the out-boxer can avoid those power punches, he can often wear the brawler down with fast jabs, tiring the slugger out.

Slugger Style: When Paragon switches to this style, she tends to lack finesse, but makes up for it in raw power, often able to knock almost any opponent out with a single punch. As a slugger, Keira usually moves slowly towards her opponent. But if she's up against a faster moving enemy, she can easily close the gap with a burst of speed. With this style, Paragon usually throws harder, slower punches than swarmers and tends to ignore combination punching. Keira usually doesn't use this style very often since it has a predictable punching pattern (single punches with obvious leads) which can leave her open for counterpunching. Keira usually switches to this style when she knows she's about to win a fight and wants to put it to end by knockout.

Swarmer Style: This style favors closing inside an opponent and overwhelming them with intensity and flurries of hooks and uppercuts. As a swarmer, Paragon becomes an in-fighter who attempts to overwhelm her opponent by applying constant pressure. She also tends to have a very good bob and weave, good power, a good chin and a tremendous punch output. When Paragon makes use of this style, she tends to be fast on their feet which can make her difficult to evade for a slower fighter. Due to Paragon's Nigh-Invulnerability, she also has an iron chin which is extremely useful since this style usually involves being hit with many jabs before she can maneuver inside where she is more effective. Usually, being hit with jabs is not a problem if Paragon uses her superspeed to avoid being hit even as she slips on the inside.

When Paragon is facing a taller opponent with greater reach, she often switches to the swarmer style of boxing, especially if she's losing a fight, happens to be desperate for a win or when facing an opponent more powerful than herself. With her power set, Keira often uses superspeed to land up to a thousand punches a second, all with the punching power to destroy mountains.

Like the Boxer-Puncher, swarmers tend to succeed against out-boxers. Out‐boxers prefer a slower fight on the outside, with some distance between themselves and the opponent. The swarmer tries to close that gap and unleash furious flurries. On the inside, the out-fighter loses a lot of his combat effectiveness, because he cannot throw the hard punches. The in-fighter is generally successful in this case, due to his intensity in advancing on his opponent and his good agility, which makes him difficult to evade.

Fighting Stance: Paragon usually stands fully upright with the legs a shoulder-width apart and the rear foot a half-step in front of the lead. As a right-handed, or orthodox boxer, Keira leads with the left foot and fist (for most penetration power). Both feet are parallel and the right heel is off the ground. The lead (left) fist is held vertically about six inches in front of the face at eye level. The rear (right) fist is held beside the chin and the elbow tucked against the ribcage to protect the body. The chin is tucked into the chest to avoid punches to the jaw which commonly cause knock-outs and is often kept slightly off-center. Wrists are slightly bent to avoid damage when punching and the elbows are kept tucked in to protect the ribcage.

Business/Finance: Keira runs her own multi-billion dollar business and is an expert in the day-to-day things that requires.

Inventor & Engineer: Keira is a genius that is capable of inventing a variety of technological marvels that are way ahead of their time. Photographic Memory: Keira can remember almost any information that she comes in contact with regardless if it’s in written form, a recording, a book she reads or even a person she meets. She makes next to no effort to remember anything and it’s stuck in her mind as if it just happened. Because of this, Keira can often replay any event that she experienced in her mind with perfect clarity. Unfortunately, this also means that anything bad that happens to her is remembered just as well and any traumatizing events effect her more deeply than most. For example: If Keira suffered the loss of a loved one, the pain of that loss would be remembered for the rest of her life as if the event happened yesterday. This would result in Keira needing some form of therapy to help her cope.

Chrysonite: Maxine Maxima worked long, and many, hours inventing a weapon that could beat Superion and Paragon. When she was met with success, she called her secret weapon, Chrysonite, and it’s effect is directly poisonous to Paragon. Chrysonite, which appears as a glowing green crystal, is extremely rare and hard to find.

Chrysonite can kill Paragon because it disrupts her solar panel-like energy absorption. Without energy from the Sun, she weakens and eventually dies. The radiation from Chrysonite's radioactive materials emit radiation in the form of particles and energy. The radiation that Chrysonite gives off ionizes Paragon’s cells. By knocking electrons and atoms around in her body, this process of ionization wreaks havoc and disrupts normal cell sun-gathering. Radiation sickness can be lethal and it’s a form of it that reduces Paragon to a defeated hero.

Thanks to the Suit Paragon wears, anyone attempting to scan her body to find a weakness in order to replicate the effects of Chrysonite will be met with failure as the the Suit warps and defies any and all scans because of the constant warping field effect it emits.

Confidence: Paragon's powers are based on how confident she is in any given situation. If, for example, she believes she can lift an entire city the size of New York, then she can. If she doubts herself, then her powers weaken and she is not able to accomplish the desired feat.

Lead: Paragon cannot see through lead or lead-based substances.

Magic: Paragon is vulnerable to magic since it has been able to harm her, to varying degrees, on several occasions. However, magic doesn't seem to be able to outright kill or destroy her. This could be due to Keira's will to live since the former Sorceress Supreme, Brenna Luther, commented that Paragon's willpower is one of her greatest assets when facing magical forces.

Physical Trauma, Advanced Technology & Energy: On numerous occasions, Paragon has fallen victim to extreme physical trauma. Like any other human, it is possible for Keira to die once enough damage has been inflicted on her by beings equal to or stronger than her. Sufficiently powerful technology and high powered energy attacks have also proven to be somewhat effective against Paragon, depending on how powerful it is.

Solar Energy Dependency: Paragon’s powers will eventually weaken without replenishing her energy reserves with normal (yellow) sun radiation, especially if she doesn't have any direct contact with yellow sunlight. When exposed to the same red solar radiation as a red sun, it causes Paragon to slowly lose her powers over the course of days, depending on how often she uses her powers, until the exposure to yellow sunlight will reverse this effect.

NOTE: The technology built into Paragon's suit negates this weakness.

Ultrasonic & Similar Sound Devices: Any device, or Super power, that emits extremely loud, or powerful, sound waves can take advantage of Paragon’s super sensitive hearing and do some serious, but temperary, damage.

EQUIPMENT

Suit & Clothes: Due to the events with the President of the United States, Keira and her mother, Nora, felt it was necessary to install anti-damper technology into Paragon's suit and any civilian clothing they wear. Microcircuitry has been weaved into, and underneath, every piece of clothing Keira and Nora wear that is designed to prevent psionic dampening, draining and any other kind of power dampening or draining device and/or super power, from robbing them of their powers. Even better, the microcircuitry is so small that it is completely undetectable. One would need a special kind of device, or super ability, to not only detect the microcircuitry but also to see it. Even then, one would need to know what they are looking for in order to spot the circuitry as they can easily be missed or be mistaken to be something else, such as clothing fibers or stitching.

Another huge benefit of this wondrous technology is the fact that it changes Keira, and Nora's, biological signature so that they pass as completely normal human beings even with an in-depth biological scan from either technology or super abilities. This means that devices, or super powers, that can detect aliens, mutants or metahumans will NOT work on them because Keira and Nora will pass as completely human. Even better, Keira and Nora will still have access to their powers and are able to use them with impunity even as they pass for human by any and all scanners.

As an added defense, the microcircuitry is also immune to any, and all, EMP's and cannot be powered down by those methods. Nanotechnology has recently been integrated into the suit so that Keira can change her outfit into anything she desires. The nanotechnology can even repair her clothes should it become damaged. She can reprogram the nanotech with her Holo-Communicator Wristwatch as well.

One final benefit of Paragon's Suit is that it's capable of absorbing any, and all, ambient energy around Keira and convert it into solar energy for her to use. This enables her to operate under any condition that prevents her from absorbing solar energy from a yellow star. During dire emergencies, like when facing a planet busting opponent, the solar suit can temporarily boost Paragon's power level to match to enable her to beat her opponent. Under ordinary circumstances, she ignores this option because activating it is exceedingly dangerous and she would rather not accidentally cause the death of innocent people.

Tracer Shells: Capable of tracking and zeroing in on a target, hidden in a secret compartment on her right wrist as Paragon which she can either grab and throw or point and shoot.

Holo-Communicator Watch: Embedded on her left forearm sleeve as Paragon with hidden controls, Keira has access to a number of options . Aside from telling the time, date, month and year, this device is also capable of holographic projection of people and objects. It also acts as a two way communications device, much like a cell phone does. It can also track targets that have been tagged with a tracking device and with one touch of a button, send an SOS to any of Paragon's allies to call for help if she needs it.

Hand-held Device: Given to her by Yoshi Senju, Paragon has since stashed it away in the Heimdall Space Station in a secure safe with heavy encryption that would take even the best of hackers several hours to hack into. This device contains proof of the President's cover up of Gothic City.

HISTORY

All of Keira’s life, she has always wanted to be a Super-Hero and save lives. Unfortunately, her mother wanted her to take over the family business one day and Keira’s father would not allow her to become a boxer like him.

As a girl, Keira was fascinated with building and controlling machines. At every science fair, she always won first place and gained the attention of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) due to her brilliance. There, Keira became the undergraduate in the electrical engineering program and graduated with two master’s degrees by age 19. Keira went to work for her mother at Hawke Industries shortly afterwards and got to work inventing new technology and gadgets.

One night while walking home, a group of thugs cornered Keira and tried to rape her. That night is a night that she will never forget because it’s the night that her latent powers finally emerged. Easily taking care of the would-be rapists, Keira’s dreams of being a Super-Hero were finally coming to pass. Originally, she had planned on inventing some kind of super powered suit but this was far better. Creating a costume of her own design, Keira gave herself the name of Paragon to represent the hope of being the best she could be.

Unfortunately, being a Super-Hero was not at all what it was cracked up to be. Paragon ended up botching up her very first case and nearly got blamed for the murder of the villains she was trying to apprehend. At every turn, the media and reporters cut her down with harsh news coverage every time Paragon made a mistake. But little did she know that her worst enemy was manipulating people and events behind the scenes in an elaborate scheme to destroy Keira Hawke.

It was around a month later, and after mentoring a sidekick, that Paragon’s life seemingly hit rock bottom. In a grand display, Keira’s silent enemy finally revealed herself as Nemesis. The Super Villain had kidnapped Paragon’s sidekick and her own mother, forcing Keira to make one of the hardest decisions in her life. Two people she cared about, one life to be saved and impossible to save both. In the end, Keira ultimately chose to save her own mother and both watched in horror as Paragon’s sidekick was brutally murdered before their eyes on live TV that was being broadcast to the entire city of San Francisco. As if things couldn’t get any worse for Paragon...

The news of Paragon’s decision to save her mother (thankfully the media did not know this bit of information at the time) stirred up a hornets nest and Keira’s Super-Hero identity was ripped to shreds over the failure to save her sidekick and blaming the would be hero for being partly responsible for the death of Hawke’s poor sidekick. The police department even sent out an APB on Paragon.

As Nemesis implemented the final piece of her plan, the villain used her powers to attack Paragon who was no match for her archenemy in her current emotional state and Hawke fell in defeat. Keira awoke to find herself in an underground bunker with a floating camera recording her every move. Trying, and failing, to break the bonds that held her, Paragon listened as Nemesis explained that she put a power dampening collar around Keira’s neck that served to seriously weaken Hawke’s use of her powers. And then Paragon watched in horror as Nemesis activated a nuclear melt down of a power plant overhead by remote control. This was to be Paragon’s final failure to save a city that never wanted her.

After a grand monologue that revealed her plans not only to the city but also to Keira, Nemesis revealed that if her heart stopped the nuclear meltdown would be averted since the device controlling the countdown, and meltdown, was connected to Nemesis’s heart as part of her sick scheme. Surprisingly, Nemesis then freed Paragon from her bonds and collar. The villain challenged Paragon to kill Nemesis and if she did then she’d save the city but would be guilty of murder. If not, the city would be destroyed and Nemesis’s villainous career would begin in earnest.

Paragon would not compromise her principles and threw herself at Nemesis. The two fought a brutal fight that ended in the defeat of Nemesis. But the fight to save the city was not yet finished. Rushing to the terminal and typing as fast as her hands could possibly go, Paragon just barely managed to stop the countdown seconds before the meltdown of the nuclear power planet. The city that was watching through the lens of the floating camera breathed a collective sigh of relief.

All of a sudden, Nemesis picked herself up off the floor and pulled out a strange looking gun and fired. Keira felt searing hot pain as she screamed and fell on the floor. Too exhausted to finish her off, Nemesis stumbled outside the bunker where she made her escape. But it was short lived as she was apprehended by the police a mile or two from the bunker. Paragon herself barely escaped the bunker before the police arrived. Much to Keira’s horror, her powers were gone so she couldn’t even fly away. Barely escaping the police on foot, Paragon made her way home.

At home, Keira reflected back on the worst month she ever had in her life. Breaking down in tears over the loss of her sidekick, over everything that happened and the crucifixion by the media, Paragon was no more. Without powers, with a trashed reputation and the death of someone close to her on her conscience, Keira decided to hang up her cape and retire. The dreams of being a Super-Hero were over in the worst way imaginable.

To Keira’s utter surprise the next day after the most harrowing events to take place in her life, the morning news actually thanked Paragon for going beyond the call of duty and saving the entire city from a nuclear disaster that could have cost millions of lives. Paragon’s heroic actions and her final fight against Nemesis were all recorded on live TV because of Nemesis’s floating camera on the scene and many people were praising Keira’s heroic alter ego for being a hero. Not all the citizens of the city were convinced, however, because many still held the hero responsible for her first botched case and the death of her sidekick. But, at least the city viewed her more of a hero now than as a menace. The police even rescinded the APB on Paragon and Keira sat back in shock as she clicked off the TV. Maybe, just maybe, being a Super-Hero hadn’t been so bad after all...

It was just unfortunate that Keira’s powers were lost. But a few weeks later, a silver lining happened as Keira was able to fly again for a brief time before her power cut out on her. It seems that whatever Nemesis did to her was slowly wearing off. Perhaps Paragon would return once again. If she does, Keira vowed that her second chance at being a Super-Hero would be better than the first time.

Random Facts

  • Paragon is one of the strongest beings on the planet, but this also comes with a heavy price. Keira must constantly keep on her guard lest she accidentally crush someone's hand with a handshake or kill someone with a simple hug. The fear of that happening causes Paragon to never truly relax around others. Her brother, Superion, also has this problem. They often talk to each other about it and this helps each one deal with it in their own way. Still, it's a constant worry for them.
  • Paragon puts on a front of being a woman of virtue, honor, respect and inspiring others. Although this is true, what she doesn't show to the public is that she fears she doesn't live up to her name most of the time. She suffers from insecurities about herself and knows she isn't perfect even if the public thinks she is.
  • One of Paragon's greatest fears is becoming evil and destroying everything she has built and killing those she loves. The phrase, "Power corrupts and it corrupts absolutely" is constantly on her mind and helps keep her in check.

The Rebuilding of Hobs Bay AKA "Suicide "Slum" in Metro City

Paragon, you have failed this city. The words echo in her mind like a disease that won't let her go, but clings stubbornly in her mind until it robs her of sleep. She knows the destruction of Suicide Slum is not her fault, but she feels like it is on some level. Paragon should have taken care of Nemesis long ago and if she had, then none of this would have happened and her father might still be alive.

MaxCo Worldwide Media has never ceased tearing down Paragon, and Superion as well, as the company blames the heroes for not lifting a finger to save the lives lost in what was once Suicide Slum. While some citizens of Metro City listen, others don't. Still, Paragon and Superion's reputation as stalwart defenders has been tarnished by this tragedy, unavoidable or not. As harsh as some of the media is painting them out to be, some of it is not unjustified.

Paragon has always tried to uphold her name, to be a Paragon of Virtue and live up to her name in every possible way. After stumbling in her first attempt at being a hero, she finally seemed to have gotten the hang of it and the entire city loved and adored Paragon and her brother Superion as the city's greatest heroes. People to look up to and aspire to be like. But now that Suicide Slum is gone, there is now some doubt in everyone's mind that the heroes can protect him. If such destruction can happen to Suicide Slum, might it happen to an entire city?

Paragon cannot sleep, so she lifts the covers and changes into her suit. That night, she and her brother silently rebuild Suicide Slum. They even work well into the night when dawn finally breaks and by the time they are both done, every brick, every house, every store, every street corner, every street sign, everything is rebuilt.

The city officials debated on what to do. Should they rebuild or should they just let be since no one liked the place anyway? The debate was deadlocked and, as a result, nothing was being done. So, Paragon and Superion both decided to do something about it. But instead of calling it by it's most infamous name, Suicide Slum, the heroes decided to post signs that clearly say Welcome to Hobs Bay.

The media goes crazy over the new Hobs Bay, with some praising Paragon and Superion for taking the initiative and rebuilding a once notorious part of town. Others deride the heroes, asking if they had a right, or even permits, to rebuild such a large section of town. Legal issues aside, no one dared raise a finger to try and take these heroes to court as the Mayor of the city would not allow it, for the Mayor himself praised the heroes for a job well done. The Mayor of Metro City even takes the opportunity to give a speech to the crowd of onlookers. Renaming the area Hobs Bay signifies a change and a better future. As a result of the Mayor's backing and praise, people flock to move into the newly dubbed Hobs Bay and life slowly returns to some semblance of normalcy.

But for the heroes responsible for the reconstruction efforts of Hobs Bay, life is anything but normal. For it is here Paragon and Superion lost a father. The owner of the Ace of Clubs. And just a week ago, they both lost a mother as well. Both parents lost within months of each other and the pain was almost too great to bear. Both determine to do better this time and make sure nothing like this happens again. Paragon herself is even keeping a sharp eye on Nemesis to make sure the Cuyborg responsible for all this does not escape her imprisonment in Stryker's Island.

Eventually Paragon and Superion make a public announcement, stating that they both will remain vigilant and will not allow something like this to happen again in this city. Never again. They know some people will doubt their words and they are okay with that. Action is needed and only through action will their intent be made real. And every day, Paragon and Superion's actions as they work tirelessly to save Metro City, they will speak volumes on their vigilance. It is then that the people will be able to look up in the sky and once again believe in their heroes. To look for inspiration and aspire to be like them. Paragon and her brother have a lot of work to do to get to that point again, but they are already working every day for that goal.

It's time to believe in heroes again.

The New York Times #1 best seller by Keira Hawke: Powers Unlimited. (CVnU)

The book in question that has everyone talking, for good or ill, is Keira Hawke's new book; Powers Unlimited. For the most part, it has gotten good reviews and the book does have it's detractors. It starts with the normal Forward, Preface and everything else that is normally placed before the first chapter. Unlike a lot of authors, though, Keira kept those parts short with only a few pages per section. Then there is the table of contents.

Chapter 1: Are Mutants and Meta-Humans the same?

I cannot tell you how many times I have met someone who has confused a mutant for being a meta-human and vice versa. There seems to be a general consensus that the two groups are one and the same, two names to mean the same thing. However, I have done extensive research on this subject and I assure you the two groups are distinctly different.

A mutant, for example, is born as a mutant because of a genetic trait passed down from one, or both, of their parents. When a mutant reaches puberty, or undergoes a high amount of stress, their unique powers activate and change their lives forever, as well as those around them. To this day, no one has been able to determine why, or how, mutants gain their powers. Who is, or was, the original mutant? How long ago did they live? Why is this a genetic trait that is passed down over the generations? Who started it? Are mutants a created species or are they truly the natural step in human evolution as some scientist believe? No one seems to know the answer to any of these questions, not with any degree of certainty. But what about a Meta-Human?

Unlike a Mutant, a Meta-Human can live their entire lives without manifesting any powers whatsoever. But put that same Meta-Human through some unique circumstances, such as a freak accident, and that Meta-Human suddenly has powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men. To name a few examples: A man is working late at night with some experimental chemicals and he is struck by lightning, granting him super-speed. Another Meta-Human is bitten by a radioactive spider and gains the proportionate strength, speed and agility of a spider. Perhaps a Meta-Human invented a gamma bomb and ends up turning into a green rage monster with rippling muscles. Either way one looks at it, a Meta-Human is always the result of some kind of accident gone wrong. Usually that accident can never be repeated, but in some cases it can. Unfortunately, some people have tried to duplicate the process of becoming a Meta-Human and they may replicate the accident in every particular only to meet a tragic end.

What makes someone a Meta-Human? This is even less understood than Mutants themselves. A Meta-Human could be anyone and they wouldn't even know it unless they suffered some kind of accident gone wrong, exposed to some exotic material and suddenly they become a walking nuclear reactor. However, it is becoming increasingly clear that a Meta-Human's powers are based on the type of accident they live through and, in most cases, it's also the result of some subconscious desire they have or an abuse they have suffered.

As previously mentioned, a Meta-Human who is bitten by a radioactive spider suddenly finds themselves with the powers and abilities of a spider. This is a clear result of an accidental exposure to an experimental procedure on a spider. But what about that man caught in the explosion of a gamma bomb? That man may have perhaps suffered some form of childhood abuse and could have some suppressed anger as a result which then becomes and outward expression, which transforms him into a creature of pure rage. It is because of these unique circumstances that a Meta-Human is created.

I have heard some disturbing reports of experiments being done behind the scenes in attempts to perform controlled experiments in order to give humans any power set that is desired. Under the right conditions, I theorize that if a Meta-Human is exposed to the right circumstances, then they can essentially gain any power set they wish. But only if they survive that said experiment and once they have their powers, they are stuck with them for the rest of their lives and no further experiments can be performed. If these reports are true, I am horrified at the potential cost of human lives.

The book goes on, giving detailed pictures, theories and facts about the various research conducted by Keira Hawke. She assures the reader that her research is humane and that she has never experimented on unwilling subjects or any subject for that matter. Her research has been done simply by observing those with powers, how they get them and what the circumstances were when they gained their powers.

The book has generated a certain amount of controversy thanks to it's chapters on the various Mutant and Meta-Human Registration Acts and the Civil Wars that have resulted from attempts to control those with unregistered powers and identities. Keira tries to make a case that the registration acts have only escalated the situation instead of making it better as a civil war has resulted every time a registration act has been imposed with casualties on both sides.

The book is currently in it's 4th week as the New York Times Best seller and a lot of people are loving it. But, there are plenty who hate it and have even made Keira the target of some unsavory comments. The most surprising part of the book is statistical data, along with charts, that state very clearly that the number of humans living on planet Earth still outweigh's the number of those with special powers and abilities. However, the number is gradually shrinking. By the year 2050, humans will be outnumbered 2 to 1 by those with special powers.

Setting Things Right Conclusion (CVnU)

(OOC: Since I lost about half the players participating in this event, and my own lack of responses to it on top of all that (SO SORRY about that! >.<), I have decided to wrap this up in a blog post. To anyone who participated in this event, THANK YOU for doing so. All your posts were GREAT! And if any of you have any problems with how I decided to conclude this, or any concerns at all, please let me know and I will make an edit. If not, then I hope you enjoy the read. I tried leaving my post as ambiguous as possible in regards to the final battle with Nemesis, and even afterwards, since I cannot, and will not, control any of your characters. So, if you wanted your character to help fight Nemesis and/or help free Paragon's friends, then your character was there. If not, then your character wasn't. I tried to have it be ambiguous enough in my post to have it either which way you guys want it. If you want a specific mention of your character being in on the final battle, and what happens afterwards, just say so and I'll be more than happy to edit my post. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the read.)

After the production facilities were destroyed, Paragon had activated a signal device in her suit using a disguised algorithm that even Nemesis couldn't detect until it was too late. This led to the rescue of her friends, the Blue Ghost, Warrior Angel, Green Sentinel, Thunderstorm and Zephyr. With Superion joining his friends, Nemesis was confronted by some very angry former hostages. Any other hero that wanted in on the fight could have joined if they wanted to. As powerful as Nemesis was, as desperately as she tried to win, she was no match for the heroes who decided to fight her all at once and she was quickly defeated.

Nemesis is not the only one who is good at hacking. It may not have been in Paragon's skill set, but she knows technology and she had super-speed. So, once she used her intellect and super-speed to gain access to everyone's phone, TV set, computer screen and anything else with a screen in Metro City, Paragon addressed her city that she had chosen to protect.

But first, Paragon showed the real footage of the destruction of Suicide Slum. A segment that had been left out by Nemesis. It showed the villain using her nanotech body to transform herself into Paragon, then she proceeded to destroy Suicide Slum.

Once the video was over, which Paragon had chosen to end early, she began to speak, "Ladies and gentlemen of Metro City, this is Paragon. The video you saw is not a fake. I am not responsible for the destruction of Suicide Slum or the death of all those people. As you saw in the video, it was Nemesis. She tried to set me up. Nemesis has been beaten. She will face justice for her crimes and she will be detained. You deserved to know, which is why I am showing you this video. I know some of you might not believe it, that the video could have been edited to make it look like I'm innocent. But I know others will believe me. As for the rest, those who still have doubts, I hope that in time I can regain your trust. I know I will have to earn your trust back and I'm willing to work hard for that. This video will be given to the DSA so they can examine it. I will also turn myself in for questioning because I believe in the law and I also believe even I am not above it. Thank you." The video turned off.

Paragon does as promised, turning the video recording, the original un-edited version, over to the DSA. She also turned herself over to the DSA much to the shock and surprise of some of her friends. After a few days of being detained and questioned by the DSA, along with repeated examinations of the video Paragon had given them, the hero is deemed innocent for the crimes she was charged with and released.

In the meantime, Nemesis was in a badly damaged state, locked up in a prison cell at Stryker's Island prison. A cell specifically designed to dampen her powers and hold even her. Her left mechanical eye glowed an eerie red and she raised her head with an evil smile. She's escaped from this prison before and she will do so again. Oh yes, it was just a matter of time...

Another Devastating Loss (CVnU)

The fight was brief because Morrigan was prepared. Two women possessed the name 'the Blue Ghost', one an assassin and the other an urban myth turned hero. But only one could keep the name. Morrigan used fire, the Blue Ghost's weakness, and the hero fell. Overcome by her weakness, the hero died.

The Blaze Rider was near, however. Although he was too late to save the fallen hero, he did get in close. Close enough to use his Penance Stare on Morrigan and too late for her to use her powers to escape as she stared into those eyes. She tried in vain to turn away, but she couldn't. Every victim she had ever killed, every crime she ever committed, she saw it all from her victim's point of view. All the pain, all the hurt and all the suffering, she felt as if she were each and every one of her victims. She screamed and screamed before falling down and going into a fetal position, tears streaming down her cheeks. She's almost catatonic, lost in her own world of suffering and pain. By the time she would come back to reality, she'd find herself locked up in a cell in Stryker's island prison.

Like the Blaze Rider, Paragon is too late save her mother and it's a blow to her mind and heart. She breaks down in tears and holds her hand to her chest, collapsing on the floor in a helpless heap of emotional torment and pain as she mourns the loss of yet another parent who has died.

A funeral is held just says later for Nora Hawke, who believes she died in some kind of terrible accident and not knowing she was the heroine known as the Blue Ghost. Karah Knightfall takes the death of Nora especially hard since she had been adopted by Nora and was deeply loved for the short time they spent together. Friends, family, co-workers, as well as men and women all over the world came to Nora's funeral to bid their goodbyes and pay their respects.

When it comes time to speak, to say what she thought of her mother, Keira tries to do it. But she breaks down a third of the way through her speech and unable to finish. Her brother, Lucas Hawke, comes and finishes for her. But even he sheds a tear because of the emotional pain he is also going through.

Once the funeral is over, Keira approaches @shield-maiden and offers her some kind of holographic device. "My mother's will states that I'm to give you this." If the device is taken and the message plays, then the women, as well as Karah, will see a holographic form of Nora Hawke begin to smile and speak:

"Helena Troy, I know we never got the chance to know each other very well. If your seeing this message, it means that I'm dead. I wish it were otherwise, considering what I am leaving behind and who." It's obvious who she means by that. Poor Karah Knightfall. Nora continues, even as Karah wipes tears from her eyes, Keira hugging her close to give her adopted sister some comfort.

"Helena, there are a number of women in the world I could have entrusted this to. Ashley Knightfall who helped my daughter just recently, my daughter, Keira and even my friends in the Justice League Alliance. But I believe you should take this responsibility. Please," Nora pleads, "Take Karah as your own daughter. Adopt her, take her in and raise her. You two already have so much in common and I believe you'd be the best mother for her. You can give what no other woman on Earth can give her. So, please, as the last request of a woman who wants the best for Karah, please raise her as your own."

The hologram of Norah sheds a tear, then takes a deep breath, "Karah, my sweet Karah. You have been such a joy in my life." Her lip trembles, Nora has to wipe more tears from her eyes, Keira does as well because this is so emotional, "I am so sorry to leave you like this. But not to worry, little one. Helena will take very good care of you. Plus, you'll have Keira too. I know she'll always be there for you. And I left you Doctor Ashley Knightfall's phone number if you ever wish to see her for any reason. Be strong, Karah. I know this isn't easy, but please try and be strong. You have an inner strength that is rare to see in anyone, man or woman. I know you can get through this."

Then Nora addresses Helena again, "Helena, all you have to do is sign the adoption papers that my daughter, Keira, has with her and Karah will be yours to raise. Thank you." The hologram turns off.

(OOC: No response to this is necessary, but anyone who reads this and wants to respond to this in some capacity, then you may do so. The reason I am killing off the Blue Ghost, is because I'm not doing anything with her except NPCing her. And she's supposed to be a character of mine. So, I decided to kill her off and I'm going to re-create the character into someone else who also goes by the Blue Ghost).

My name is Alethea. It means truth. My mother hoped I would embody the truth as I grew into an adult. I did not disappoint her. To signify my stand for the truth, she gave me the Lasso of Revelation, compelling all who are held by it to tell nothing but the truth.

I once lived in a world separate from the world of man. And not just on a hidden island. I would later learn it was in an entirely different dimension, another Earth as some would say. An Earth devastated by war and monsters from other dimensions. A world where man destroyed the world in nuclear fire.

As an Amazon, I lived a peaceful life on an island away from all of what man did to their world. It was a paradise until man came and destroyed my home, killed everyone I ever loved and forced me to leave the only home I ever knew. I escaped through a portal to another Earth.

The Earth that I came to was far different than the one I knew. Here, I was no Princess. But I was, and am still, an Amazon. As Paragon, I joined the Department of Super-Human Affairs who police the world of those who possess, and misuse, the power that was given to them.

The invasion came without warning. The machines came and took control of the city. The police and DSA fought bravely, but they were outnumbered and outgunned ten to one. An image of Nemesis appears on every screen in every home, in every store, on every app, every computer, anything with a screen. She steps aside to allow the viewer to see Warrior Angel, the Blue Ghost, Green Sentinel, Thunderstorm and Zephyr all trapped within their specialized cages. Then Nemesis steps into full view as she looks at the camera, her left red eye glowing with a menacing red color, "Apex is dead, the vigilante who was revealed as nothing more than a man in a costume. Paragon, your allies think they have an advantage by freeing Superion. This is your mistake. I will show you how much of fool you really are. I have exposed you to all the world and now they see you are no better than anyone else, you aren't the hero they look up to. Metro City, see how quickly you fall by the might of my army. See how Paragon does not fly to your rescue. See how easy a hero has fallen. A criminal now, the slayer of all those victims of Suicide Slum. Look how easy the citizens of the city turned against you, Paragon. You are not a hero, your a monster wearing a red cape. Now the citizens see that. They see the truth. What does the public love more than anything else? It's when a so called hero falls. And oh how far you have fallen. Metro City, you have 24hrs to evacuate or I will kill every ally Paragon once called a friend. And Paragon, I know your listening. If you do not surrender, every friend you have will die. Starting with the Blue Ghost. Go to where everything began between us, where everything started." The screens turn off.

From her hiding spot, Paragon clenches her jaw and closes her eyes. She has no choice now, she must surrender. She just hopes the plans she has made with Superion and the new Green Sentinel will succeed.

(OOC: I thought about making this an event, but considering the last event with high powered characters sputtered out, I made it a blog post instead. Still, if enough interest is shown, I might consider turning this into an event if the people really want it).
