A lot of blather has been written about the librarian who refused a donation of books from FLOTUS( First Lady Of The United States) Melania Trump.

Opinions differ as to the reason for this refusal( the librarian cited the inclusion of Dr Seuss books which she claimed were "racist") but I think the criticism misses the point-a donation is arguably a gift and a gift can be either returned or declined! Would any of those now bloviating over this refusal have done so had Michelle Obama been the FLOTUS in question???? I think NOT!
