Veronica BishopThis story starts with an elite mercenary who went by the code name of Black-hawk. Her previous work has shaped governments and shifted whole wars which where fought underneath the veil of society. Tangled in dark webs,her life slowly began to turn into one she wanted to change as she started to realize the game of death was inescapable. As if a gift from the gods she was granted a way out when her lover had planted in her the seed of life.
Immediately she dropped everything and relocated to her hometown Brooklyn,NY to perhaps pursue a normal life. The fortune she amassed was seemingly non-existent in the life of her and her growing child because she believed in humble beginnings strengthened by discipline and skills. In a few months later her son was born and instantly she knew he was special. Her choice in names simply accentuated that fact. Falcon Bishop was her new hope.....
Over the span of 14 years Veronica molded her son in the image of a king. She handled all of his schooling in important subjects such as Philosophy,Math,Science,Literature and so forth. She trained him extensively in the martial arts and armed combat,strategy and guerrilla tactics. Falcon's mutant powers were evident when his studies became simple task for him at such a young age and h
e took to Chess and science experiments as hobbies. Things continued well until his 16th birthday. The worse day of his existence.
An assassin squad led by the estranged father of Falcon took to the streets in order to execute a new assignment given to them by Ms. Bishop's former employers. They had decided all loose ties would be severed in order to maintain the secrets they had let slip away. In a blazing hail of bullets the duo held off the assailants for a short amount of time before being overwhelmed by sheer numbers. Veronica was now dead and Falcon was slowly fading due to a bullet lodged in his head. His eyes closed with the image of his beloved mother sleeping in blood on the cold concrete.
The Paper Ronin
Gun BattleThe aftermath of the brutal massacre in the urban streets left Falcon near-death and his mother gone forever. As the paramedics attempted to keep him alive, his bullet ridden body began to undergo a major mutation due to the traumatic event causing his latent powers to surface. At the hospital surgeons tried to remove the bullet from his skull but upon contact with his blood they became paralyzed with fear and overtaken by hallucinations which crippled their minds beyond repair. Falcon would soon awake from his coma with the led removed andhis injuries fully healed,unsure of his location which seemed to be a stone temple of once-forgotten monks.
At the Brink of DeathHe was greeted by a monk who explained the reasons for his arrival into their sacred monastery,and handed him a letter which was written by his mother,only to be received upon her passing. It read: " My dear son,if you are reading this I have left you prematurely because my life has sadly caught up with me,and you have been caught in the crossfire of the darkness I've tried to shield you from. You will now be in the presence of a special group of men who will guide you to enlightenment and away from violence. I can only hope that it is peace you strive for,justice you hold in your heart,and fire you keep in your eyes. Don't avenge me,follow your own path and live free."
Mastering the LessonsTears flowed from his eyes and raged could be seen in his face. Falcon would be the instrument of his mothers vengeance against the evil that lurked in the dark places of the world he was so blind to. Looking at the monk who stood silently next to him ,he spoke calmly... "Teach me". The two retreated far into the stone halls of the candle lit temple to began the teaching of a angry young warrior. For two years he studied the secrets he was entrusted,ancient alien scrolls which explained unknown sciences and martial arts.
Under the tutelage of his teachers Falcon became a human-apex with mastery of his powers,skills,and mind he would've not been able to attain anywhere but the secluded monastery his destiny led him to. At the age of 18 he had unexpectedly completed and absorbed all lessons taught and decided to re-enter the society he never really knew to find the ones responsible for his mothers death. The Paper Ronin was born....
Enter the Dragon :
Years after obtaining the skills from the monastery he traveled back to where he had began his life as a mercenary and found that the monks where much more then he had ever thought. The League of Shadows had been prepping the young killer for his role in the new team of assassins led by a man he had only seen once before during his early years in the monastery. Falcon decided if he was to join the fabled death dealers he would need to become stronger then he was and more adept at his profession. Searching through thousands of scrolls in the Library he came across stories and manuscripts with details on a source of power found hidden deep in the jungles of Japan. He was convinced that it what was needed to bring him to a level he was satisfied with.
Student of the Dragon SageMonths of travel and navigation through the dangerous terrain and emerald forest of Japan with only a bow and arrow led Falcon to a deep chasm in the earth where the scrolls said he would find true power,but first he would have to face the Trials of Fire by way of a mystical dragon and a thousand year-old sage who would have to deem him worthy of the powers he wanted.
Searching for PowerFor five years the Sage trained Falcon in arts never before seen by human eyes and readied the young man to face the dragon,for only in defeat would it consider him as an avatar for its untapped energies. Upon completion of his long and tedious training he was ready to face the behemoth creature and claim his victory in the form of fiery fist. It took two days to accomplish and nearly cost the Ronin his life,but he defeated the sacred beast and was now filled with a vast chi that he could use with devastating affects.
Falcons' Creed :
Deadly tiesThe moniker of Paper Ronin was more then simply just a title for Falcon to go by,it's name tracing back to the times of ancient Egypt. The young man began to unravel the lineage of his name and found that his bloodline was linked to a legendary fortune-hunting family who through the generations called themselves the Paper Ronin.
Power & Abilities
Super Strength/Speed/Agility/Dexterity/Durability - Paper Ronin has perfected his body in ways thought impossible to humans. Through several genetic experiments of his own,he has learned to develop his anatomy into the perfect killing machine. His agility and dexterity is second to none.
Super Genius - Since birth he has been a highly intellectual person with a knack for solving problems. Falcon has helped in several global science endeavors for organizations and himself.He has achieved an equivalent of several Doctorates in various fields like Chemistry,Physics,Genetics,and virtually every science. Falcon has even developed,through training a way to pinpoint the weaknesses of any object or person ,plan or strategy . He prides himself on his many technological inventions and is praised by most of peers for his intellect.
Master Shinobi- Falcon was trained by elite assassins in the stone halls of the LoS. In the monastery he was fabled for his amazing abilities as a stealth master thief, expert tactician, and strength in espionage/escape artistry. Not only has he perfected the arts of ninjutsu,he has also learned extensively several martial arts not of the earthly realm. Over the years he has gathered hundreds of forgotten scrolls to further his martial arts prowess,and has mastered at least 100 hundred known styles. During his training under the Dragon Sage he developed his own style that combines several aspects of his unique powers and the use of alcohol.
Chi Manipulation - Falcon has obtained the I-ching force after completing his tutelage under the Dragon Sage and is also the first Paper Ronin with such powers. The I-Ching force grants Ronin with many abilities such as channeling the chi into a ranged weapon, such as a gun or bow, to increase its striking capabilities. Most famously he uses the chi to enhance his strikes to earth-shattering levels but other uses include: Hypnosis, Healing, Augmentation (Mental&Physical) ,and recently he has figured how to control the wind slightly with his power.
Equipment
The Paper Ronin Armor: A creation of Falcon that was produced to ensure his protection on the battle field is made up of several unique threads. It is temperature resistant, unable to be magnetically manipulated and contains vibranium to absorb kinetic energy upon. Its soles allow him to climb walls with no effort,and it has flat space gauntlets on the wrist of the armor which house his colossal arsenal of just about any type of weapon. The mask contains a highly advance filtration system and HUD display linked to his large database of basically everything on Earth and more.
Bow & Arrow: Falcon grew very fond of the Bow and Arrow during his hunt for the I-Ching scrolls and even furthered his love for it after being trained by the Dragon Sage in its use. He has now become a supreme archer and studied all various forms of the weapon to perfect his craft,his uncanny marksmanship was solidified once he watched and trained under his LoS teammate Last Arrow. His Quiver has several flat space modules that constantly produce arrows so that he never runs out.
Serenity & Love: Veronica Bishop had design these semi-auto pistols during her first mercenary tour of war-torn Africa. Her Gunsmith craftsmanship was perfect and the best in all of the world. Falcon inherited the guns after his mother's death and modified them to shoot Anti-Metal hollow points.
Sage Blade: As a gift from defeating the Trigram Dragon the Sage crafted a blade of immense strength for Falcon. Its metal is unknown and has been shown to be unbreakable.
The Grey: Paper Ronin has created a highly secret and unhackable database linked to his brain and several of his other gadgets. He has cataloged dossiers on everything on Earth,including killers,heroes,and villains.
