Traits
Super-Genius Level Intellect: With an intelligence classified as super-genius, Whitaker Arakyd is easily among the smartest in the field of mechanical engineering, able to create highly-advanced weapons of war from even crude materials, as well as hack and understand highly complex technologies not yet developed by humankind. Whitaker also possesses the uncanny skill in his ability to predict the future, his constant surveillance of the world giving him a deep understanding of what is, and the means to a highly educated guess on what is to come. He is also extremely skilled in multi-tasking, able to divide his consciousness between multiple robots, controlling them simultaneously, yet independently from one another.
Weapons Expert: As many of Arakyd Industries' products are of Whitaker's own design, he knows the various weapons and robotics systems his company produces both inside and out, possessing a deep understanding in the fields of science and engineering required to create military technologies capable of contending with those of other major companies. As such, he is also extremely skilled in their use, as well as the use of other remotely similar technologies, and often applies this in missions carried out remotely through his robots.
Expert Businessman: Whitaker is extremely well-respected in the business world, able to command people's attentions when he speaks on economic matters by virtue of the fact that he is savvy enough to have, over the years, built up one of the world's leading robotics and arms production companies worth billions of dollars in the form of Arakyd Industries from virtually nothing. He is cut-throat and ruthless in deals relating to business, and will take whatever measures necessary in order to profit. His keen habit for gambling and stock market investment, however, has led to various major losses as well as gains, to which he has responded that he 'could gamble away his entire fortune and make it back in a week's time.' His aforementioned intellect allows him considerable skill in these activities, however, and have only served to boost Whitaker's worth.
Technopath: Whitaker's deep understanding of robotics runs much deeper than their physical design. He possesses the unique ability to interface with technology, as if linking it directly to his consciousness, allowing him to control every system within. This grants him great versatility when interacting with the outside world through various robots, as he can seamlessly jump between various technologies on a whim, and command them to continue carrying out a given function subconsciously, placing him at the head of a robotic 'hive-mind' which allows him unprecedented awareness of his surroundings and near-omnipresence in urban areas, as well as the ability to multi-task as a small army of robots, rather than as an individual.
Agoraphobic: Whitaker's deep, developed fear of the outside world and the dangers it holds have led him to build a heavily fortified safe-room, nicknamed 'The Box.' He carries out and oversees any and all imports/exports to and from the box both personally upon arrival and remotely through the robots that carry out said operations, and demands constant surveillance of the outside world to make sure that no danger is approaching him to those he cares about. He can only rest comfortably under the constant protection granted by the near-impenetrable urban fortress located atop his company's headquarters, as well as the small army of Arakyd Industries robots assigned to guard him and his store.
