That's really interesting information but as a fan and maker of charts, it's really annoying designed. Why put the bios of the characters in red so far below their names on the chronology?
I dunno...I was glad to see the whole axe thing wasn't a big part of it (he seemingly just makes random magic weapons when needed). But it was clearly vastly different from his old character, and while I agree his old character is a little stiff, this is 180 degrees different. I'm not sure this is for me; it's sort of like the Silver Surfer under Slott and Allred. Clearly that book was interesting to certain audiences, and that's fine, but it was dissonant to me to read Surfer acting and talking that way. Same thing goes for Strange now. I understand the need to re-invigorate characters, and to clear out continuity to some degree, but I guess I wish they weren't going for such a ground-up reinterpretation of his character.
It's hard to say exactly what happens after Secret Wars; if essentially we get a bunch of non-616 versions of characters running around in the same universe together, or something similar. But hell, I am missing the classic 616 already.
I wish they'd take a stance a bit more like Moon Knight's last volume, which clearly left big chunks of his past history out, and did lots of new stuff, but without feeling like you had to leave the existing character 100% behind. You still felt like he was the old Moon Knight, just with selective connections to the past. This is much more like, say, Age of Apocalypse, where Doc just acts nothing like the old Doc, other than being a Sorcerer Supreme with damaged hands.
I'm sure we'll find Ronnie over in Garrick's world.
Barry's dad leaving was pretty much an impossible to believe decision for his character. What exactly would his staying around do to hinder Barry's development? After all his foster father Joe has been around as a father figure the whole time. Just stupid.
I have a hard time believing that they pretty much intentionally murdered Atom Smasher, or at least had no qualms about it afterward. After all what happened to the idea of illegally imprisoning them in the basement ? :)
This trailer isn't super-interesting to me in itself, but I do like that they're going to be playing up her powers...even though she doesn't have the cachet that DD has, it's interesting to think that she could kick his butt.
Hmm.. like the idea but the art is not sucking me in. Reminds me of some other upoming book, which one it is escapes me, that has an all-ages visual look, but isn't actually targeted that way. But, the book could be different, this is just sketches.
