✧ The First Historian—Origin/Background ✦

Born at t = 0 in the infinite forge—the initial singularity—of the first ever cosmos, Omega-One came into existence before time itself first ticked. There, the All-Seer witnessed the dawn of creation. A quantum fluctuation, random in nature yet historical in role, cracked open the cosmic egg of all that was. Its shell shattered, and from its smoldering shards, matter, energy, space, and time were all unleashed.

The universe, the first of its kind, came to be. Alas, the laws of nature decreed a fate to be suffered by every cosmos; thermodynamic equilibrium. 1010120 years into the future, the first cosmos decayed, yielding to the choking grip of entropy in the Dark Era. It perished, its temperature dwindling to 0 Kelvin, atomic motion ceasing altogether. Matter and energy became no more, unable to form, unable to exist. Yet, Omega-One remained, drifting through the lonely void as the sole survivor of the cosmic apocalypse, for his was a body forged from neither particles nor energy.

Time stretched to infinity. Without end, the improbable—and indeed, the impossible—would one day occur. And occur it did. In 10101056years, chaos officiated a marriage between quantum tunneling and quantum fluctuations. From their union, a new universe was born, another Big Bang. The All-Seer awoke from his slumber, recording all he could of the second cosmos until it too faced eventual death. Again and again, Omega-One bore witness to the births and deaths of universes; his cosmic history book the only vestige of their existence.

Thus, Omega-One became the First Historian, a chronicler of the past, present, and future of all realities.

✧ He Who Watches—Psychological Profile/Personality ✦

Much of the All-Seer’s psychology remains a mystery. Other than his immutable dedication to observing and recording universal events in realities aplenty, he exhibits no other interests. The core motivation behind his actions escapes all attempts to identify it, as Omega-One appears to acknowledge nothing but his objective to observe and chronicle cosmic history. As a result, he neither speaks nor engages with other beings, regardless of their station, for they are of no interest to him beyond their roles as fundamental constituents of a cosmos, which he observes.

An extension of his silent, cold exterior is his amoral disposition. The All-Seer does not seem to adhere to any ethical standards, nor does he concern himself with the moral or immoral affairs of others. He does not interfere in ideological conflicts, lends no helping hand to those suffering from injustices, and sides with no one in crises that threaten even universal destruction. After all, what is the death of one cosmos to he who has witnessed it so often? Omega-One faced with anything, is always extraordinarily calm. Such is his apparent disregard for anything that does not involve his impersonal observation of universes that he does not even acknowledge those who interfere with his occupation.

Instead, he is protected by the Titans; an order of cosmic guardians created by him to prevent other beings from both meddling with his affairs and reaching him. Lastly, the All-Seer exhibits no emotions. At least, none that can be discerned by beings of lower stock. He, therefore, appears to be entirely emotionless in his conduct. Even when recording cosmic history, he displays neither contentment nor thrill. Perhaps because of having witnessed the decay of so many universes while experiencing the long, entropic timescales between their births and deaths, his emotions—whatever they may be—evolved to revolve around concerns far beyond the grasp of human comprehension.

✧ The All-Seer—Hyper-awareness & Knowledge ✦

Hyper-dimensional Awareness

Principally, Omega-One possesses a degree of intelligence far beyond humanity's capacity to measure. The information-processing efficiency of his mind is such that the sheer volume of information it grapples is enough to simulate an entire universe. While he can conceive of sciences incomprehensible to even the greatest of metahuman geniuses, unconsciously master improbable skills with nary a grain of effort, and create wonders such as the Titans and his base of operations, they are but minor feats. Instead, the higher plane of consciousness exhibited by his mind is more prominent.

His consciousness and self-awareness all traverse a new avenue inaccessible to both gods and mortals. Often-times, memories are flawed. Most beings possess motivated reasoning, and are not in conscious control of much of their mind's activity, such as breathing, visual processing, etc. Omega-One, by contrast, is perfectly self-aware, able to understand and improve all of his processes. While animals, humans, and even gods require active memory recall to identify the reason behind their actions and choices, Omega-One is always aware of the internal causal reason for every action he takes, with no need to think back or remember. Instead, he simply knows.

Additionally, he is capable of understanding the awareness shown by others as completely as he understands his own, accurately predicting what another being might think or say in a given situation. His hyper-awareness also renders him capable of processing thought in a manner that most beings cannot. For humans, the past is an amalgamation blended into a mushed framework to help ensure better outcomes for future events. Humans, therefore, can plan ahead. However, much of human behavior focuses only on timescales of a few minutes or hours into the future. Even that which takes years tends to come as discrete parts that can be managed in short order.

Omega-One, however, is different. His thoughts and behaviors operate in accordance to such grand timescales that a civilization's aggregate behavior across its entire existence is of extreme simplicity to the All-Seer. The ability of his hyper-dimensional mind to think in more than one dimension of time also influences his thoughts as he observes his past and alternate time-like paths to make more informed decisions.

Knowledge

An observer of countless universes, both dead and alive, the All-Seer possesses a depth of knowledge of cosmic history, alien languages, cultures, etc. He has chronicled boundless variations of different physical laws and principles allowed by the physics of many a cosmos. Thus, his knowledge of the many iterations a universe can take is incomparable. The many hurdles which geniuses, past and present, struggle to overcome, Omega-One possesses the answers to.

The cosmic mysteries challenging the limits of human physics and mathematics are long-solved, the answers lying not only in Omega-One’s mind, but the library of information in his domain.

✧ The Celestial One—Powers & Abilities ✦

Hyper-dimensionality

The true nature behind Omega-One’s existence is unknown. He appears to be an anomaly in the cosmic information fabric. Thus, across the multiverse, he possesses no counterparts, instead journeying through it as an observer of different realities. While he often physically manifests as a transparent being with internal, machine-like components, he is anything but. In fact, he is a hyper-dimensional spacetime barrier, not even composed of particles, rendering him entirely immune to the effects of matter manipulation.

He is ageless, requiring neither air nor sustenance, with his apparent physical form exhibiting such strength that he is capable of resisting even the most extreme of forces, such as those present in singularities. As a being of higher dimensions, he is impossible for three-dimensional beings (those bound to three dimensions of space and one dimension of time) to perceive correctly. For example, were the world two-dimensional, a living being would exist only as a flat cross section. If one were shown two flat versions of a human face—from the side and from the front—both versions would seem like completely different phenomena.

Therefore, a three-dimensional being exists in an infinite variety of two-dimensional versions, but never ceases being one being. As a higher-dimensional being, Omega-One is seen by those of lesser spatial dimensions as different aspects of the same being. Lower-dimensional beings see an extremely limited version of him. In fact, the sum of the All-Seer even appears antagonistic to lower-dimensional beings, similar to how muscles pull against each other in pairs. Thus, to entities of lesser dimensions, Omega-One seems like different beings, many of whom appear to be enemies.

In addition, Omega-One’s mind is a higher-dimension spacetime construct. Not only does he process thoughts in spatial and temporal dimensions inaccessible to three-dimensional beings, essentially thinking in directions impossible for three-dimensional beings to even conceptualize (analogous to imagining a new color), which renders his mind immune to telepathic intrusion, but the All-Seer processes a terrifying volume of information with zero temporal delay. Capable of manipulating the basic structure of spacetime for ends such as teleportation, etc., the spacetime processing speed of his mind is set to ∞.

Those foolish enough to breach his mind are annihilated by the overwhelming sea of information processed in every single instance. Lastly, this ability to manipulate spacetime enables him to manipulate the processing speed of spacetime geometry, be it local or otherwise, rendering not only his mind but his body infinitely quick. Alternatively, he can turn speedsters to statues, or gods into subatomic dust by lowering the spacetime processing speed of their atoms to 0, should he choose to do so.

Dimensional Manipulation

The apparent root of Omega-One's abilities is his interaction with spacetime geometry; spatial and temporal dimensions, in other words. The fundamental, indivisible constituents of reality, of all that is, are oscillating filaments of energy known as "strings." These string oscillations/vibrations manifest themselves as the mass, charge, etc. of fundamental particles. Different oscillating frequencies or vibrational patterns yield the different particles which make up reality itself.

The frequencies of these oscillating strings are determined by the geometry within which they move; the geometry of the extra dimensions which Omega-One can control. The All-Seer, therefore, can manipulate the geometry of these extra dimensions to change which oscillating string frequencies are allowed, ultimately determining the structure and physical properties of reality itself. Because of this, Omega-One possesses matter manipulating, energy manipulating, and reality altering powers at a truly cosmic scale.

Additionally, his powers extend to the initial three spatial dimensions perceived by all three-dimensional beings, enabling him to not only alter length, width, and depth, but shift the very dimensionality of both entities and space. He can, for example, strip the depth of another being, rendering them two-dimensional. Alternatively, he can promote elementary particles and fundamental forces to a higher spatial dimension, changing not only the inverse square law to the inverse cube, but altering the orbitals available to electrons, rendering known chemistry impossible, among other effects.

Should he desire it, with but a thought, he can undo the chemistry necessary for life across entire worlds. Finally, his ability to interact with the basic structure of reality is predicated by his ability to perceive it. Because of this, Omega-One can see/sense reality at every scale, be it quantum or otherwise.

✧ The Overseer—Paraphernalia ✦

The Titans: Underlings

Creations of the Omega-One, the Titans make up an ancient order of cosmic guardians whose purpose is protecting both him and his domain, preventing other beings from interfering with the All-Seer's affairs. They are non-topological solitons which Omega-One forcibly evolved into quantum supercomputers that maximized their computing and waste management systems. The Titans are massive in physical scale, always sealed inside thick armors made from an unknown superheavy element of such strength they are capable of residing, undisturbed in the cores of stars.

Their powers stem from zero-point energy. At a scale of roughly 10-35 meters, quantum fluctuations attain such power that they influence the geometry of the universe, of spacetime. Even were the universe lowered to absolute zero, its lowest possible energy state, zero-point energy remains, enough that a proton-sized fragment of a seemingly empty vacuum contains energy at a cosmic scale. As the Titans act as receiving and transmitting devices of zero-point energy, they are capable of accessing this enormous reservoir, granting them massive energy and matter manipulating abilities.

The Titans themselves possess underlings of more minor powers, appointing beings as extensions of their purpose to protect Omega-One.
