I'd find it horribly hilarious if DC was to stubborn to fork over the cash for Supes, and the character was auctioned. And then bought by some company in like, China. I may not be to fond of Supes, but a DC without him would be like Marvel without Mutants. But, DC/Warner seemed to of shot themselves in the foot on this one...
Notice how that was the only fight they made where the opponents never actualy "faced off"? The lion got the first hit, where as every other fight they did, the opponents square off face to face. Rigged.
Yes, it would protect it from having it's throat punctured, however, the tigers jaws exert alot more pressure then a lions. They'd clamp on like a vice and choke it to death, not to mention the lions claws would be tearing it apart the entire time.
Grizzly. They have size, weight, and natural weapons on their side. Not to mention adult grizzlies reguarly have to tabgle with other adult bears, but theres not to many things around the gorilla that will go toe to toe with it. Gorilla can do alot of damage, but the bears just got it out muscled.
Tiger. It's bigger, heavier and has longer fangs then a lion by a significant amount. Plus it takes down prey the same size lions do all by itself. And a lions mane would be no salvation, because it would still be able to suffocate it through it without it's fangs piercing it's neck.
Strange. Last I checked, Doomsday had no immunities or resistances to Magic. Strange could do anything from make him think he was a 6 year old girl, to turning him inside out and backwards.
