Enigma knew he had tailed the other Octagon Heroes for a good reason. After the group had been dispatched to the city, Enigma had incapacitated the newer recruit known as hybrid and gone along in the guise of Hybrid. While Freak was focusing his lens on the mysterious man on the bench, who Enigma had discovered to be known as Sephirim, Enigma was making his way to the park bench. Flitting in and out of bullet time, Enigma appeared to be instantaneously teleporting between multiple areas, covering a large amount of space in a minimal amount of time.
As Enigma neared the man, he picked up on the thoughts of a few more people. He knew that Freak had engaged Sephirim, and knew that PRIMA and Mistress were prepared to mobilize, but now had discovered that another mind, one of Asgardian origins, was fast approaching, with the intent of aiding Sephirim however he may need it.
I'd best intercept this one... Enigma thought to himself as he quickly 'shifted into the convenient shape of a barren and diseased tree. In the same manner as he normally would, Enigma began flipping through some of the Asgardian's most recent thoughts as if they were in the index of an encyclopedia. As the Asgardian neared Enigma, he began using his mental abilities to plant suggestions in the newcomer's mind using the knowledge he had acquired. Sephirim has already returned to the headquarters. Everyone is awaiting you... Enigma hoped that his mental manipulation would succeed in diverting the Asgardian at least long enough for the others to finish Sephirim, but, as always, he was prepared for the worst with the typical telekinetic force field surrounding his own tree body.
