Age of Apokolips: Reconquest

Ideas I have for a crossover event that would take place in a Marvel + DC shared universe. The main premise is this: wanting to get rid of the Earth's most powerful heroes and take over the world some of the most ruthless and powerful villains on Earth ask for Darkseid's help. First they attack the Justice League Watchtower when most of the Justice League and the Avengers are having a meeting, seemingly killing all of them. The next step consists on Brainiac sending a psychic wave to Earth's atmosphere, putting in a coma all the telepaths that live on Earth, including Professor Xavier, Jean Grey and Emma Frost. After an apparently successful invasion the remaining heroes gather for the counterattack.

  • After his ward Bruce Wayne was seemingly killed in the attack at the Justice League Watchtower Dick Grayson took the mantle as the new Batman. With that new identity Dick fought to defend Gotham City from the invading forces. Although he didn't completely succeeded, with several parts of the city taken over by Batman's foes, Dick still fights to keep the unconquered parts that way.

  • The former Batgirl's skills as Oracle were always useful, but they got plenty of new chances to still prove their usefulness when a part of Gotham remained unconquered by Darkseid's forces even after the invasion, with that part of the city quickly becoming a sanctuary for heroes not only to take refuge, but also create alliances and plot to overthrow the new world order.

  • After Dick Grayson took the mantle of Batman in the aftermath of the Justice League Watchtower's attack, in which Bruce Wayne was seemingly killed by Darkseid's forces, Jason adopted the mantle of Nightwing, taking a slightly different approach: While Dick focused on defending that parts of Gotham City that still wasn't taken over by the villains, Jason created a new Outsiders team whose goal was to enter in the villain's domains and overthrow them.

  • When the invasion happened Roy and his daughter Lian fled to Gotham, were they found refuge in the part of the city that remained unconquered. When Jason announced he was creating a new Outsiders team to attack the parts of the city taken over by the villains and destroy the new overlords, Roy voluntereed to join in.

  • Following his friend Negasonic Teenage Warhead's advise Wade Wilson fled to a part of Gotham City that wasn't taken over by Darkseid's forces. Later Negasonic and him joined Nightwing's new Outsiders team, fighting to free the parts of Gotham that became villains' domains.

  • Already accostumed to her precognitions being ignored by almost anyone, Ellie Phimister wasn't surprised when the invasion happened and caught most heroes off-guard, taking into account almost no one listened to her when she tried to warn them. Her friend Deadpool was one of the selected few who listened to her, and thanks to Ellie's visions they fled to a part of Gotham City that wasn't taken over. Later they joined Nightwing's new Outsiders team, with Ellie using her mutant abilities to help the team succeed on their missions, but soon the Joker found out about Ellie's powers and kidnapped her to use those powers to his own benefit.

  • Member of Nightwing's (Jason Todd) new Outsiders team, during her time in the team she befriends Negasonic Teenage Warhead.

  • The self-proclaimed Clown Prince of Crime was one of the many villains that allied with Darkseid and as a result he got a domain after the invasion's success. But the Joker never liked that he didn't got Gotham City as a whole as his domain, so he soon started to plot to conquer those parts of Gotham that remain unconquered, as well as to rule the other domains. His plans started to get frustrated when Nightwing's new Outlaws team started to free the parts of Gotham that were taken over, but as soon as he discovered that the team had a precognitive mutant that helped to the team's success, the Joker decided to kidnap the mutant Negasonic Teenage Warhead to exploit her abilities for his own gain and benefit.

  • Like the others villains who sided with Darkside he got a domain, but his lasted the least when he became the first villain that Nightwing's new Outsiders team successfully overthrew thanks to Deadpool's and Negasonic Teenage Warhead's help before they officially joined the team.

  • The second villain that Nightwing's Outsiders overthrew, he was the first to noticed the team's success was mostly owned to Negasonic Teenage Warhead, so before he was killed he wrote a riddle to warn the other villains, a riddle that only the Joker was able to solve.

  • Unlike the rest of the Avengers' active team at the time he didn't go to the Justice League Watchtower when it was attacked by Darkseid's forces, making him one of the few surviving Avengers left on Earth. Clint decided to gather a new Avengers team to fight against the new world domain. After defeating the Masters of Evil when they attacked Poison Ivy's sanctuary, the next step was overthrowing Baron Zemo.

  • Because he didn't go to the Justice League Watchtower the day it was attacked by Darkseid's forces like most of his teammates, Ray became of of the few remaining Justice League members on Earth. Hawkeye, who was in a similar situation, recruited him for the new Avengers team, and his shrinking powers proved to be valuable to overthrow Zemo.

  • Recruited by Hawkeye to his new Avengers team, Remy LeBeau's mutant abilities were key to defeat Zemo.

  • During the invasion Melissa Gold joined the side of Darkside's forces hoping to survive, becoming one of Baron Zemo's henchmen. Soon she regretted her decision, and when giving the option to betray Zemo and join Hawkeye's new Avengers team, she didn't hesitate.

  • During the invasion Booster Gold tried to stop Baron Zemo with the help of his friend Ted Kord. As a result both of the heroes ended up captured, but they were rescued by Hawkeye and Atom before they were executed. After that they joined the new Avengers team.

  • During the invasion he followed his friend Booster Gold's plan to stop zero, which only got the both of them captured. Luckily they were rescued by Hawkeye and the Atom with Songbird's help, who chose to betray Zemo. After that they joined the new Avengers team.

  • During the invasion Patsy Walker was captured and locked in Two-Face's fortress. After being released in an attack to the fortress lead by X-Woman Psylocke Patsy accepted Hawkeye's offer to join his new Avengers team.

  • Unlike other villains Ivy decided not to take part of Darkseid's plan to conquer Earth. Instead she decided to use her powers to create a jungle that would be a sanctuary for everyone who wishes to take refugee. Initially Poison Ivy's haven reamins untouched, until Baron Zemo, noticing how many people is seeking refuge there, sends the Masters of Evil, lead by Grim Reaper, to attack. Fortunately Ivy manages to defeat the Masters of Evil with the help of a new Avengers team recruited by Hawkeye, and as retribution for what Zemo did she teams up with them to overthrow Zemo.

  • When Rachel Leighton found out about Captain America's apparent death when Darkseid's forces attacked the Justice League Watchtower she was devasted. After the invasion she seeked refuge in Poison Ivy's sanctuary, but any hopes of finding peace were shattered when not only the Masters of Evil attacked the safe haven, but because her brother Cutthroat was part of the team. Considering it a wake up call Rachel officially joined Hawkeye's new Avengers team and help defeat Baron Zemo, who was behind the attack.

  • Instead of joining most villains in their plot to conquer Earth with Darkseid's help Harley decided to be one of the first persons to seek refugee in the jungle created by Poison Ivy. She took part of the defense of Ivy's sanctuary when it was attacked by the Masters of Evil, and later asisted the Avengers to overthrow Baron Zemo as retribution for being behind the attack.

  • Waylon Jones and his girlfriend June Moon decided to take refugee in Poison Ivy''s sanctuary after the invasion, and although they were happy there, the Masters of Evil's attack was for them a wake-up call that remaining neutral wasn't an option, so Waylon helped the Avengers overthrow Baron Zemo while his girlfriend was busy helping Doctor Strange.

  • He initially allied himself with Darkseid hoping to get a domain like other villains did, but as soon as he saw that he wasn't getting any he fled to Poison Ivy's jungle after a failed attempt to overthrow Magneto. When he found out that the Avengers were planning to overthrow Baron Zemo, he decided to help them, hoping he could become the new ruler of Zemo's domain, but before the Avengers soon learned his true intentions and stopped him in time.

  • Unlike other villains he chose to remian neutral and seek refugee in Poison Ivy's jungle. After the Masters of Evil's attack he offered himself as volunteer to go to Baron Zemo's domain posing as Grim Reaper, who was killed during battle, as a way to get closer to Zemo and defeat him more easily.

  • As another one of the villains who allied with Darkseid, he received a domain after the invasion was successful, but soon he started to worry when he noticed how many people were fleeing for his domain to Poison Ivy's jungle she created with her powers. To stop the massive migrations Zemo sent the Masters of Evil, lead by Grim Reaper, to attack the jungle, but the only thing he got in the end was helping more villains to help the Avengers overthrow him as retribuition for the attack.

  • Baron Zemo's right hand ruling the domain Darkseid gave Zemo, Karla Sofen wanted a domain for herself. Seeing the attack at Poison Ivy's sanctuary as the suicidal mission it truly was, Karla convinced Grim Reaper to offer himself as volunteer to be the field leader. When Karla found out Poison Ivy and several friends allied themselves with the Avengers to overthrow Zemo she made sure to made their job easier, hoping that with Zemo out of the way she'd have the domain for herself. But her former mate Songbird, who already suspected Karla's true intentions, made sure to prevent it.

  • The Masters of Evil's field leader when they were sent to attack Poison Ivy's jungle as a measure to stop the people fleeing from Baron Zemo's domain. Killed by Harley Quinn during the battle.

  • Daniel Leighton was pretty happy when Darkseid helped Earth's villains take over the planet, and willingly joined Baron Zemo's new Masters of Evil after Zemo was given a domain. When Daniel learned that his sister Rachel was among the people who fled to Poison Ivy's jungle he offered himself as volunteer to attack Ivy's safe haven, but the only things he got were giving her sister the motivation to join Hawkeye's new Avengers team and being killed by Poison Ivy.

  • Unlike most of her Justice League teammates Dinah Lance stayed on Earth the day the Justice League watchtower was attacked, making her one of the few surviving members of the Justice League on the planet. During the invasion was captured and kept as a prisoner in Two-Face's fortress, but she was later released when the fortress was attacked. With several of the released heroines as well as the heroines that released them she created a new Birds of Prey team.

  • Unlike most telepaths Psylocke wasn't affected by Brainiac's psychic wave because she was in an alternate reality when it happened, although its effects were dtrong enough to make Betsy noticed something was wrong. When she came back to her reality she ended up in what became Two-Face's domain. The Batman foe sent the assassin Cheshire to kill her and Rachel Summers, another telepath who wasn't affected by Brainiac's wave, but not only did Betsy and Rachel manage to survive, they used their powers to gather valuable information to rescue their friend Black Canary and later create a new Birds of Prey team.

  • Like her friend Psylocke Rachel wasn't affected by Brainiac's psychic wave because she was in an alternate reality at the time. When they returned they ended up in what had become Two-Face's domain. Although they tried to keep a low profile to not catch the villains attention, Two-Face ended up finding out and sending assassin Cheshire to deal with them. The two mutants easily defeated Cheshire, and after helping release other female heroes that Two-Face had as prisoners Rachel decided instead of joining the new Birds of Prey team to go to the Muir Island to look after her comatose mother, who wasn't as lucky as her, and tried to revive her.

  • After finding out her teammates Psylocke and Rachel Grey were still alive and well, Rogue joined them in the assault to Two-Face's fortress to release the female heroes the villain kept as prisoners. After it she joined the new Birds of Prey team.

  • Like most villains from Earth Harvey Dent sided with Darkseid and got a domain as a result. When he discovered that to telepathic members of the X-Men were in his domain active despite the fact that Brainiac's psychic wave supposedly put in a coma all psychich heroes, Two-Face sent the most lethal assassin on his domain, Cheshire, to get rid of them. But that backfired, with the two mutants not only defeating Cheshire, but learning of the plenty of female heroes that Two-Face had as prisoners on his fortress, resulting in the two X-Ladies recruiting other friends to assault the fortress and release the prisoners, resulting in the loss of his domain.

  • When Two-Face discovered that the psychic mutants Psylocke and Rachel Summers appeared still conscious on his domain he sent the assassin Cheshire to kill them, but the two telepaths defeated Cheshire and learned that other female heroes like Black Canary were Two Face's prisoners.

  • Accepted Two-Face's offer for him and the Reavers to become his guards, when Donald Pierce found out two mutants were wandering free around Two-Face's domain he requested to be sent himself to deal with them. Despite his previous experience Two-Face chose to send Cheshire instead.

  • After losing most of his teammates and friends during the invasion, the first thing Tim did once he recovered of his wounds was to create a new Teen Titans team with the teen superheroes that took refuge in the unconquered parts of Gotham. In their first mission they went to the Savage Land, that had become Magneto's domain, thinking he might have been the one who kidnapped Wiccan, but there they discovered it was Red Skull instead. Despite not completely trusting him, Tim decided to accept Magneto's help to attack Red Skull's domain and rescue Wiccan.

  • When the invasion happened Dorrek wasn't on Earth, but when he learned about what happened he went to Earth to know if his friends were alive and to asist them in however they'd need. Believing his boyfriend Wiccan was locked in the Savage Land by Magneto he joined Tim Drake's new Teen Titans team, but when they went to Magneto's domain they discovered they were mistaken, it was actually Red Skull the one who was behind Wiccan's disappearance.

  • When the Justice League Watchtower was attacked Kamala lost Carol Danvers, one of her mentor figures. As many of the surviving heroes that weren't captured during the invasion Kamala took refuge in Gotham City, where she was recruited by Tim Drake for a new Teen Titans team.

  • The Master of Magnetism agreed to side with Darkseid when he learned about his plans to conquer Earth, with the hope he'd get a domain where mutants could be safe. He was given the Savage Land as his domain, where every mutant who wanted was welcomed. When the Teen Titans attacked his domain believing he had kidnapped his grandson Wiccan, Magneto convinced them with the help of his grandson Speed that it was the Red Skull who kidnapped Billy, not him. Wanting to save his grandson and put Red Skull in his place Magneto helped the Teen Titans in their attack to Red Skull's domain.

  • When the invasion happened, Tommy was rescued by his grandfather Magneto, who invited him to live in his domain, located in the Savage Land, promising to kept him away from other villains. When the Teen Titans attacked the Savage Land believing it was Magneto the one who kidnapped Tommy's brother, Tommy helped them understand it was the Red Skull the villain who kidnapped Billy. Wanting to save his brother Tommy joined the new Teen Titans team.

  • As a result of siding with Darkseid during the invasion Red Skull got a domain to rule. To expand it Red Skull kidnapped the young mutant Wiccan to use the boy's warping reality powers to his benefit, framing Magneto. Despite that the Teen Titans found the truth and attacked Red Skull's domain with Magneto's help.

  • One of the heroes captured during the invasion, Billy ended up in Red Skull's domain, with the Captain America's foe planning to use the young mutant's reality powers to expand his domain. Luckily for Billy the new Teen Titans team, that included his boyfriend Hulkling and his twin brother Speed, was looking for him, with the help of Wiccan's grandfather Magneto nonetheless.

  • Presumably killed during the invasion, the X-Men foe Ahab judged Superboy to be a valuable Hound, so he turned him into one. Completely brainwashed Kon acted like a superpowerful brainless goon for Ahab in Red Skull's domain until the Teen Titans, looking for Wiccan, attacked Red Skull's domain. After a fight against Tim Drake his friend helped the Kryptonian clone come to his senses and break free from Ahab's control.

  • Loyal to her father the Red Skull Sin became her father's right-hand ruling the domain, being completely loyal to him. When the Teen Titans attacked her father's domain looking for Wiccan she was killed in a fight against Magneto.

  • Like many villains Rory Campbell sided with Darkseid during the invasion. Although he didn't get a domain, he quickly became a valuable member of Red Skull's administration because Rory brainwashed mutant and other superpowered individuals, including Conner Kent, to turn them into Hounds, superpowerful goons to subject Red Skull's domain to his reign of terror.

  • Because of his cybernetic body Red Skull chose Arnim Zola to be the mole in Utron's domain, with the hopes to find out so project the robot was working on that Zola could steal to later use for Red Skull's beneft. That way he discovered Ultron's and Nimrod's project to create a newer, deadlier model of Sentinel. After the fall of Ultron Zola started to build those Sentinels, but they were destroyed by Magneto when the Teen Titans were looking for Wiccan.

  • Hoping to get domains Fabian was foolish enough to side with Darkseid during the invasion, to end up as barely anything beyond Red Skull's slave, using his mutant abilities to enhance Wiccan's reality warping powers. The instant he learned about Magento attacking Red Skull's domain to rescue Wiccan Fabian was clever enough to betray Red Skull in an attempt to have at least his life spared by Magneto. It worked, but Magneto knew better and the first thing he did was locked him in a prison in the Savage Land.

  • Angela Hawkins sided with Darkseid during the invasion, and after it Red Skull chose her because of her powers to torture his prisoners.

  • Like most of villains on Earth Ultron sided with Darkseid during the invasion, getting a domain as a result. Ultron used his domain to develop alongside Nimrod a new type of Sentinel that would wipe out any form of organic life from Earth, but before he could fully develop it Ultron's whole domain was affected by Wiccan's reality warping powers enhanced by Fabian Cortez, turning him into a target easily defeated by the Red Skull.

  • When Darkseid divided the world in domains, giving one to each villain he judged worthy, Nimrod didn't get one, but Ultron, another artificial intelligence with the obsession to wipe out organic life from Earth invited him to his domain to develop a new type of Sentinal, more lethal than any previous version, but before they could develop their model Nimrod and Ultron were easily defeated by the Red Skull thanks to Wiccan's reality warping powers enhanced by Fabian Cortez.
