For sure, when the continue Legends (most likely after ep 9 releases) I seriously hope they remove TCW from the EU, it had no place.

@spambot: Without a doubt George capitalized off Star Wars, he is a genius for doing so. BUT he did not want to monopolize the children entertainment market. And he very much cared for the story of Star Wars up until around 2010-ish.

@wolfrazer: I would disagree, the EU was very well thought out, and had little contradictions and when it did, the creatives and Leland would make a small retcon to fix everything.

@jonez_: How am I a broken record I seem to be the only one with this mindset, and you want real criticism? Ok. When George Lucas made star wars, he took risks. Above all else George Lucas was a risktaker in terms of film. When disney acquired the assets, they took a large and expansive universe cropped about 85% of that universe, with absolute no regard. Then they made the safest possible film, using familiar visual ques, similar plot points/structure. And made a film to make cash, not to build off of a story. Rogue One had good action but is weighed down by the fact that a million people are overseeing the project all with conflicting views, and the re shoots are very noticeable in the film, There is also little to no character building/arcs.

Star Wars will be milked by a complete monopoly until nobody is paying for it (which sadly will be long and painful).

If you ever had reservations thinking that Disney is a wholesome company or that they cared about the Story of Star Wars then you're 100% wrong.

I just had a really long conversation with some guy on twitch about Canon and legends. I was explaining to him how The Clone Wars (2008) completely boned the EU due to the idiot creator responsible. And it spiraled into him just repeating that the EU was a mess full of contradictions, even though i would provide him with actual evidence that it wasn't, and he wouldn't buy in. It was pretty frustrating, and honestly made no sense to me how people can think like this. It actually seems exactly how the Jedi Purge went, at first the general populace knew about the Jedi with relative good intention behind their name, but after they fell a rumor spread like disease that they were actual evil freaks, that worshipped a evil spirit. And all the people who knew otherwise were shunned by the HUMONGOUS and overwhelming hive mind of general people.

But honestly it's just mind boggling how someone could still think like this. If this plays out like the movies (god willing) then it won't be in the hands of disney for more then 19 years, and Lucasfilm will be restored to its former glory (a man can dream).

@kingcurry30: Basically I've stated that as long as it's a species from the Star Wars universe. I'm not active on Comic Vine anymore (work, driving, school) but I think if this can give other people enjoyment why not bump it :P
