@rajjar:

Yeah the star was always there but it was not active. The place was frozen before activation so it was likely extremely cold.

Those are random particles of different color we only saw the star to be whiteish yellow,

Output/energy release of a star depends on surface temperature^4 and the surface area. A neutron star is already a remnant from the core of a dead star anyway.

I thought it was literal. If not we have even less quantifiable heat resistance feats for the MCU. You might be right.

Again those are the colors of some random space particles not the star itself. IIRC VFX team even calls them dyson particles or something.

Idk how the machine works. The purple plasma part makes me think it uses an unusual method to take energy from the star.

This thread has disgusting amounts of wank for both Thor and Superman. Do people seriously think either of them is far above mountain level?

@rajjar: 1- It might indeed be a real neutron star but its too small, around 3 km (real ones have 16-20 km diameter) if i scaled it correctly. Even if it was a real star that would not give us any clue about its temperature or output as the temperature of Neutron stars change with their age since they no longer have fusion happening inside their core. And since it was completely frozen and reactivated this makes guessing its temperature based on a normal neutron star impossible.

2- Normally we could get a good idea of its temperature by its color. Its color suggests its between 5000-6600 Kelvin. Going by the high-end of 6600K and assuming the machine uses all of the output of the star %100 on the beam directed to the forge and lasted 3(few) minutes this would mean Thor took ~300TJ or ~70 kilotons in total. Most impressive heat resistance in the MCU but it seems a little too impressice compared to the ~500 Gigawatts (enough to light up a continent) of the IG Snap which is dangerous for all MCU heroes. Thor should be able to casually do rapid-fire snaps if he were this durable.

3- VFX team says the machine activates a purple plasma. This can't be natural plasma of the Neutron star that releases thermal radiation. Purple is not a possible color of Black Body (thermal) radiation. It can only be artificial. So the machine likely doesn't use the stars heat directly but uses its gravity or pressure to cause artificial fusion or something like it.

@jashro44: IIRC ONE said Orochi was in the manga to injure and weaken tatsumaki. I don’t think he is dead yet. Its best to wait for a few more chapters. Or he just changed his mind idk.

@apex_pretador: He stopped Cull Obsidian twice. And even in the same scene Cull could just walk through buildings and break a large concrete/rock statue and match Mk L iron man. Are russos really inconsistent enough to show the power of a character spiderman overpowers in the exact same scene and just still have spiderman be at a few levels below?

@apex_pretador: Then why is he constantly portrayed as a high tier in IW and EG ? I think he might have gotten stronger. Or its just the Russo-Force at work.
