The Warp and The Force exist in all rounds. Both fighters have standard equipment and are in character.

From the ivory tower sure. Superheroes should be fun though. Even other comics that get cited by normies as "meaningful" are more entertaining than Watchmen. DKR is my go to example.

I think Hulk has much better action sequences. Hulk also has more of a human side to it with Bruce's relationship with Betty and his tortured psyche.

Palpatine would probably take it upon himself to stamp out the cults since he can't have others acquiring power that rivals or surpasses his.

The issue is that Palpatine promoted a culture where Imperial officials would constantly jockey for power and influence. Imperial commanders would see the kind of power that Chaos can give and they would come to crave it. Tzeentch would probably bring Thrawn into the fold since he is similar to Magnus in that he is highly learned and extremely confident in his ability to control the situation.

Ultimately I don't think the Empire's command structure is well-suited to combatting Chaos (what society is?) and the people at large would be looking for an avenue to oppose Palpatine's rule.

Maxima is seeking out a worthy mate and decides that a Primarch would be perfect for her. She eventually decides that Roboute Guilliman is her favorite (she consulted with Matt Ward.) Word reaches Macragge that a foul xeno is going to attempt to mate with one of the Emperor's sons. Unacceptable.

Roboute has basic information on Maxima and prepare to combat her. He gathers some of his finest battle brothers to aid him.

X30 tactical marines (Heavy Bolters)

X20 assault marines (jump packs, chainswords

X10 company veterans in terminator armor with powerfists

X1 Librarius with a psychic hood and a force sword.

Roboute has his regular armor along with his Gladius and Powerfist.

That battle begins in an evacuated Magna Macragge Civitas.

Maxima will attempt to seduce Roboute and then take him by force.

I agree that you can't repeat the same stories again and again but my issue is with the status quo as it exists. It would be one thing if it was just Peter who was on the social upswing but it's everybody.
