@owie: They did that with smoking PSA, as Luke Cage's look had evolved and to make it more engaging to kids. I'm saying they did NOT do that with the sexual abuse pieces. Spider-Man recalls Skip in the middle of a fight with Hobgoblin and there is a footnote to the previous piece.

@owie: Unlike the anti-smoking thing, the 1987 comic was not a retelling of the original story, but a completely new one which recollects the 1984 piece. There is no implication that Roderick Kingsley was a child molester (though his twin brother did seem awfully submissive).

@kingares109: And now you know why Jim Mooney wasn't picked to do art chores for New Mutants. The emphasis that the story puts on Skip coming from a single-parent household seems kind of inappropriate. The narrative says he had more opportunities for bad touch because he was frequently home alone. So, in 1984, one was more likely to have inappropriate contact with children if his or her parents were divorced. Nice, Marvel.

Turns out you don't have to be a woman for WWE creative/booking to piss on you. But then, main events (just like the Diva matches) have degenerated into variations on the same six-man tag team match for several months now; the tag team titles started to gain some prestige for the first time in over a decade, but that's starting to deteriorate into mediocrity, and talent is being passed over for wrestlers who drew ten years ago. I have to confess surprise that CM Punk walked, even with awareness of the WrestleMania XXIX backstage screw-job. Maybe he'll go to TNA and clean up the damage Hulk Hogan left in his wake?

Comic books started as a medium marketed for children, so I can appreciate not wanting to alienate young Viners or their parents. However, there are images from mature reader comics and issues of sexuality, graphic violence, and language that fans should be free to discuss; are forums designated as "adults only" or for mature conversation a logistic possibility?
