I want to thank yall for answering a question of mine a while back and I have few more for yall to chew on. If you had to design a comic book writers Mt. Rushmore who would have their face etched into the side of a mountain for our posterity? Mine would include Hickman, Moore, Snyder and Vaughn. I recently purchased some Swamp Thing trades written by Moore, Snyder and Vaughn because I wanted to see how each of these writers approached the character(s) and what direction they took with their stories while being tethered to a DC character and world. Who do you think has written Swamp Thing best? After getting to see some of my favorite writers all take a crack at Swamp Thing, a book I had previously never given a second, I got to thinking about how books' creative teams come and go. I started reading comics just over a year ago, my first comic being Scott Snyder's Batman which has remained one of my favorite books. While I would be happy to hear that Snyder has signed a lifetime contract with DC writing Batman I realize that sooner or later there will come a day when some poor soul will be called upon to take the reigns. My final question is who would you most like to see take over Batman when Snyder leaves? In my dream world it would be Hickman because, to the best of my knowledge, he hasn't worked on a bat title and I'd love to see what he would produce given the opportunity.

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer my questions and an even bigger thank you for the podcast. Both this and The Invincibly Super Massive are two treats I look forward to every week. I don't pay attention to wrestling otherwise I'd check out Endless Promo.

I've been reading comics for about a year now and want to branch into X-Men. I picked up a couple X-Men titles a few months back and was so confused and lost that I decided my money was better spent on different comics. I have recently decided to give it another shot and after talking to my local comic shop owner I picked up Avengers vs X-Men. I also picked up House of M and X-Men: God Loves, Man Kills because I have been told that they are great stories.

Using the books I have listed as a starting point I'd like to know what trades and or arcs I should get to fill out my knowledge so that I am not so lost when trying to get into the current series being released. Any and all information will be greatly appreciated. I have been trying to find the information myself and piece things together but it has been quite a challenge. Thank you for your time and help!

For any other comic book noobs out there I have started a blog with the intention of gathering information like this that is helpful to those just getting started

I need three required reading Marvel titles to add to my pull list. The Punisher is the only Marvel book I read and I want to get a better handle on the Marvel Universe. I tried a couple Spider Man and X Men titles but was unable to really get into them. Maybe I should get trades first to get acquainted with the Marvel Universe?
