Origins
 Yuri Stymest-NessmanYuri Stymest-Nessman was born in Zvembe-7, MiBith to Jac'kobvi Nessman, a veteran Nzimi special ops soldier-turned-lawyer and Mehl'ani Stymest, an interior designer. His childhood was active and competitive, spending most of his time on athletic clubs. He took interest in gymnastics, hybrid martial arts and archery. His parents supported him, pouring time and intimate energy in fostering his interests. At the age of 7 his athletic interest took a fateful turn after an achilles tendon injury that put him physical therapy for 8 months. He learned his injury was caused by a genetic mutation, one that allowed him to call upon the wind with his mind. He hid this from his therapist, parents and physicians out of embarrassment. He did everything in his power to hide his avian ability. Unable to do his athletics competitively, Yuri struggled with his emotions having no outlet to articulate and release them. He did things to constantly test his parents and the people's around him patience with him through pranks, stealing, tantrums and impulsive decisions. A company of artist, the Tenilles des Orlay relocated from the contentious Lapiz Coast to Zvembe-7 and hosted performances, community outreach and workshops. As a form of consequence for one of his destructive antics Yuri volunteered with his parents to help the transplanted arthouse. Powers & Abilities
Aerokinesis (Genetic Mutation)
Mentally linked to the air Yuri has the ability to create, manipulate and diminish air with a simple thought. This warrants a litany of abilities at Yuri's disposal. Manipulating the air currents around his body allows him to perform self-propelled flight. In combat situations he can activate strong gust of wind that launches his targets as far he desires. More brutal methods of this ability have allowed the Zephyr to create a vacuum that saps the oxygen from his target's lungs. On a macro scale he can manipulate atmospheric pressure causing natural disasters.
Gymastics & Parkour
A hobby his parents enrolled him in to keep him occupied and off the hyperactive Harlem streets. Yuri developed his gymnastic skill to an olympic level ironically with the motivation to hit the streets performing parkour. His calisthetic body language contradicts his bulk size. He mounts surfaces high and low manipulating his body into somersaults, cartwheels, headsprings, walking handstands & flairs with laser sharp reflexes.
Archery
Gaining an affinity towards archery at prepubescent age of five, Yuri has developed an uncanny proficiency with the bow and arrow. As an operative of the Soichiro paramilitary organization Yuri was measured to naturally shoot arrows at the speed 425 miles per hour. With the pneumatic assistance of his aerokinesis he can launch an arrow over 1700 miles per hour. This has tiered him with sharpshooters that carry sniper rifles. His innate skill with the bow and arrow is unmatched, but his aerokinesis takes his ability to an avant garde level. With his aerokinesis he can guide arrows off their natural path and toggle their high speed to a halt.
Martial Arts - [MMA]
- Boxing: The southpaw heavyweight relies heavily on his agility and stamina to control the climate of the battle. Instead of blocking attacks he evades them bobbing, ducking, slipping and swaying. With his hand speed his punches have an explosive and dizzying connect.
- Muay Thai: Stacking upon his solid striking base Yuri developed his martial art ability with the acclaimed Thailand sport. Adding the brutal elbow strike, leg blows and neck clinches. His explosive strength and agility flourishes in clinches and flying knee strikes that wickedly deteriorates his opponents stamina.
- Hiyasha-ryu:The esoteric artform synthsized Yuri's martial skill prior onto a supernatural level. The Harlem Hammer has incorporated his aerokinesis into his combat, creating a uniquely potent skillset. Wind-powered uppercuts and whirlwind kicks gives Yuri an unnatural edge against his opponents.
Apparel & Equipment
Opputiku Bo [Optic Bow]: A Wata-Dai Corp. patented bow that creates a unlimited succession of laser arrows. Instead of reaching for an arrow he simply has to pull the string.
Yuri's Arrows
- Zing! - Has a ricochet effect and weight that allows the arrow to pierce more than one target.
- Tsu - A Tsu crystal point arrow that is compatible with the Opputiku Bo. It's capable of different effects toggled from the sight glass replacing the location of the arrow rest. The settings are: Smoke, Stun, Flash, Electricity, Fire, Explosion, Bind, Cryogenic.
Bolas:The interconnected ball point rope can be used to bind and restrain opponents. Optionally the bola can emit an electric charge to stun the opponent.
Mantis Suit:A Daisauke Watanabe x Yohji Yamamoto custom designed combat uniform made specifically for Yuri.
Cyberware Implants
